you are saying this because you got invited. I think you shouldn't be bothered about increased competition. like I said, company sources told me interviews have been concluded. The advice I gave that candidates should keep hope alive is my personal recommendation knowing how Mobil interview process works.

I sincerely do not have any valid information for now. Some company (Mobil Nigeria) sources have told me that they are done dispatching interview invites to all successful candidates. But knowing how the process works, I will advise you keep hope alive for additional 2 weeks. If nothing then, just move on.

UK is actually getting more receptive in the wake of Brexit. They will start issuing 6months stay for you to look for a Job after your schooling.

Guys in ExxonMobil are going to Canada (as you said) because it will not be hard for them to get a job there, if they eventually decide to go. Most just go to the US.

IOCs normally try to have a uniform standard of payment globally.

this is not entirely true. different salary range and allowances apply for IOC employees in different countries, depending on several factors.

Also, it is very true that some IOCs pay up to N25M for new hires. Why do you think IOC staffs who have worked for less than 3 years can build or buy a house in some choice locations in Lagos without a loan? You think they stole the money? You never see anything.

Same here... Again, remember roles for mechanical engineers in Exxon is very few compared to chemical engineers. So mechanical engineers may be fewer than the other disciplines.

It is an intray exercise (Google it) followed by panel interview.
I have to check if my email here is functional.

They've contacted those they want to contact, let's hope it is by batches, if not we move on.

It is in batches. They are not done. The interview spans for 2 to 3 weeks. They send mails for interview in phases. Be expectant for now.
