olenyi: 4922A. It is versatile, has more features, regular software updates, cheaper, sleeker, more favoured by FTA enthusiasts.

Though if one wants to subscribe to mytv packages, then 4940 it is.

SULIEMAN3: I was using it before i got for myself a 4922A. It has not been more than three years it was bought.
Yes, i have done data transfer via Rx cable.

It ceased working while i was watching a channel and i had to put it off and on again before it could come back to normal then after few seconds (not even minutes), it cease again and it might dislay any number on the front panel.

olenyi: What receiver model are you using? Remember that, that kenyan mux/package is transmitted on ''multistream'' format and as such, requires special receivers to comfortably pick the signals.

DAMOCA: Any one to help me i was trying to catch intelsat 22 at 72.1 for the kenya packege i have 16 fta channels with 73% signal. but the problem is that the cracking to much that you can not see any thing. what should i do to boost the signal

SULIEMAN3: I connected my 4669 today, surprisingly, it starts hanging. I downgraded the software and the problem still persists.

I have a unique problem. 3g reception is so poor in my sitting room where the tv and the decoders are based. It takes a second to flip from 3g to edge. Funny enough the rest of the rooms have stable 3g as my phone shows 3 bars and above. To arrest this, i bought a usb extension cable of 3 metres and plugged it in the decoder and the other end with a modem i 'took' it to one of the rooms with stable 3g. Problem is that the decoder now senses the modem for a second then loses it. This is frustrating me despite 3g now being stable. I genuinely need help, is it the cable? What can i do right?
