@ Virt. Thank God that you scaled through Madonna and WES. I have 2 questions. 1. Can I get your contact person's info, as i'm about to start my ECA process with WES. 2. Did your contact still do the needful and follow up till verification or did u have to go there yourself to sort things out? Tnx in advance.

Virt:
Congrats TTTTolu.

Finally ECA completed. 2 months journey with WES ended today.

IMPatiently waiting for next draw.

This is where my headache lies now, payments. When did u make your payment and how did u go about making it with stanbic IBTC?

deleyi20:
Wow, it's quite expensive. Stanbic IBTC charges NGN230/1aud... However, I can't ascertain if the bank has above $1000 monthly spending limit.

OmogeNG:
The way Accountant assessments go is, your qualification and employment are assessed seperately. So you can obtain a qualifications assessment only, and forget about getting a skilled employment assessment, as long as you have the compulsory units for Accountants on your transcript.

However, if you intend claiming points for work experience, then you work experience needs to be relevant to your nominated occupation. So you can't claim points under Accountant, based on Internal Auditor work experience.

Best is for you to assess as an I/E Auditor, and assess your skilled work experience to claim points.
@ OmogeNg
For clarity, are points claimed separately for skill and qualification? Suffice to say that I will get more points if both my skill and qualification are assessed,Abi?

Please I will like to know if transcript from a professional body (ICAN) can suffice instead of transcript from a university. Has anyone in the house used such?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Olisedinma:
Please I'm inquiring as regards assessing bodies

I want to use my ICAN qualification to be assessed under General Aacounting

But my job experience has been majorly Audit (both external and internal )

Please what do u advise. Is it ok to use my ICAN qualification and is it ok to be assessed under General Account despite my job experience ?

Thanks for the response. I know internal audit and external audit are available. But I would prefer to be assessed for general accounting. My question is this , is it ok to be assessed under general accounting despite my work experience as an auditor?

Thanks for attending to my question

I was thinking of assessing my qualification based on my ICAN qualification under General Accounting

Then what visa do want then?

If you want to visit your husband then apply for a visit visa. You don't need him to send invitation letter i.e.he does not need to invite you. I'm assuming when he applied for tier4 he indicated you as his wife.

Since he's staying with your cousin and that is where you will be too then that is the accommodation you will write that you will stay. Your cousin can simply say his accommodation can take you as well as your husband.

Since you can sponsor yourself then its your funds that is important. You will show that you can feed yourself etc whilst you are there. As long as your visit time is not lengthy.

However if its that you WANT to stay in the UK then you would need to fulfill the requirements of tier4 dependent visa. That is a different story all together.
Thanks a great bunch . You have really given me a clear insight. I just want to visit no intention of staying. Just 2 weeks or so.

So from your response I won't be needing any document from my husband . But what evidence will I need from the cousin.

And any Pointers on what not fill in the form
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Olisedinma: 11:59pm On Dec 25, 2015
salsera:
No cousins are not considered family and why would you exclude husbands details

Did your husband also deny you in his application?
Do you want to claim to be single?
Is visiting your husband a crime that you need to cover your true intentions?
Is your husband in the Uk illegally?
Is he really studying?

Because if he is on a tier 4 visa you can legally reside in the Uk with permit to work on a dependent visa ( you just need to show a certain amount of funds) for the duration of his stay.

Do you now see why I posed all these questions
Thanks for all the questions. He is studying and has a tier 4 visa, he resides with his cousin who has legal paper as a resident of the UK.

The perceived issue is that if my husband does the inviting the funds he has may not be sufficient, but since I have sufficient funds and I'll be staying at his cousin's place we thought it may be ok for his cousin to invite me

Please what is ur take on this

Hello all,

Any NL schooling at Salford university, manchester that requires accommodation, as I have a single room to let out in my flat. Let me know. Cheers!
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by Olisedinma: 1:16pm On Oct 15, 2014
@Disguy: I know,i deferred for october,as classes starts Nov 3rd.
Is is compulsory for one to hold cash as I don't want to be hassled by our Yeye immigration dudes at d airport.
DisGuy:
your best bet will be the low budget hotels- you should be scouting for accommodation from Nigeria! school is in session already, so you'll be scrapping the bottom of the barrel now...salford has a lot of new development coming up, lots of investment and the schools had a massive drive to attract students, cost of living is fair..but as with student town theres a premium to some services though still cheaper than the capital...you'll be competiting with thousands of others students for part time jobs esp thouse that arrived earlier

Morning all, pls I will like to know how best to get a cheap accommodation upon arrival before scouting for a permanent place as a friend at last minute messed up my housing arrangement even when he knows I depart tomorrow. How's the student life at salford, the living cost and possible part time employment for Msc students
Thanks.
Justwise,anyone waiting.

@alizenbohr. Thanks mate!
alizenbohr: I don't know about the 28-day rule but I just booked an appointment for Tier 4 student visa today. The closest interview date for VFS Ikeja is 24th September (soon to change).

Hence I suggest that whatever you need to do, do very quick as VFS Ikeja centre ends visa processing on 30th Sept while Teleperformance takes over.

Hello House,

Is there anyone who applied and submitted his online application before the count of the 28days rule and dropped his documents on the day he chose his appointment that got his visa? I need to know cos as it stands, going by what I have been reading on this thread, TP is a no go area(soon to be tier 4 Lords),so I can chose VFS before they run out of appointment spaces.

Cc justwise,SpikesC,anyone response pls.

Can d continuous inflow of funds into an account hamper the counting of the 28days rule when you have gotten the required balance for fees and living costs?
