I wanted to comment before but I had to check myself. Why go all the way to Canada and use a mid wife? It's not worth it in my opinion. Just like someone that had C-section for first birth and said you want v- bac, when you don't have insurance. What if complications come up? The money you don't want to spend is what you will spend. |
wintabotom:Yes, you can. I did online application and started it in October. Visa was gotten 1st week in December. |
ozymes:OK thank you sir |
Hello everyone Pls I want to start visa on arrival for my baby though we are not leaving until first week in March. I just need the page so I can read up on it. Then is it too soon for me to apply? Cc Oga @Ozymes. |
Hotstepper:I understand , can I chat u up? |
Congratulations! Where are you? Am in Edmonton. I informed you on whats app when I had my baby. Though you may not know it was me. Please ma, I need information on visa on arrival. I have gotten baby's birth certificate and we are in the process of getting her Canadian passport tomorrow. |
I travelled at the week I did because US refused to grant me visa and so when canada came through, I did what was best for my child. But iI would say that it's best not to travel with a toddler especially an active one except you are going with your spouse or mum. In my case, i travelled with my husband and both are going back pretty soon. |
So far I have paid the following bills; Hospital - 2062.50Cad per day for baby 3972.50Cad per day for me Peaditrician- 320Cad ( 60Cad first visit, 200Cad comprehensive visit, 60Cad subsequent visit after 7days) I will get gynae's fees and epidural when I go for 6weeks check up. |

Hello everyone, To continue from my last post, my family friend whom I stayed with in Edmonton had helped me to book an appointment with their family doctor who is a Nigerian. I got on the 12th dec and I went in to him the next day. He recommended a nigerian gynae but the fees he was quoting was above my budget about 10,0000Cad. So I googled obstetrian in Edmonton and I started calling them bearing in mind their online reviews. Thank God I was able to get like 4 of them willing to accept me as I was already 36wks plus nearing 37wks. I told them I am paying out of pocket and looking at repeat Csection. I went in to a Dr Amanda Kim in Edmonton but I wasn't comfortable abt her as she was not explicit with her fees, pls I don't recommend her, you can read her reviews online. She told me to deposit 5000Cad and its from there that she will pay the paed, anaestologist and remove her fees on my behalf though, she was wasn't clear how much. I left and went for my next appt with Dr Thomas Gleason. I was comforble with their explanation and I was asked to deposit 3000Cad and its from there he will give anestologist and remove his fees. He also had fairly good reviews but the downside is that you will wait like 30mins to see him but get ready will spemd like 1hr with you. Next he booked my Csection day with Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton and I spent 24hrs. The gynae helped me by booking my procedure for 9am and I spent that whole day i.e. 2nd Jan and I was discharged 11pm 3rd Jan. |

Colouredgirl:Yes we included letter of Invitation from a friend who's a student. |
flgd:Yes I applied for visiting. But at the point of entry, they asked my husband our purpose and he said vacation and childbirth. He said its not illegal to give birth in Canada but if we have enough funds. Husband told him we have over 10000cad, and he asked us to go declare. |
Hello everyone Just to share with you few dev. about my missionary journey. Well am in canada now, i came in using klm using vanvouver as my port of entry and final destination alberta. Thanks hotstepper for offering to help mam when I reached out to you. POE was a breeze as I came with my hubby and son. Hubby was the one answering questions and thank God my toddler kept me busy as he just started to cry. What I have noticed here is that its completely different. As ppl ahead have said, you need someone on ground to book appt with their family doc who will refer you. Most of the gynaecologist I called were asking for referral from my family doc. I will inform you when I get a gynae to accept me. Some also accepted to see me straight away. One asked for my previous c-section report i did in the US. Will have to fax that to him. But you need to be here first. All the best everyone. |
nkky:Congratulations |

Please I want everyone to help me torchlight what the voluntary wrote on my white form. I have attached it cos she mention all receipts for medical care I received but where she ticked is saying something else. Do I present past receipts as well as my budget sheet, bank statement and correspondence from doctors on this recent missionary journey I want to embark on? @Justwise, @omobendel, @Overlord. Please help.

I went fory 221G interview this week and here are few things I can remember. Brief summary of my journey I applied for b1b2 visa in 2014 and I traveled for vacation. Did drop box in 2016 and I applied using b2 and stated childbirth as my intention. Visa was issued and I traveled in 2016 to give. Applied via drop box again in August when visa expired to use it for another birthing purpose which I stated in my form. VO: hello and how are you? Me: I am fine thank and you Ask for my passport and I passed it to her. VO: why do you want to travel to the US? Me: for vacation and childbirth. She type for a few seconds after going through my passport and mentioned that I traveled in 2016 and asked what for. Me: yes I did, to have my baby. VO: asked how much the whole thing cost Me : I told me $8000 She then went on about if I know how much it cost to birth in the US normal delivery not to talk of me that did C-section. That it's not possible that I will get a bill that small. That they are passing it to government without me knowing. Me: I told her I didn't know that, when I called the financial counselor to inquire. I asked for what they charge self paying patients and I was sent that document which is in your hand. I told them that I don't want to use medic aid and for every service rendered I ensured I pay cash. VO: asked my intended date of travel and when am due. Me: so and so day. Then gave her my edd but explained that this might come earlier than cos of the way my first came due to a health condition that I developed. She now capitalised on that saying didn't I know that I was going to give birth that I left naija in October that I should have known. I was shocked at what she was saying and I had to reiterate what I had told her earlier about applying with a b2 visa and stating my intention both in my drop box and at the POE. VO: typed for a while, looked at my receipts that I gave her and said, OK let's do the maths cos what I have here is not totaling how much you said you spent. She did and said what she had was just 4k dollars. Me: I don't have doctors itemized bill as well as that of the anaesthesia ,just zero balance letter. VO: apologised for the trouble but that she will like to see all my itemized receipts for previous birth. She also asked if I had applied for visa in another country recently . Me: yes VO: which country? Me: Canada Vo: is it for citizenship reasons bla, bla? Me : yes and that's one of the reasons am applying for this visa as well. Vo: brought the white paper and asked me to take my receipts to DHL without my passport. Me: thanked her and left. What I have learnt from this Insist on itemized bill from everyone that is involved I.e from doctor, to pediatrician, to hospital, to anaestologist . Zero balance is not cutting it again. |
Ameera2018:Please whats wrong with Midas? I was thinking of using them. |
Just to share about my experience recently as I am meant to go for 221G interview soon in trying to make sure I have al my receipts ready, I discovered I didn't have itemized bill for both pediatrician and anaestologist even though i had paid my bills in full. I called them and only for me to discover that in 2016 when I got a discount of 25% and I paid the bill right there and then that the person did not write off the discount but left it and so it was showing like as if I was owing. So they sent my name to collections . It took close to an hour on the phone with them to get it sorted out and they emailing my itemized bill to me. This is for those that use sheridan |
Yes I did but not from Oakbend. Go ahead and open it. It will take you to where you need to print. Greatg0809: |
Hello dear Did you call requesting for an earlier date? This happened to me too. What i did was to book the date i saw on my dashboard, then i sent them an email explaining that the date i am seeing which was 1st week in feb 2019 is way past my edd. I was rescheduled for a date in November last week. |

Hello sis, I think its Only for women with blocked tubes. If you have confirmed through HSG that your tubes are open then there's no need for it. |
ninab:Praying likewise for her. because those of who even declared our intention are still looking for date for second missionary journey. |
[quote My sister, i will advice you to do the flushing o. It is similar to hsg but with the flushing, you do it like four times in a week while with hsg its only once. Hsg involves x-ray flushing does not. But before going for flushing, try and save money to get drugs. There are people selling it on this thread. Read my story and blendy's story too. All the best |
@triplemama Pls I want to ask if you were able to get an itemized bill from Henrico? I will upload what I had from them so we can compare. |
Hello everyone, I have been a silent folloer of this thread. I gave birth in 2016 usa and i used B2 visa when i applied through dropbox. Now my visa expired in august and I submitted for another dropbox. I got the famous 221G and was asked to schedule an appointment for interview. The only available date I can see available is February 2019 which will be past my past edd. Though I chosen one date in Feb, just want to ask if there is anything I can do to FastTrack to get a date in November at most. Cc Justwise, Firstymum, Ladyg, momo, shrekandfiona, Phema and everyone that has gone through this. Thanks |
Thanks again and God bless you always.
No dear I don't sell. But contact mumyhaja or go back on this thread you will see those that sell. How long have you been on serrapeptase? If you can afford it, add the Chinese teas, wobenzyme as well. What I did was to order online using amazon through friends that travelled abroad and they brought them in for me. It's way cheaper that way. |
Having a what's app group is OK. But I think it shouldn't stop us sharing where we are, what we are doing now to encourage ourselves. I have been afraid that this thread has gone silent for too long. Hope we all are OK? |
[Futuremoma34quote author=Queenlala post Hi I will say continue with the serrapeptase. Please don't stop using it. On the side, you could do pregnancy test at home. You never know. Then aside from serrapeptase, hope you are doing the massage with castor oil as well? That very key. All the best. |
