There is absolutely no reason why the dollar should fall in the manner we have seen since Tinubu took over in the first place. Everything we see happening right now is caused by the cluelessness of one man.

Tinubu met the dollar at ₦700-₦800. He floated the Naira, claiming that the government could no longer subsidize the dollar. He also "removed" subsidy, and we all saw the consequences within a very short time (in few days).

What's happening right now is that Tinubu has realised his mistakes and is now doing everything within his powers to take us back to the Buhari era.

Firstly, the dollar is now being sold to FX vendors at a subsidised rate.

Secondly, petrol is still being subsidised with almost double the amount the Buhari government paid as subsidy.

It wouldn't be bad for Tinubu to come out and apologise for the grave mistakes he caused Nigerians. The entire BDC and Binance charade we saw would have still had the same "effect" without "removing" subsidy.

If we look at it critically, the so-called monies he claimed he saved from "subsidy removal" have been completely wiped out by inflation. Some reports say that states like Delta got about a 25% increase in allocation in 2024 compared to 2023. How does that help anyone when people now pay as much as 300% of what they paid in 2023 to get a tin of Three Crown milk? To add to the injury, salaries have remained stagnant for government workers.

If exchange rate ever gets to 1k or under 1k, his next move will be to pay more subsidy on fuel, so Nigerians can go back to the old subsidized price. LOL.

Tinubu's mistake is completely unpardonable anywhere in the world.

@bolded....

Jus lemme laugh to it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜„

Whoever that hoarded USD should better release it on time, that's just my advice.

I think it is usually the cost of processing. They know that if they do it themselves, they'll pay as much as 7-8m, with a larger part of it dedicated to the POF. On the other hand, the agent tells them to bring just 500k-1m and they'll do it. Of course, what the agent doesn't tell them is that he/she will use fake documents and that the likelihood of getting a misrepresentation ban is very high. In of all of this, the point these people are missing is that they can actually source funds themselves and figure out their application themselves.

Heaven knows I'm been honest here. I can forward my chats on how I suggested he tracked his application and how I gave him the same tracking links, and how he said he doesn't have access to the mail the agent used..... but was able to check it and I can equally forward is rejection stuff. I have no interest in giving false narrative to mislead anyone at all. And when people say they aren't able to check there's because they can't access their portal gives me concern because he was able to to God who made me. Why not just start from the beginning and let just see, make use of a new Gmail and follow the steps, it might works....

You have done well my brother!

We learn everyday, the person email might be used either way without him knowing lol πŸ˜†.

I still find it hard to believe if that will work out.

Nothing bitter, i just exposed the facts.
But i am by no means surprised that some posters here who are africans find this perfectly acceptable. I live in Europe and here, such a behaviour from authorities is unacceptable. Unfortunately there in Africa most countries are led by corrupt/incompetent governments and also unfortunately this has been going for centuries and the ordinary people think that is normal, when it is not normal at all, they become used to it...
When i wrote what i wrote here, what the retarded DHA SA does on a forum from my country, everybody could not believe it...they were shocked and said they have never encountered that with any visa for any country. For you here it seems it is completely normal. Well...
In Europe, if a government employee would write to an applicant what that mrs Travern wrote to me, he/she would have been fired the next day when the text reached media...Here i am accused of unprofessionalism because i exposed her...

And i am, by no means, the only one who got an absurd rejection.
A friend of mine got a rejection for eVisa on the reason that "passport would expire before the applicant leaves SA". And her passport has 9+ more years until expiration date, it was almost new... So it seems they are either retarded or very bad intentioned, i can't see other explanation.

shocked grin

Bros, Patience is key and clear understanding. First, I reiterate again, no visa officer is under the mandate to grant visa to an applicant. If your visa was approved, we prolly will not be hearing this. Re apply , I advise. I had similar thing in the past. I take disappointment and re inforce for another re application. I do not understand why you are so furious over a visa refusal. It is important you learn to handle rejections Sir.
Again, You have US, Aus , this visa and that, is not an automatic assurance.
Many had schengen,Uk , Canada visas, been to so many countries, and their visas still get rejected. You need to understand the process, so you can handle rejections. It is not always an automatic thing!
You try and you keep trying.

Last ,
Very unprofessional and unethical - Feedback was from the other person not mine. I can not comment over a screenshot, i was not part of the conversation.

Have a great day.

@hunee. What's the process, stop supporting what's not right
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by oluayebenz: 12:41pm On Mar 02
antobogdan:
@hunee :Sorry, i do not agree with anything you said!!
1. Very unprofessional and unethical is only what that DHA employee wrote to me.
2. No, a normal/civilized/developed country has a clear procedure to grant/reject visas and follows it to the letter. Especially when they take your money in the form of the fee. They don;t just reject/approve them on an arbitrary basis like South Africa does.

So, please, do not come with things like this, i am not at the first visa application. I obtained the United States Visa just in a couple of minutes(they didn;t even asked for any bank statement, and it is for 10 years!!). I obtained an Australia Evisa in a matter of days. But these are developed states not failed states like SA!!!

3. Reapply on their absurd evisa system? Only if i have no respect for myself and my money for the fee...

I don;t get how someone could support what DHA does. But again, i don't know what country are your form, maybe this is the way of thinking there in Africa, that a country has its right to treat visa applicants like trash...maybe that's why the continent still stays in misery and undevelopment....
And yes, i will publish that print screen everywhere, in fact it is already on its way to many travel sites/media etc. So everybody knows that they treat applicants like shit, and to not waste their money and time with that catastrophe evisa system.
Thank you!

And not, i am not mad anymore on the stupid DHA, especially as i have already obtained my tax fee back with a chargeback procedure.
I am only writing this so it is one more case that proves their absurdity.

No doubt

South African embassy na rubbish.
Their visa officers are all sadist!

Applicants need to stay away from them

It is plain weird. Do you even pause and think, or is this a case of being blinded by the thrill of short-term gains? You converted your money into dollars, so why don't you give it a rest? Yet you have to come here, to a thread meant for Treasury bills, to promote dollar buying. I think subconsciously, or maybe consciously, it is more about monkey hunting than real concerns towards the other readers.

The continuous wailing gets very tiring. "It will go to 1500, it will go to 2000, it will go to 3000," what the heck is wrong with you people? Let me explain what you don't seem to understand.

Yes, the naira has devalued for a long time, but not at this rate. Look around you and see the effects - people are being stretched thin. If it continues like this, your money will mean nothing. When 20% of the population is pushed to criminal activities, your dollar-denominated assets that are now doing 500% returns will mean nothing. But shortsightedness will not allow you to see what is coming.

The rate at which the naira is falling is not good, especially for a country that is import-dependent. The chaos that will ensue will render your profits useless. You keep encouraging everyone who has spare naira to change their money at the expense of everyone - your eyes will clear eventually.

Those ones are foo.lish people.

They full this particular thread.

Most of them were already hoarding the dollar, they will all learn the hard way.

Only a foolish person will buy dollar when it's over 1500 and keep. Their speculation won't work again.

They will be showing one after the other predicting rubb.ish πŸ˜€ jus wait and see

Dude literally almost killed a woman some months ago by firing a gun in a club. Yaps against everyone and their father (including his fans) on social media. A couple of instances of canceling shows or concerts without any apology, and in some instances even railing against fans that complained. The guy is just a menace! But trust our suffering and smiling Nigerian compatriots to carry their money and put in his pocket, to pay exorbitant fees for his concert. Sadly, we reward bad behaviour.

That's true about the gun violence in a club, not even a single apology. Nawa o
