Hello house, please I would appreciate any advice on this oliyeniun: |
Hello house, I purchased a PowMr 60A MPPT CC barely two months ago for my parents setup, unfortunately they called me that the display stopped working and they are not able to ascertain if the batteries are charging. Their installer also travelled so he hasnt been able to go take a look. Please any advice on what to do? Or anyone experience such? Thanks |
Oga ur whatsapp no go. I want to purchase some items |
Thanks boss! |
Good evening house. Please kindly address this question. Thanks in advance. oliyeniun: |
Good morning house. Happy new month to all. Please I would like to purchase batteries for my aged parents and wondering which of these will give me longer years of use among: - quanta - monbat - index nft It is basically for powering a 55' LCD tv, two fans and five 5watt bulbs. Currently have a 750W solar panel array + 1.5kw schneider hybrid inverter. Looking to add one more 250watt panel plus MPPT for faster charging (there is a limit on the array of panels for the hybrid inverter). Please kindly give user experience on any of these and suggest appropriate one. Thanks in anticipation. |
Much appreciated feedback Oga Valto. God bless your knowledge. Valto: |
sirs, please help out. Thanks. oliyeniun: |
Hello house, please is it true that this amarom quanta has 10years warranty because someone wants to sell this to a friend of mine and said it is even better than tubular. Then this MPPT too. Please any one used it before and can give review on it? Many thanks.

oga, good morning, do u have used telecomms batteries for sale? |
Oshomo12:thanks for this insight @Oshomo12 Noted on the different wattage for the panels. We stay very far away sir! On baby sitting the tubular batteries, it would be helpful to have an idea on how often the water need to be topped? monthly? quaterly? Thanks. |
Hi House, Good evening to you all. i am a bit of a novice but very much interested in solar energy. Please i need recommendation on good low maintenance battery brand that one can buy for aged parents. i am looking at buying Quanta, that is what i use personally and it has served me for more than two years and still counting, though DoD isnt more than 50% most of the time except in extreme conditions. the electrolyte ones we got them did not last more than one year, Apart from quality, i am also looking for something that can last for at least five years. Heard those that use distilled water lasts longer, is this true?. if this is the case, how often does the water need to be topped up? in order to upgrade the system, is it possible to add panels say two 350 watt panel to an existing 250 watts panel array without it affecting the setup (All 24 volts)? Also i may need to buy a CC for the setup because the inverter has an inbuilt CC which by adding more panels, will exceed its capacity. Kindly recommend a good and not too expensive CC to use for this. Thank you in advance for your response and also recommendation on who can supply these without hitches. God bless you all. |
Most importantly, can anyone hook me up with installer based in sokoto? Thank you

hello house, i have a solar installation: 24V system, 1200Watts PV array, SuNex 130A MPPT CC (used to have an Epever CC which the installer blew up and replaced with this) 2 200AH Quanta batteries, bought last year and a bluegate 2KVA / 24V inverter. In my location as early as 10am, the battery indicators on each battery is already reading 14.1V because we have plenty sun . the issue is that since i changed from the Prag inverter i was using before to this bluegate inverter, when there is no NEPA and the inverter is on at this time, it goes turns off once the voltage reading on each of the battery gets to 14.1V and except i put plenty load on the inverter to bring the voltage down, it keeps tripping off, which i suspect is due to excess current and the possibility that the battery is full and the solar is still charging the battery (i may be wrong and i stand to be corrected). i also read it somewhere that Quanta manufacturers have a cut off voltage for longevity of their batteries at a much lower voltage (between 13.5-13.6 thereabout). i contacted an installer about the problem and he said i should install a circuit breaker between: i. the Solar Panels and the CC (60A) ii. the CC and the battery (30A) iii. the battery and the inverter (30A) this instruction is a bit strange to me and i am humbly asking the house what they think the problem might be and if the recommendation of the installer should be followed and if not, what should be done. I am counting on the house o. this investment must not waste o. Thank you. |
its so amazing that despite the well known fact that kiekie has been called a conman, he still freely posts items for sale on this forum. are there no measures to curb these kind of people on this forum? Just curious kiekie1: |
My thought exactly!!! To save face. jmaine: |
Thank you sir! my thought exactly! i was highly disappointed in him. but it is what it is. lessons learned. ojeysky: |
Hi House, I bought a set of panels from a renowned and respected person on this forum known for warning against fake solar panels and accessories. i have transacted business for a long time with this said person and had no cause to doubt his integrity. however my last transaction with him gave me reasons to question his business dealings with me as shady as i ordered for panels (three 250 Watts) and he told me he was sending flames panels which he got direct from the company. Unfortunately, when the panels came, there was no indication that it was a flames panel and the installer confirmed same. as at 1pm, i was getting less than 2Amps current on a single panel and it was quite sunny. Since then the person has cut off all communications with me as he was also trying to get kickback from the installer (which i got to know about later and refused to work with his agreement), this is after overpricing even the logistics of how the items got to me. please i am just curious, is it possible to buy a flames panel without the sticker indicating that it is flames? is there anyone with sample picture of how flames panels look? thank you |
Thank you for this unhoarded knowledge sir. olopan: |
Thank you sir. Are u in Ilorin? olopan: |
I am very much interested sir! I tried reaching out also. Thanks for this opportunity. Saipro: |
Thanks all for the response. It was really helpful. I appreciate. oliyeniun: |
No, its AGM and the inverter is a Schneider make. 1.5V. DUNKA: |
Can the experts please recommend a response? oliyeniun: |
Hello house, Please i am trying to install a solar panel system for my parents, can you recommend a good solar installer in Ilorin? Secondly, I want to ask if anyone can help with the schematic drawing for hybrid inverter connection. I am not an expert but I try to read up, and from my readings, it seems that the connection of solar hybrid inverter is different from the normal solar-inverter connection. Thirdly, I assume I don't need a charge controller if I am using a hybrid inverter...please help clarify. Lastly, what is the recommended cable size and type for connection from the panels to the inverter....this is so that if I don't get a recommended installer, I can at least monitor the one I can manage to get to ensure a good connection. Thanks house. |
Thanks for the feedback |
Hello house, Please I want to ask if anyone has used SMG lead acid inverter battery before?/Made in India. How good is it? |
1.2KW solar panels. the epsolar itself isn't working, fortunately, i had a PWM controller that i was using before. I just reverted back to it in the mean time pending resolution of the fault on the MPPT. zeestone99: |
Zilch! None yet! Bad thing is that i am requesting a change of inverter and the installer (who is also the seller) is insisting he cannot change the inverter or refund my money because he has broken the warranty seal of the inverter. I am at a loss of what to do because truthfully, i have concerns and reservation about the blue gate inverter, he is insisting that the wiring of my house might be faulty. I dont think so because i have used two luminous and most recently prag and no issues with house wiring. Could bluegate be that sensitive? zeestone99: |
Hi sir, more knowledge sir! thank you for your input. With all due respect, location is a constraint for me. I admit i have limited knowledge about solars and inverters but good enough to know when things are not the way they should be and i am aware there are professional installers on this thread, that is why i seek first, second and many opinions when i am unsure about things. would appreciate if you could recommend a good installer for me based in Sokoto. Thank you. zeestone99: |
Hello house, thank you for the prompt answer to my question. the installer however insisted that he disconnected the solar panel before removing the inverter cable, which i doubt and contradicts the report of my brother that was around when he came. right now, he is looking for how to get it fixed, hopefully it works and as @NiyiOmoIyunade advised, we wont fight but will resolve amicably. Thank you all for the prompt response. One more expert opinion please, the blue gate that i changed to does make a lot of noise, i mean the fan. it is still under warranty and i have the option of changing it if i dont like it, please can you recommend any good inverter : 24V , between 1.5KVA and 2. Thank you all. . NiyiOmoIyunade: |
