The reason is that when the visa officer call the hotel line on his hotel reservation. The hotel attendance replied that his (applicant) reservation was earlier cancel due to insufficient fund on his debit card.

Can he reapply to regularizes this issue

He was treated badly and still wants to visit again? 🤐

Hotel can cancel reservation anytime, best thing is to check if he truly have enough funds for his stay, they instead denied him entry...

A travel agent promised to get me a visitor visa to enter Canada and get me a open work permit within two weeks after entering Canada. He said jobs and accommodation are already on ground for me and I will start working immediately I get there. He is advertising this on radio and a lot of people are already applying. I have paid 50% of the total amount required to be before leaving Nigeria.

Please, how true are his promises? I mean is it possible to use a visitor visa to work in Canada? Is it also possible to get an open work permit in Canada within two weeks?

I came to Canada as an international student in December 2023. My study permit was approved with my 10-month-old baby, but I travelled alone because I wasn’t sure how to balance school and settling in with her. I planned that once I was stable, my husband would apply for a spousal open work permit (SOWP) and come with our daughter.

We tried three times, but all were refused:
• 1st application: April 2024 → Refused.
• 2nd application: January 2025 → Refused.
• 3rd application: around May 2025 → Refused.

Reasons:
• First refusal: not enough proof of funds 😳 (we actually had more than what was required).
• Second refusal: they said I didn’t show sufficient proof of funds as a student 😳😳 (which isn’t even a known requirement).
• By the third application, we had more than double the required amount for one person’s travel and explained it properly, but it was still denied.

Now I have graduated, and my convocation is in December. By then it will be two years since I moved. I currently hold implied status while waiting for my PGWP decision.

This time, we are applying for a VISITOR VISA so that my husband and daughter can attend my convocation, spend about a month with me, and then return home. We are also hoping for a multiple-entry visa, so that my husband won’t need to reapply if he wants to visit again. The purpose is not to remain in Canada permanently, only to attend my graduation and spend family time.

FOR CONTEXT, we plan to reply by the 3rd week of September. Currently, we have about 22M fixed in the bank, around 5 million in my husband’s transactional account, and I will be showing about 8–9k on my side.

Please, what can we do differently this time to make the application stronger? Any advice from those with recent approvals will really help.

The exchange rate by itself is not the main issue. The main problem is that we are paying too much for political office holders who don’t add as much value to the system as civil servants do.

Do you know of any developed country where they pay politicians more than civil servants, including teachers and healthcare professionals? Why would we japa there if they don’t pay ordinary workers well enough compared to politicians?

Greetings house. Am in a very difficult situation that I don't know what to do.

I applied for a students study permit(Canada) through an agency who issued a backdated bank statement from a commercial bank.
I have gone for my biometrics since early July 2025.
I have been waiting for response from the embassy only for me to have a feedback that the account statement i submitted was fraudulent which will attract 5 years ban,hence I was given 7 days to make an explanation to it which will elapse on Wednesday being 27th.

They stated clearly that if I keep mute,a free the 7 days , they will take a decision based on the documents I submitted.

Please, what do I do at this point? I am devastated at this point.

There's absolutely nothing you can do to change this decision since you are aware of the fake documents, I'm sure not only the bank statement the agent faked.
Just enjoy your 5yrs ban.

These countries reward hard work and is worthy of patriotism from their citizens. Minimum wage in Nigeria should be at least 500,000k especially in the present economic conditions.

As a family, you cannot survive in those countries with those minimum you see up there.

She completed the application herself online, and submitted her passport at VFS office after approval. So the visa is definitely not fake. Also she has logged on to the IRCC portal after been denied boarding and there no message from them regarding any issue with her visa

Please could you shed more light on this issue, when am filling the canada tourist visa , i came  across a question that stated ''do you have job in recent country you live'' i cannot say no or yes neither own a business. I've prepared all necessary documents for the application, i got stuck when I was filling the form in the stage ''Do you have a job in the country where you currently live? please what can i do to scale through this.

Because I doubt any visa officer will believe your approach of sponsoring your fiancée not your wife to another country, especially when you haven’t even invited her to the UK where you actually reside.
This whole arrangement is built on shallow ground, and it will not stand.
All those photos and chat histories you're gathering should be directed to the UK authorities when you apply for a UK visa for her not used to convince Canada. You're skipping steps, and it won’t hold up under scrutiny.
