All the Nigerian bank will do the upgrade and customers will experience same with the other banks soon.
They are just doing the upgrade one after the other.
Once GTB is done with their upgrade, seems like Access bank is next, and that Access will be calamity, they too get customer base.
I trust GTB with their upgrade, surely they will stand out among others.
People should bear with them.

MarksmanD: My SOP was 33 pages long. My essay alone in my SOP was 8 pages long. I was told to reduce it, but I didn't. There's not a specific rule book to this. And you think VO will take their time reading 33 pages SOP? SOP is not even a requirement, many students applied without it and still get their visas. You already qualified for study permit, reason why you got it, forget SOP. Meanwhile SOP is still very important o but not a requirement |

funkyy598: Just like my lawyer friend said [b]It's easy to stay in Africa and interpret the canadian law as a visa applicant via google engine, like you are doing, because I'm 100% sure you're not even in Canada. But my advice to students coming to Canada, especially Nigerians, is to also consider Express Entry. If you plan to come to Canada via the student route, make sure you have your tuition fees and living expenses fully covered. The 20-hour work limit, which is now extremely difficult to secure, cannot cover your tuition fees and rent. Dropping out of school and claiming health issues or homosexuality/domestic violence is an outdated strategy that no longer works. Anyone can sit in their room in Africa and quote the law, but the reality sets in when you land in Canada. Many students are stressed, tired, and frustrated. I wish everyone the wisdom to plan accordingly.thank u Point... Honestly IRCC site is sweet and straightforward when reading through but in reality, na 💯 opposite. |

Jeboy: Wow such a touching story.
The mistake you did was to go for Asylum which is not your best bet. Even if you have the best lawyer, when facts are not convincing the Asylum case will be lost.
For others here, when you find yourself unable to pay school fees due to illness or fund (mind you if you are using fund you must explain what happened to your PoF because it was based on that you were given study permit), what you need to do is to apply for Open Work permit under distressed student. It is a provision by IRCC for International students with genuine reasons for not been able to continue there program maybe due to death of their sponsor or illness or some drastic events that can actually stall your study progression. You may be lucky to get two years Open Work Permit and its enough for you to forge your future in Canada. Asylum should not be your 1st option. A lot of people dont know about this option and I hope people will not start abusing it either, cos our people can abuse privileges.
I know the failed asylum records makes it a bad case especially among the 5 eyes countries that collaborates with Canada to share info yet I will advise this fellow to approach the service of an experienced Canadian Lawyer who can examine your situation and advise accordingly. Sorry for your experience.

Nigeria has no industry or infrastructure in place to boast of and nothing to show for it being a nation as large as it is. The source of the money being used to shore up that money will eventually run out. What then? Just wait and see Remember no more importation of fuel, diesel and kerosene. Kobojunkie: I have only given you a idea based on the much i was able to track via news reports. I didn't say the government has not or is not now shoring up the Naira as we speak.
The point is this strategy is not working for Nigeria and Nigerians since the problem remains unresolved when after so much money thrown at it, money that could have been better used elsewhere. Well you are right.... All the money used to defend the naira is vanishing but there is no way a country like Nigeria will leave it currency on a free flow, even many of the develop nation still defend their currency one way or the other. walenden: I understand what you're saying, but I don’t fully agree with the statement that "our future is already more secure than those who didn’t take risks because they were scared". As a businessman myself While some risks are worth taking, it's important to recognize that not all struggles lead to a better future. We shouldn’t romanticize hardship or struggle just because we took a big leap. Many people make sacrifices, and sometimes, despite their best efforts, things don’t turn out as planned. Supporting each other emotionally is crucial, no doubt, but we also need to be realistic. The stress my brother is facing in Canada isn’t just a passing phase—it reflects a system that doesn’t always favour immigrants, especially students. He left home hoping for something better, but the reality on the ground is far from easy. We need to keep pushing, but also critically evaluate how we can make things better for ourselves instead of waiting for things to improve on their own, The risk we took is already done; now we need strategy, support, and real opportunities to move forward, not just hope. student struggling in Canada are not fighting any demon; the issue at hand is about finances, not something Spiritual! Leave that one make he dey console himself |

Business › Re: Currencies Weaker Than The Naira by oluayebenz: 4:49pm On Oct 02, 2024 |
nairalanda1: Simple. All those countries produce far more oil than Nigeria, for populations that are less than Nigeria. (KUwait has 6 million people, Oman has about less than 20 million, Saudi has 40 million, and produces ten times what we produce in oil, Qatar has one million and produces nearly 1.2 m barrles per day)
So, per capita, they got more dollars to spend on buffering their currencies, than NIgeria, where, even assuming that our leaders were nice and good people that did not do looting, has limited amount of money.
As 'strong' as their economies are, most nations would prefer to do business in dollars, pounds, euros, and even chinese currency, and yen....because the countries that have those currencies are simply industrial exporters. Heck, I think that even swiss currency better pass Saudi.
And it cost those countries a lot of money to maintain strong currencies...when oil prices fell in 2014, Saudi spent over 100 billion dollars in ten months just to keep the riyal strong. (That led to some changes, including the government eventually setting up a soverign wealth fund).
Nigeria's problem is that we can't do as they do, because we have a large population to spend on. Yaradua was one of the most stingy presidents in NIgerian history, yet at the end he was able to save at least 60 billion dollars in our reserve. Too many people means that a lot of our oil revenue has to be spent meeting needs NOW.....and what we can save , even with prudence, is too little
Ultimately, we have to use our resources to manufacture stuff for export. That is the way. If oil becomes obsolete tomorrow, all those countries will fall. You too good abeg.... your analysis is top notch. Population is one of the major factor of the problem in Nigeria, we are not producing enough and also not productive |

Let us go for $30 per hr. . For three weeks, that student would work 504 × 30, which is $15,120.
