Someone who applied in August has not heard back from appointment and this is January.... they claim they still working on backlog for several months before August .....

so be prepared for a long waiting game , except of they resume their same day passport (extra charge) which was suspended due to covid

If you are still in Nigeria, renew your passport there no matter how much it costs you, and get a 10 year one too.

DO NOT, repeat NOT come to the UK with a passport close to expiry with the hope of fellowshipping in Northumberland Avenue.

I meant that was not my experience; I went about 3 months before my appointment and I was in and out under 2 hours. I paid $106 then, paid $110 for my LO in Dec.

So when did you get it, same day? And you just followed the instructions on the NigeriaHC website ba?

According to most people's post on NL, renewing in the UK can be stressful and time consuming even though that's my experience when renewing.
At the moment, getting appointments is uncertain though. Trying to renew my LO's Naija passport but haven't gotten an appointment for biometrics yet; they said that they would contact us with an appointment date when we applied last December.

Kai, na wa oh, please how much does it cost? And the biodata is only done in London ba? I am having serious concern about all these news oh.

Without mincing words, getting first-hand information online for this has been very daunting. I will be grateful if anyone could provide his/her Passport renewing experience. I know that there is an ongoing restriction all over the UK, but I want to make plans for next month and I hope that I can renew the passport 6 months before it expires without stress. I would say 2 years only because the full impact of covid on the job market is not fully known. 2 years gives it enough time to stabilise and recover

Got mail from pretoria on the 16th that decision has been made,but app has not changed from still with DMC.
Did mine at ikj on the 7th. But i plan on going there today, as someone who got same mail with me got theirs...although she got a mail to come pick it up, and it was priority.

Thanks for your response. This friend's own wasn't a priority visa.

What is going on in VI na? I got this same message around the same time with a friend who did his biometric in Ikeja. Till now, my app is still showing AT DMC. A friend of mine said that he also experienced the same thing last year and that he had to go to VI without a collection email and then he discovered that his visa was ready. Do we have anyone currently in the same shoe?

When should I be expecting the collection mail? cos My application is still at the DMC stage

Even mine oh, the guy we got the decision email together has received an email for him to come pick up his documents at TLS Ikeja. Where you take do your own? Mine was at VI.

The error was on my Course end date oh. Instead of 30 Sept 2021 I inputed 30 Sept 2020. I don't know how it happened. I inputed the correct data for IHS and I went through the app but I did not noticed it.

My friend also told me some schools are rescinding funding for undeciding students, and I am only glad I accepted mine on time

What is the name of your own school? MS or PhD - I think this COVID-19 thing was the reason why schools may be sending I-20 via email. An also, If there are some who has not made up their mind concerning multiple offers, please do so. Some schools are revoking funding for undeciding students oh.
