Hi, Mr spyder, actually i have 4m and wish to build a 3bedroom flat 1 master bedroom and two other rooms shares toilet and bath in ikorodu and pack in ,in 6 to 8 months time .
Sir can this money be enough .
Can you also act as a consultant for me on the project.
I believe 4m should give you something on a moderate side, i do advice you to start as soon as you can,as price of materials goes up often.

I am not sure if they have the way of doing it in Nigeria, but there are surely some material that you could lay underneath the bricks that will prevent the weed from growing through . . .Also, once you have it, you could buy some chemical to control the weed and in a nation like Nigeria where house-helps are like 10 people for 10K you will be able to easily get someone dedicated to take care of the weed.

i think the interlock will make that house look cute.
very correct.

@ chaircover you can have concrete that looks interlocked , I have seen this done, where they pour the concrete then a metal plate with polygon design pressed on to make the shapes.
@spyder actually my last 2 comment was a question, I wanted to know from your experience if I could use 4million naira to build the down part of the story building (2flats downstairs) viz a viz decking the down part completely. After decking I will then concentrate on the first flat so I could move in to complete the next flat which will be rented eventually, then after recovering from this in furture, I will then start the upper part.

So my question is with a budget of 4million how far can I go ? Can I deck ? ( I already have the land )
Your usual advice will be treasured,
If you do it spyder's way you go buy wood for roof self.

My experience with local fabricated doors.
i installed one in 2006, by 2011, the painting have started to fade.
And i have noticed some rust coming up. i think the china doors are much better even though they are the same price or a little bit more in cost.
The local fabricated doors maybe durable , but the finishing is poor.
Is it that the local makers does not use rust free paint or could it be the paints are inferior.
