They use generally affordable components to thier devices which make them cheaper. And most of the compnies located into china, the manufacturing hub, per device cost comes down naturally.
There are expensive Andorid device like Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy note 8, and such device justify their price by offering something top notch !
