If we dont pass a law to reduce this these guys would take all our doctors we trained. Why cant dey subsidise their own schools to train more doctors
It shouldn't be a problem if the doctors who we tend to say know nothing are leaving. Shouldn't it be a thing to celebrate?

Failures can't believe others succeeded. Hence you think everyone else do the job you do.

11BC medicine right. Yet people get angry that the 11BC doctors are leaving. It shouldn't be a big deal then. The president seeks healthcare abroad, politicians come abroad to be managed by teams including Nigerian doctors, yet the soft targets receive the bashing.
okuta007:

let them leave, all this noise is so irritating to the eyes to read- as if leaving nigeria is a guarantee for success - let me tell you, 80% of them won’t even pass their certification exam in 10 years and will end up becoming biology avd physics teachers while trying each year to pass - i have seen many like that in California- dem think say with that their 11 BC medicine they studied in Nigerian Universities is enough to be recognized as a doctor in a place like USA? maybe in Malawi or Gabon - no developed society will recognize them as doctors when they step of the plane, except they go back to school spending years and pass the certification exams in those countries and after paper matter and unending bills and expense of living abroad drag them left and right ….. before they know what is happening - many will end up in professions far from medicine in the end -

Abroad is not Nigeria where you have the luxury to be a student - do nothing and be catered for as our parents did for us in Nigeria - here you work to pay bills as you go to school and only very few people will survive that lifestyle adjustment abroad because many will get frustrated and some may end up becoming mortuary attendant or package delivery agents just to pay the bills and eventually get tired of paying ihuge amount of money trying to get certified without success - the grass is always greener on the other side

in their eyes abroad is all milk and honey - they are all welcome to taste it, Amen

Family / Re: What Is the experience getting married to A Medical Doctor? by Oleash: 2:17pm On Jan 09, 2023
By her NYSC year means AFTER housemanship. A house officer's salary is around 200 pounds monthly. Tell me she can't save up to 1300 pounds by service year after earning close to 2400 pounds in her first year of work. Any other thing from service is extra. Plab 1 is written in Abuja, Lagos and Enugu. Nigerians have one of the highest pass rates of plab 2. It's so good that there's a believe that the more Nigerians in your plab 2 batch, the better you need to perform to pass. If you put in the work, you'll pass. My point still stands.
advanceDNA:

How will she pull it off with service year??
Exchamge rate is over 800naira to one pound

Plab 1 is 247£
Plab 2 is 906£
There is no exam centre in nigeria or africa ... doctors travel to Manchester to sit for the exam....that means visa cost, plane ticket, hotel accomodation .....

How much do u think they are paying NYsC doctors ...?? grin its not a simple matter for NYSC doctor or even the ones working full time...

some dont pass the exam once....after passing...they will spend money on IELTS, visa fees, rent and settling down fees.... e pass two million now ooo, especially with the bad exchange rate

If the lady is serious, she can raise the money for her exams by NYSC year, get a job and earn more than she spent within 2 months maximum. It costs around 2 million.
I don't think OP "sending her abroad" will be a big deal to her because she can do it for herself. She'll most likely be more financially stable than him.
advanceDNA:

Yes... she can wait for years to earn the money needed cos its not small change.....or she can do it on another person's expense...

grin .... u and i know some women prefer spending other pple's money even for what they need ....or havent u heard countless stories of men sending women to university??

Travel / Re: Japa Story: The Cost Of Relocating To The UK With Family by Oleash: 9:35am On Dec 01, 2022
All these is based on analysis of going for masters. How about the cost of relocation as a sort after professional with relocation package: visa, flight and accomodation paid for? VIP airport pickup and jobs with over 60k salary. There's a global talent visa and jobs for highly skilled professionals. Yet, people shortchange themselves to go through "student route".

Just google America's most iconic sportsmen of all time. Tom Brady won't show up in the top 10. Probably even top 20. But you'll see Jordan up there only behind Bo Jackson. Tom Brady compared to Jordan??
NFL is played and watched mainly in USA compared to NBA which is global hence you won't know so much about. I follow NFL and I know their stars both active and retired. Tom Brady is still playing and is as big as Jordan was. He has won 6 Superbowls which is out of this world. Other stars like Peyton Manning, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Ray lewis were big. You see a lot of NFL stars in commercials but you don't know them. They play with helmets on hence their faces aren't so prominent.

They edited this video so we don't see his full responses to the questions.

They made it seem as if he couldn't defend why preachers buy private jets.

Please post a better video let's see the full interview
The 11-minute video is available on YouTube and he made no sense within that period. He doesn't like flying commercial because "he'll be in a long tube with demons". You can guess those he is calling demons.

Nigerians should watch out for God's Time Motors and Peace Mass Transit buses. These two are slaughter companies.

Their drivers are out to drink blood cry
This is "God's time is the best motors", not " God's time motors ". They actually have a very good safety record. They are the first choice for most people travelling from Jos to Onitsha/Awka. I have travelled with them numerous times.

This is so so poor and sensational journalism.

How would you say people traveling by train do that cos of security reasons.

Many of us travel because of the low cost, comfort and of course to see the country side.

Do you mean that when security improves, vips would abandon the train?

Do you know the entourage that go with senators not to talk of a major general?

This journalist irritates me.
It is not sensational, its the truth. The trains get so full that people stand and even sit on the floor. The demand is so high that there is ticket hoarding and eventually sold to the highest bidder. Travelled via the train last week and couldn't get a ticket despite arriving 2 hours early. People would rather wait for 4 hours for the next train instead of going by road.

The bible didn't give a definition of "men's clothings". It's a factor of culture. In those days, Jewish men wore robes. Why don't deeper life men wear robes? I don't see anything wrong with women wearing trousers. I hope he tells all his female members in the army, customs, FRSC, nysc etc to reject the trousers.

Politics / Re: AFP Or Nigerian Army? Who Lied About The 30 Military Men Killed By Boko Haram?. by Oleash: 9:48am On Sep 03, 2018
The Nigerian military has a long history of lying and cover up. They lied about the gudumbali massacre of over a hundred soldiers only to finally admit and erect a monument years later for soldiers that died in an event that "never happened". I would rather believe the internationally acclaimed AFP.

Chai, 62 soldiers lost in one day? Yet the country is not officially fighting any war!! They are even denying it out of shame despite the fact that those 62 soldiers are human beings with families.
The army lost over 150 soldiers at gudumbali in one day. They covered it up and only admitted to it after 3 years. A memorial was put up in their honor this month
