Bluebeach: Please anyone with the number for visitor visa telegram or WhatsApp group should drop it. In the question, have you travelled in the last 10 years? Can I say yes 8yrs ago and choose a country they can’t verify just to strengthen my application? The passport I’m using now was just renewed few months ago that is to say that the passport I used 8yrs ago is expired. Do people without travel history get visit visa approval? In my case I want to accompany my Canadian citizen child who is a minor. I have never applied to Canada before and my US visa application was denied 10yrs ago due to no strong ties Seems like to get a lengthy visa ban dey hungry you.. Canadian embassy and documents verification na 5 and 6. It's better you have a clean record with Canadian embassy than to messed it up. Getting a visiting visa without travelling history is 1/10 chances |

SlavaUkraini: The Young Officer did not Slay Wike at all...
Wike rather exposed the Impunity and indemnity that is rampant amongst highly placed individuals when it comes to building in the FCT...
(And Wike himself may be guilty of it too)
They were clearly developing on a piece of land for which they have no approval because if they indeed had the approval they would have presented it...
There would not be need for soldiers at the site...... Soldiers were there to intimidate and silent anyone asking for building permit ...
But this is not Abacha's era...
The place of soldiers remain the Barracks and Warfronts... And occasionally on Military establishments and sites
You don't see Soldiers guarding properties of Retired officers been developed in advanced nations when indeed they have government approval...
But I must say that it was very wrong for Wike to be calling that young officer a Fool in front of the Camera... And I like the response of the officer
But the right thing must be done if we are to progress as a nation...
Come to think of it....
It would cost that Retired Naval Officer little or nothing to obtain building approval for that land except the land was never legally handed to him .. ...
He may be having problems obtaining building approval probably because he got the land through the backdoor... Truth I was wondering why people are supporting nonsense in this country |

SmartPolician: Nigeria needs a firm leader to enact a law to control her population. No man should marry more than one wife if he doesn't earn more than 1m per month, especially in the north.
The president will also ban and criminalise street begging among healthy people! When resources are scarce, nobody should be having children like rats. I wish I'm the president of Nigeria. That's my first agenda |

Politics › Re: Who Lives Better: Income Of ₦1.5 Million In Nigeria Or $1,000 In The US? by oluayebenz: 8:25am On Oct 25, 2025 |
DoTheNeedful: I have been living in the US for almost a decade, and I can tell you that value of $1,000 in the US is less than 90k in Nigeria.
It is surprising that many of you, including graduates, don't understand that you can't just arbitrarily convert dollars or pounds to naira in this context.
You cannot start a family anywhere in the US with $1, 000. You would need at least a job that pays you $6,000 per month to think of marriage. An ideal monthly salary would be around $10,000.
With 1.5 million in Nigeria, you can afford to marry a jobless partner, support two children, and own a decent car.
You could eat out in Nigeria with 2k, but eating out in the US would cost you around 25 dollars (35k). I get a haircut every month for $50 (75k) in the US. In Nigeria, I could get the same haircut for around 1k.
If you have a baby in the US, you would need to spend around $2,000 (3 million) per month on day care. In Nigeria, you would pay maybe 50k.
I laugh each time I see some posts on social media converting people's salary in UK/US/CA to naira, thinking the naira equivalent of those figures have the same impact in those countries. It is unfortunate that some people have such mentality.
That being said, if you manage to have some savings in places like US and you bring such to Nigeria, you could tie up a project. Very detailed. |

amnotapervert: Wait what are you even saying — are you saying the POF (six months’ account statement) is now the additional document you mentioned?
Before you even reach the stage for CAN+, you would have already submitted your visitor visa application. The Visa Application Centres (VACs) will automatically screen all applications for CAN+ eligibility, so there’s no special place or separate form for that.
So, I’ll say it again:
At every point — even if you hold a current or previous Canadian or U.S. visa — you are still required to provide six months of bank statements. There’s no stage in the visitor visa application process where you won’t need to submit six months of bank statements (personal or business account, etc.). Even if you currently hold a valid U.S. visa, that does not exempt you from providing your bank statements.
https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=877&top=16 Oga... You are very wrong. @Ashirioluwa is very correct If you have a valid USA/Canada visa, you automatically qualified for Can+ which bank statement will be exempted. |

Also going by your logic, no one should be punished for any crime since the police should have stopped the crime from being committed in the first place.
Can the police be every where at all times to prevent all and any crimes from being committed.
Do you know any country in the world where that happens. Most of them will just Sit somewhere and be typing gibberish. Don't mind them, building under the power line, where is thier senses |

Just this year there has been countless plane crashes in the US, also recently a Syrian based in the UK went on a stabbing spree and so many others which we both know and have read in the news happening in developed countries. Ademidd: Hello gurus in the house, please I need your advice. I am in the process of applying for a TRV to visit my husband, who will be fully sponsoring my trip. However, I’m currently unable to access my personal bank statement due to a temporary issue with my bank app, which is been worked on. As such, I won’t be including my personal bank statement in the application. I intend to demonstrate my ties to Nigeria through a permanent job (I’ll be submitting my employment letter and recent pay slips, a letter of approval for leave extension which has been approved with the date of my resumption back to work clearly written in it. My immediate family also resides here and I have a landed property in my name, I would include the documents and a picture of the land too. My question is: Could the absence of my personal bank statement pose a problem for my TRV application, given that my husband is fully sponsoring the trip and will provide all required documents as the sponsor? Yes it will But bank app shouldn't be a problem nah. Visit your bank and print your statement nah, what's difficult in that. Fully sponsoring a full grown adult on visiting visa doesn't work |
