Before opening your dirty mouth to judge ask yourself how much is being made in both businesses, im sure the cleaning would make x3 or x5 of bank manager in naija, a legit bank manager without runs probably makes 400 to 600 here...

The cleaner there i believe makes 50k yearly on the average with enough time for other jobs, na to work 5 years and retire...
Not New York but UK. Read that OP's post well.
And a salary of USD 55K in New York is shit.ty.

Have u added the allowances and the tax free allowance?
How mich is same in Nigeria?
It's not about whether it is the same in Nigeria. It's about comparing what he earns with respect to his cost of living in UK vs what he was earning as a bank manager with respect to cost of living in Nigeria.
A salary of 23,000 pounds even if you add allowances is peanuts in UK. You will basically be barely surviving with mounting bills. No full time Nigerian bank manager is barely surviving in Nigeria.
The UK government has just increased the minimum salary threshold for foreign skilled workers to 38,700 pounds, which tells you how low the salary is.

That's one of the top paying jobs abroad because of the safety risk. To clean window no be small and if it makes you happy, good. Nigeria should let people be paid for their skills so unemployment can reduce. I wish Seun pays jobless people here to help the economy.

To those who always judge japa, many of you suffer from low self esteem. The land is green where you water the grass. If Naija bad for your eye, everything you do go bad, u no go see good thing there. Focus on your life wherever you are and stop wasting your time worrying about others.
The national average salary for a High rise window cleaner is £23,053 in United Kingdom.

I wonder why people steal from others. Don't they think of the consequences of been caught? Times are hard no doubt but they should understand that everyone is feeling the heat even those they steal from.
Lol. the same way you should find it hard to understand why married men / women cheat on others. The benefit of not getting caught outweighs the risk.

Family / Re: Over 25% Of Tested Men In Nigeria Aren’t Biological Fathers – DNA Report by olowoba2: 12:50pm On Sep 14, 2023
Acidosis:
That is a great figure for a non-representative sample. People who go for DNA tests already have some level of doubts about the paternity of their children. So, this finding cannot apply to "Nigerian men."

If only 25% of men who harbour doubts and trust issues regarding their children's paternity receive negative results, then it mean that 75% of men return home with a sense of relief and joy. To achieve a more representative data, the paternity clinic needs to select and test men at random from all geopolitical zones.

Good thinking. However, considering the fact that majority of people who do not have “peace of mind” may not be able to afford it or may just not be aware, you can’t conclusively say it’s good news.

- only a minute percentage of Nigerians can afford paternity test (given our poverty rate). So the population sampled does not in any way represent the percentage of people with lack of peace of mind. In addition, many people, especially from the rural areas and the North may not even be aware of the technology.

- the assumption that that those without doubts will have a higher positive results than those with pre-existing doubts has not yet been proven to be correct. Doubts mainly arise when people catch their partners cheating or suspect they are or have cheated. If a partner is able to do a good job disguising or pretending, then the partner will not know and may seem to have “peace of mind”. That’s why you see many men getting caught by surprise when their female partners are caught cheating. Having no doubts is not a guarantee of having a higher positive result, until proven by research through representative.

I wish the information had released further details on the percentage of positive results in each group i.e. those who did it for peace of mind, those who did it for immigration and those who did it for legal results. That would have been a quick way of testing your assumption.

Overall, I think it’s still a better than expected result, I agree with you there.

Cheating is a choice and not a mistake. Half of the time they cheated, they did it knowingly. So, no I won't forgive. Except I instigated it, then maybe I just will.

Loyalty is one of my core values.
You are contradicting yourself, you said half of the time they did it knowingly. Meaning the other half, they did it sleepwalking or what? And then you said cheating is a choice. Lol

True, but much higher chances that she will do it again. If you forgive a woman that cheats, prepare your mind that she can do it again.

Greed is part of human nature. We want it all, both men and women.
The only reason for the apology is that he/she was careless enough for you to find out.
I've always told my guys one thing;
Keep an open mind to cheating because there's a 90% chance that your woman must cheat on you throughout the course of your togetherness,be it in courtship or matrimony. The only reason why a lot of marriages and relationships are still ongoing and waxing strong is IGNORANCE.
If people were opportuned to see beyond the deceit and pretense, the divorce law industry will out-earn even the manufacturing sector.
How you can power out of this is by picking a mate that will FEAR you and wouldn't want to lose what they can access by virtue of associating with you, else you're on your own and exposed to this risk.
And as for you guys doing equality and modern marriage,na una go first collect from this pandemic.
So naive for you to think that woman you're doing equality with, that goes to her job everyday, meet all and sundry and even go on work trips where a lot can happen always come back home as she left grin grin
Start entertaining the idea so that you no go kpai when you see wetin you cause, unless you marry wowo wife that no one wants sha, then you're safe.

franchasofficia:
Infidelity or promiscuity or polygamy or whatever name you call it didn't start today and isn't on the rise anything lol.

Its just that our current world now have a better instant communication methods, all thanks to social media that now makes everything that used to be hidden open. Nothing that is happening in the world today started today....in fact, the world is even becoming better due to mobile cameras, hidden cameras, social media platforms that now put pressure on all humans to act and behave better than some decades ago where humans feared no video leak or social media outburst.

Another reason it seems like these things are on the increase today is due to overpopulation.....Nigeria was less than 50million people in the 1960s but today we are 200million plus.....approaching 300million or more if we take accurate census. So its highly expected for incidents like these to increase as the world's population increases.

We all must thank our God for creating us when the world has even become sweeter....imagine those that lived in the 1930s, 1940s, 1960s with 1st world war, 2nd world war, civil wars almost happening in every country and people being killed in the most brutal manners without conscience by their so called leaders unlike today.

You deserve a bottle of beer! You are absolutely, comprehensively and totally correct!

The program is just one year diploma
Like someone mentioned, except you have a lot of money and time to throw around, there is really no justification for you to go Canada to study for a program that has no PGWP. However, if you have the financial muscle, you can go ahead. You just need to secure another admission on time and apply for study permit extension. And you might not be ale to maximize the length of your PGWP. It just doesn't pay you.
Rather than spend that money, I would advise you to go for a 2-year course that would offer you 3-year PGWP instead.

Not sure it will fly, and also waste of time, and resources. In all honesty, I don't know why will someone want to apply to a school that doesn't offer PGWP. There's so many UNI’s and Colleges in Canada.
Fair enough. I consider it a total waste of money and time. What’s the essence of spending so much and you can’t work with it?

Because a refusal means another 3-4 months delay?? Under what rule is this ...please explain more?
There is no rule. Just the average time it takes to resubmit your application and have it processed. It could be shorter or longer.
You can check the average processing time online. For work permit from Nigeria, it is about 27 weeks.
