I booked my flight one way flight separately through wakanow TAAG airline. My wife booked with our children the next day, a one way flight, the wakanow agent sent a message that she is supposed to book a round trip for herself and the three children since it's visitor visa. But my agent did not tell me that

I would appreciate your guidance on an issue regarding my recently approved Canadian visa. I applied for the visa in February and received approval in April, along with a request to submit my passport. However, I was informed that the validity of the visa would be tied to the expiration of my previously submitted biometrics, which is set to expire in September 2025.

Unfortunately, I was unaware that visa validity is linked to biometric expiry. I had assumed it was based solely on the passport’s validity. When I submitted my application, I received a notification stating that my biometrics were still valid, so I did not attend a new appointment—even though I had already paid the biometric fee.

Upon realizing this in April, I wrote to IRCC on April 4 to explain the situation and to request a new biometric instruction letter so that I could complete a fresh biometric submission and potentially extend my visa’s duration. As of today, May 1, I have not received a response.

Could you kindly advise if this delay is normal, and what next steps I can take to ensure my request is addressed?

There's nothing you can do for now than to submit your passport for visa which will be valid till sep 2025.

If you need a longer visa validity, you have to put in a new application and enroll for a new biometric.

Pls I need advice on what to do, my family VV was denied yesterday morning.
Biometric date was Feb 10th for a church conference coming up May15.
Reason stated was
I am not satisfied you have a legitimate business purpose in Canada. It's also the same on my wife's profile. And my son's who is under 3 reason was different.
His reason stated that I am not satisfied you will leave at the end of your stay. Also the purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
Does this mean the conference isn't legitimate or what because a friend of mine also received the same reason as mine and my wife and other of my friend reason is same as my son.
Pls what can we do in this situation. Your candid advice will go along way for me and my friends on what next to do. Thanks

I bought a toyota camry 2011 model in September 2024. I Serviced the engine after purchase with mobil oil in December because rarely drive it. Few days after service, I travelled with it to Iseyin from Lagos, on my way back to Lagos on the third day, I got to 7up around Alausa, the car just stopped. I checked I couldn't find any fault, I thought it is a electrical , after a while I tried restart it and it actually start and I drove to Ikeja and it stopped again. I therefore looked for an electrical technician who helped check, on a second thought, I decided to check the engine oil and to my surprise, the oil had dried, then I allowed the engine to cool before refill with a new engine oil. thereafter the engine started making loud noise anytime I tried to put on ignition.
My mechanic explained that some parts in the engine has been affected and I've to replaced it, which I did though by another mechanic.
But since then I've been having one issues or the other. The AC is no longer cooling until you accelerate, some parts in the alternator was burnt. And, besides the noise has not stopped.
Kindly assist.

I did my biometric May 6th last year, so I got an email frm ircc to check my portal on October , immediately I call my agent, so he sent me the page, which state that ircc give me another opportunity to check my application because they are not sure I have enough fund, so before the time frame ircc gv me my agent provide another document. A month after which is November I got another email from ircc that they have successful got the document, that they will send messages to my mail if there is any change in my portal.since November have not got any text from them again , so I'm so concerned I call my agent to keep checking my portal. Seems like your agent don messed up your application.

I would like to share details of a recent visa denial with you, with the hope that I can get some guidance. I am a canadian PR working in the US, while my fiancee who applied and got denied a canada vistor's visa is based in Nigeria. She has a sister who is a canadian citizen, who invited her. She has applied for a visitors visa twice and got denied on both occasion. The first was last year when she requested to come spend time with her sister, she was denied stating she did not have enough economic and financial ties in Nigeria. ps-she provided her 6 months pay slip, letter from employer stating she is going on leave, and bank statements then.

For the recent denial, she was already engaged to me, but we thought it was better the sister still invites her, as they have legal association. We only plan to have our wedding in Canada, during this visit, before she finally moves to the US. To support the application this time around, we provided purchased return tickets, letter of leave from employer, pension statements, tax returns, shares documents, proof of address in Nigeria, letter of introduction from church, family photos, past travel documents, and invitation letter from her sister, as well as her sister's bank statements. However, the visa was still denied. I have now requested GCMS notes and I plan to reapply myself stating that she wants to come for our wedding which is scheduled for July. I wanted to know what we are doing wrong and what steps could be taken to ensure that we meet the July date for her to be in Canada.

Unfortunately if it's visit visa you applied for, IRCC no send, it will go through the normal processing time and those letter won't help either.

I reached out to a friend regarding the issue and during the convo, a thought came into my head, to send her a document that shows I'm being asked to leave Canada and I need the money to book flight etc... This is supposed to be the last line of action before I involve the parents tomorrow and so on.
