Leyqute:Aside Guehi all the English players are playing like Sunday league players. You singled out Foden but what about the guy at the other end and the guy up top? If he shows for the ball and gets it, people will still complain that he's just ball to feet and no movement. Now he's making runs yet he's still called out. Most pundits especially Lineker and Shearer complained about off the ball movement and I think that's what Foden is trying to do. |
If they meet at any stage, wetin Columbia/Uruguay go use Argentina/Brazil see for this Copa eh. Especially Uruguay! |
andrewbaba44:Even the just concluded UCL. But since nah South America, it's unfair! |
afrodoc2:doc, VAR or not, no chance it happens again. May be in Sunday league but you see Europe top 5 it's almost impossible. 5 goals in 9 minutes lol...I wonder wetin Wolfsburg dey do to concede 5 goals in 9 mins. Even 4 goals in 90 minuites is already daunting |
andrewbaba44: ![]() He made valid points concerning the award and no matter how people scream about drop in quality, someone has to win it, just like those who won before Messi/Ronaldo. But what I noticed about him is that 4 out of 10 of his comments must be something related to Barca even if it doesn't really warrant it. but it's all good sha, nothing spoil! |
WhoDeyHause: ![]() You dey funny oo lol. How u go read all that and see it as pains nah. I was just trying to explain to him that loan no dey work for here and praised Guui for taking bold steps just like those before him. My only issue is him joining Chelsea. I for prefer a development club like Dortmund, Benfica, Monaco, Ajax etc. Those who took bold steps and left either via normal transfer or free transfer succeeded example Pique, Grimaldo, Fabregas, Dani Olmo, Xavi Simons, Take Kubo, Pepe Reina... Aside Fermin, those who went on loan didn't make it at Barca but had good to decent careers example;Cucurella, Munir, Bojan, Oriol Busquet, Sergi Samper, Alena, Chrtian Tello, Deulofeu, Nico Gonzalez, Fati** Our loan no dey work that's why I said Guui is smart for taking a bold step. But staying was also another bold step because Balde succeeded here for refusing loan, same with Valdez and Puyol. I'm happy for him!
|
mostob:Alright, no wahala if you feel both are on the same level but I think Roque edges him slightly. Yeah, you're right a loan would've been the perfect thing to do but a loan is only good on paper when it comes the history of FC Barcelona. Here, once you're loaned out, that's the end. Aside Fermin can you name a Barca player in the last 20 years who went on loan and came back to be important? Cucurella, Munir, Bojan, Oriol Busquet, Sergi Samper, Alena, Chrtian Tello, Deulofeu, Inaki Pena, Nico Gonzalez, Fati*, Eric Garcia* all went on loan came back and were never important. Puyol was asked to go on loan many times but refused, same with Valdez. Guui actually looked at history and thought otherwise. Balde was heavily linked on loan too but thought otherwise and it worked for him. Guui is smart and knew he wasn't starting ahead of Lwey and new purchase Roque but Chelsea move is what I don't like. I for prefer Ajax, Dortmund or even Monaco. I rest! |
mostob:They're very different lol I judge players based on eye test and their stats. With that on ground, Roque is better for now. Roque is currently clear of Guui. Roque was a starter in Brazil with Parathnes and was arguably their best player. If Barca didn't rush him here, he would've made the Brazil Copa squad. He was in top form at the time. I like him(Guui) and wanted him to be the sub before we bought Roque that's because he has the physique/eye for goal to be a top 9 like Lewy but hasn't shown enough. With the B team(3rd division) he's a bench player. Pau Victor and Diego Percan are ahead of him but he's got more potential than both though. You'll only understand this paragraph if you follow Barca Athletic. Guui was shuffling between juvenile A, Barca B and the Barca first team. I have nothing against him but with Lewy and a 40m player in Roque, Guui was always going to be the third choice striker. Leaving Barca was a good choice and nothing against Chelsea but I wish he joined a team like Dortmund or Ajax for better development. |
BlueRayDick: ![]() Since Messi has more balondor, people won't care to read because the award, like the just concluded world cup will always be rigged to favour him. This was basically the last kick before penalties and believe me if this ball had gone in, there won't be any talk of "rigged world cup" but bants after bants aimed at Messi. 😂 😂 😂
|
Kilishihunter:I have no problem with Natalie and Guui leaving because we can't keep them all. Natalia isn't better than Cubarsi or Faye. Guui for all his ability isn't better than Roque. Lamasia will continue to Masia and will keep producing good talents to complement the first team. My own issue is Gbeco scouting players for other teams. It's becoming a trend. |
BlueMann: ![]() Omoh, you dey watch ball oo. I never knew anything about this guy until today!
|
jpmoriarti:From the information I'm getting. Nico's total package may actually surpass 100m. We're not getting Nico, not this season at least! |
[quote author=Kilishihunter post=130649196]Omo
![]() You know the funny thing, Deco is actually a great scout but for other teams. I didn't know this boy until today. I just watched his highlights and he's looking like Dembele with football sense. Arrda Guler, Bergval, Mokio and now Jayden I can guarantee you that we're not gonna sign him. He'll be linked for some weeks then another team will swoop in. |
andrewbaba44:Baba you can never tell and Championship is very high level. Adam Wharton was signed from Championship in January 2024 and he's one of the reason why Palace had a super season. He even made the England squad in the process. Leicester signed Madison when he was still in the championship. Dortmund signed Bellingham when he was still in the championship. Eberechi Eze from Championship too. I know he's now a flop but Arnuat Danjuma signed for Villarreal when he was in the championship and did well for Villarreal back then. Aside Championship, Martineli signed for arsenal from a third division team in Brazil. Also, Fermin is from the third division and he's doing well for our first team. On this boy, if the talent is there and he's willing to work, I won't mind him. I even heard it's a loan with option to buy so it's not bad to give him a try. I'm not excited about him though because he seems like another English speed merchant. Time will tell! |
Kimbeast:The aim of my original post was not to do Messi-Ronaldo bant. Whether Messi can adapt, play good football/score goals outside planet earth wasn't the essence of the post. I wasn't the original poster. I just copied what he said and tried to make some clarity. I even said "nothing against Ronaldo" in that particular post. I don't run in circles with Ronaldo/Messi opera but I always maintain that Messi is my own goat. If Ronaldo is yours, great. The real aim was to clarify what the person who quoted hensben said. May be you can check it out. That's all! |
Sportsweb:Nothing against Ronaldo. But it's not so hard to understand his point nah. I mean one is not like the other nah. Ronaldo played more matches in Europe Messi has most goals scored...meaning Ronaldo has appeared more in Europe while Messi has scored the most goals in same Europe. This one is particularly limited to Europe. By Europe I think he's looking at club football in Europe not international football. Ronaldo has more goals scored but it is Messi with most golden boot...This one is more generic but here, Ronaldo has almost 1000 goals(all comps), but Messi despite not scoring up to that has won more golden golden boots in general...all comps. They're not the same, look again. |
Vischy: ![]() Mbape, Neymar, yes. Messi, no... Messi joined 2021/2022 and left 2022/2023. They won the League both times with Messi so he wasn't there when Jonathan won it. Jonathan was also sharing minutes with the experienced Burak Yilmaz then. |
Guui will be missed @FCB but it seems Chelsea is going full project Wenger. Interesting...
|
andrewbaba44:A pure 9. If given a chance at Chelsea he'll thrive. I thought he was gonna replace Lewy but well.... What can I say... |
drisham:They don't need this match to qualify, yes but with their first 11 on the pitch, you can tell that they want to win this game and then top the group. They want the win.... That's not happening yet so game on... |
Kilishihunter:Their model is working for them. Djalo another speed demon. Let's see where Nico will play next season. My guess is a PL club! |
Kilishihunter:I think Nico will join Bayern or a PL club if Barca do not sign him. I don't see him staying there next season. Sane, Koman and Gnabry may leave so it may be Bayern. Olise 🤝 Nico. Alvaro Djalo just joined Bilbao from Braga for about 30m. He could be the Nico replacement. They're very similar in play style and Djalo is very rapid. |
BlueRayDick:Lol, ![]()
|
WhoDeyHause:Okay! |
Ijustwantto:Watch this instead.... Ankara Messi nah Laliga. The stake was higher here...#UCL final!
|
Ijustwantto: ![]() Very difficult one but choice must be made lol... Dinho's dribbling is more entertaining and there's more flair. Messi's dribbling is very effective and more focused on goal scoring or creation. Dinho sometimes dribble to entertain even when the stakes are very high, you'll never see that with Messi. If nah monkey post/5 or 7 aside, I'll pick Dinho to wow the crowd, if nah big post I'll pick Messi because of efficiency. Messi for me!
|
![]() Andrewbaba, Onana was moving like Thomas Partey today oo. E fit be say nah Dyche ball dey make am play like carpenter ooo. He was really solid today, I love what I saw from him but the jury is still out. Let's see what he'll do against a high pressing team as the tournament goes on. Time will tell. |
Awesome01:Yeah, I don't want him sold too. I just feel that if we sign Nico and secure another loan for Felix then he may leave. Could be him or Ferran. We'll see come summer! |
BlueRayDick:Okay, I get you! |
BlueRayDick:Until he's given the job then qualifying for major tournaments becomes rocket science. I don't rate Southgate but I don't think Lampard is good enough for the English job.
|
Awesome01:Exactly and I believe most Barca fans are on this page. But if we get Nico, then Raph, Nico, Yamal and Ferran are okay for the LW and RW meaning even Felix won't be needed. However, if Raph is sold and we're able to have Nico then Felix on loan makes sense. Because we'll now have Nico/Felix LW, and Ferran/Yamal RW. |
raumdeuter:Okay! |
