According to Ukrainian media reports, as of 06:15 local time on Monday (03:15 GMT), air raid warnings were in effect in the Zhitomir, Vinnitsa, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Nikolaev and Odessa regions.

Explosions were reported in various parts of Ukraine late on Sunday night, including the cities of Nikolaev and Odessa. In Nikolaev, a fire erupted at a fuel storage site after the blasts, according to Ukrainian media reports.
If Russia continue to attack Ukraine at this rate for the next 2-3 months. Ukrainians will protest against their government. Which will likely bring an end to the war.

Russian forces have struggled to counter Ukraine's use of US-made HIMARS rockets.

Some Russians have an explanation: HIMARS has a secret feature that makes it harder to target them.

In September, Russian defense blog Avia wrote about why Russian artillery has been not able to knock out Ukraine's M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, which fire GPS-guided rockets that have savaged vital Russian targets such as ammunition dumps, command posts, and bridges.

In theory, Russia's huge arsenal of howitzers and multiple-launch rocket systems should be able to destroy HIMARS by using counter-battery radar to track the trajectory of the rockets it fires back to their launch point. Ah, but those clever Americans have a trick, according to Avia's unsigned blog post: They designed HIMARS so its rockets would change trajectory and fool counter-battery radars.
Rocket launchers in general are hard to destroy. They are mobile systems. It takes less than 5minutes to launch all the missiles loaded onto them and they don't stay after executing their task. They leave the position immediately to avoid detection. Russia managed to destroy few. They are not defense systems, they can't protect themselves.

I think the Tor defense systems has shown it ability to shot down missiles fired from HIMARS. They should supply their troops with more Tor defense systems and increase their search for the launchers themselves, so that they can be destroyed.

But most of the weapon given to Ukraine is for defense not offense. Why not give them fighter jet, long range launcher, helicopter fighter jet. The new stuff. And let Russia thank US if not for them in ww11 we will not be talking about Russia now.
Did US place sanction when they entered Afghanistan, Iraq or was it NATO that fought the war
Of course, the US placed sanctions on both Iraq and Afghanistan. They even seize Afghanistan foreign reserve in the US.

If Russia wins this war, it allies will increase drastically. The likes of Saudi Arabia & other countries in the middle East except Israel will move to it camp immediately. More African & East Asian countries will do the same.

The war is beyond Ukraine. A lots of things are at stake. Russia can not afford to loose. Likewise the US. The Ukrainians will determine the winner. If they get tired, Russia wins. But if Ukraine decides to fight till the last man, which I doubt. It will likely lead to a world war.

The way US fight war and DAT of Russia is different, US go after combat fighters and weapon but Russia go after every thing like the territories
Nope!

The US normally impose economic sanctions to cripple the enemy's ability to fund the war. Then impose arm's embargo to stop the enemy from rearming. After the war has been won by sanctions, then they send in their soldiers. They won't even allow any country to arm the enemy before the war.

If Russia has such power. The Ukraine war would have been won without the invasion.

Yo guys in an event of nuclear are we safe in Nigeria?
The war will not lead to a nuclear war. Either of the parties involved will get tired and call for negotiation, provided NATO don't make mistake. Because Russia is fighting Ukraine, and not a NATO member. If they don't overstep their boundaries. Russia will not attack first. It won't lead to a nuclear war.

Russia has not attacked NATO and she is not going to. The idea that Russia wants to recreate Soviet Union is nonsense. NATO military strength is far stronger than Russian. They have more air power, ground troops, naval power e.t.c than Russia. They are even richer. We are talking about more than 20+ countries for God sake. Russia may(50-50) be able to defend itself against NATO but don't have the capacity to go on offensive against them.

NB: This is just my opinion. Anything can happen. War is like football. Small team sometimes beat big team.

And I don't think this is likely within the foreseeable future. My fear is that if there is more shelling beyond Belgorod, Putin must be forced to do something funny.
There is no other way to stop the attack. Even if Russia decide to destroy the entire infrastructures in the capital-Kiev, the Ukrainian troops in Kharkiv won't stop shelling Belgorod. Kharkiv can not be carpet bombed. It is a very largest city (population).

Russia has no other choice than to put men on the ground to do the job. The civilians in Belgorod will have to hold on till their government is able to put forces together to push Ukrainians out or hope that Russian air force is able to track down some of this Missile batteries and destroy them, which will be difficult.

Ok. But if there are more explosions beyond Belgorod further into Russia, then it would be certain and evident that there is a plan behind the scene.
Belgorod is now well within the HIMARS range. To stop Ukraine from shelling the city. Russian troops need to destroy/push Ukrainians troops in some part Kharkiv out. That is the only solution.

The Russians are orthodox Christians. There is a serious ties between the church and the government. So there is no room for LGBTQ in the country. There are no report about Russia fleeing the country before the war. It only started after the war broke out.

The Western media made us feel like Putin is the only one who make decisions. This is absolutely impossible. Russia is not a democratic state. It is socialist state, the government control almost everything.

There are pro-West in Russia. The Alex Navanni group. They believe in the limitless freedom the Westerners enjoy. They are clamouring for human rights (especially homosexuality) which the government can not give them. Russia is against LGBTQ. So most of them are leaving base on human right issues.

When Russia announce partial mobilisation, most of the pro-West fled the country immediately.

The EU/NATO are aware of the blunder they committed. But there is no going back, because they have committed themselves heavily already. They are at a point of no return.

They now realise that the cheap Russian gas and oil they are the bedrocks of their strong economy. Germany used to be the gas hub for Russian gas. Yesterday Turkey and Russia signed an agreement to build gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey. Thereby turning Turkey into a new gas hub. Now, you will see how Turkey will be transformed in years to come. Watch out for Turkey.

I am waiting.
I have mentioned everything that needed to be mentioned. I said wages in the West is greater than in Russia. But at the same time. The cost of living in Russia is far lesser than in the West. The cost of transportation, food, electricity, internet, fuel, education, health care e.t.c are extremely cheap in Russia. Things are not the same in the West. Russians pay extremely lower tax compare to extremely high tax they pay in the West. So in my opinion the standard of living in Russia is not significantly different from the West.

If you are paying less for education and you are getting good education and also pay less for health care and you are getting good health care. You pay less for gas, fuel, electricity, transportation, internet e.t.c. What else can you ask for.

Western media only talk about human right issues in Russia. They also talk about Putin and the Oligarchs. I have never seen anywhere in the Western media where they say Russians are suffering. Please prove me wrong.

The arctic is a future economic zone. Russia naturally controls about 50 of the entire artic region using the EEZ measures. There are trillions of dollar natural resource lying under the ice. Now the ice is disappearing gradually. When the ice finally disappear, a new sea route will be opened which will be under Russian control. Sometime similar to the SUEZ canal will be created (toll gate). Countries in Europe and in East Asia (China, Japan, South Korea) will abandon the SUEZ canal route for the new route, mainly because it is a short cut to the rest of the world.

Russia will be able to extract more resources. The cities in the region will be developed. The port will be expanded, Probably become one of the biggest in the world. It will create more employment opportunities for Russians and immigrants. More Russians will move to the artic to live and work.

When the US was busy fighting war all over the world and building military that is getting less and less effective as time goes by. The Russians and the Chinese are busy taken steps that will make them more powerful in the future.

There are two types of people in Russia. There are pro-West & pro-russia/nationalists. Those that believe in limitless freedom (homosexuality e.t.c) are leaving the country even before the war. Now more pro-West started leaving when the partial mobilisation started. These people don't believe in war. They believe all countries have their right to do whatever they want. Which is true. But the world is not fair. Big countries like US, China e.t.c can dictate to other countries irrespective of the right the small countries feel they have. That is the reality.

After the heavy bombardment of these cities by Russian Forces, I don't think these figures are current.
I strongly believe that Russia will win this war.

Lugansk ( the two major cities Lisichanks & Severdontsk) is still in Russia hand.

Russian forces are advancing in Donestsk (Bakhmut-key supply line for Ukrainian troops in the east). The Ukrainian troops that took Kharkiv and that were putting pressure on the Russian troops in Donestsk and Lugansk are now stalled. In fact, Russia has started it counter offensive in Lyman and has regained some village in Lyman. The Chenchen are doing a good job there. Russia sent re-enforcement to Kharkiv before the partial mobilisation. They reorganize and have started pushing the Ukrainians back. Ukrainian successful counter offensive in Kharkiv came at a price. They lost a lots of soldiers.

In Kherson, the Ukrainians are advancing but are yet to make any significant gain and they are taken a lots of casualties. This is due the terrain in the south. It is an open terrain (agricultural land). Russian Artilleries and air power are inflicting unimaginable losses on the Ukrainian troops. There will be a significant shift when the Reservists started pouring in by December and January next year.

For Russia to win this war. Kiev and Lviv must be constantly shelled. This will force the ordinary Ukrainians living in those regions to put pressure on Zelensky to negotiate and also make the Ukrainian military think twice before carrying out major attack on Russian soil. This is the reason Russia acquired Iranian drones. They are cheap and easy to built.

Russian forces didn't start the Georgian war well. They are slow learners. But after learning, they become masters.

I'm wondering what the end holds, in Feb the rouble was 137 to the dollar, today it's at 62 to the dollar..looks like the Russian rouble has been strengthened by the war.Which is a sign Their economy is not doing badly.
The US is making the greatest mistake with their anti-Russia and anti-China policies. More and more countries are dumping the dollar for their local currency. It is clear that the US is not a reliable partner. Seizing (stealing) Russian foreign reserve was a great mistake. Now countries are scrambling for de-dollarisation of their economy.

I pray they make another stupid mistake by sanctioning Saudi Arabia and force the kingdom to drop the petrol-dollar.

The US main rival, China is building modern infrastructures for it citizens. They are investing heavily on rail system and aviation. They have the longest network of high speed train in the world. They are close to covering the entire country with rail network. The Chinese manage to have a technological break through in rail technology. They are now no 1 in the wirld.

The newly built Daxing airport in Beijing is a technological masterpiece. It is now the biggest airport in the world. It took them just 5 years. The speed at which the build is amazing.

The US is not interested in building any modern infrastructures. The existing infrastructures are now decaying. The government is interested in fighting wars thousands of miles away from the US territory and spending billions to counter Russia and China. This is a disaster in waiting for the US.

Sakha Republic, Daegastan Republic, Chechnya e.t.c

Russia is divided into three, the European part, Siberian part and the artic part The republic mentioned above are located on the Siberian part.

Sakha Republic has a population of estimated 3million people. The capital-Yakutsk is the coldest place in the world. They also enjoy basis amenities. Although it is not as developed as the European part of Russia. But it is still a beautiful place. Imagine 3 million people living in the coldest place in the world. They remain there because they are comfortable.

Chechnya Republic is a Muslim dominated oblast. The capital is Gronzy. Gronzy is the most beautiful capital, when compare with other republic. It has a population of about 1.5 million. They also enjoy basis amenities. Although there are villages in Chechnya which is the same with every other countries in the world. There are no Western companies or firms in Chechnya. They only allow indigenous companies and firms to operate in the republic. No foreign eateries except Russian ones. They don't eat imported food or wear imported clothes.

Dagestan is also a beautiful place. The population is about 3 million people. The capital is Makhachkala. Makhachkala is an important economic, educational, scientific, and cultural centre of the North Caucasus. The city is a major Russian seaport on the Caspian Sea, and a transport hub. It is one of the fastest-growing cities in Russia, and is currently going through a construction boom.

St Petersburg is a wonderful place. They called the Venice of Russia. Tourists visit the city more than any other in Russia.

Krasnodor is also a wonderful place. It houses the highest resort in Russia. There is a city in Krasnodor called Sochi. The city is dedicated for sport. The most beautiful stadium (Krasnodor stadium) in Russia is in Sochi. Sochi Autodrom is one of the best Autodrom in the world. It has hosted Formula One World Championship several times. One of the most beautiful park in the world is also located in Sochi. I can go on and on.

Well, from the graph you posted. Russians have more purchase power than France and Uk. In fact it is ranked 6th in the world. This is the country that some of you called shit hole. Someone was even comparing Russia to Nigeria.

Zelensky told the EU to stop Russians from going for vacation in the EU, last two months. Thousands of Russians routinely travel to other European countries to spend their vacations and return to Russia. They go the UK, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Latvia, France, Poland, Italy e.t.c. They also go to China. These are the people you called poor people. in fact most of them have SHENGEN, strictly for tourism.

Russia is a developed country. It citizens enjoy basic amenities. It has one of the cheapest transportion system in the world. It has the highest, safest (no accident has occurred, except the bombing that occurred some years back), cheapest, most beautiful and most efficient (train arrives every 9secs) underground metro system in the world (Moscow Metro System). Other major cities like St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg e.t.c have their Metro Systems. Russia also has the safest and the longest high speed train in the world. They called the SAPSAN. It can pull. 20 carriages. Check it out on YouTube.

Russia has one of the best and the cheapest health care in the world. Russians don't go for medical tourism else. Remember they were the first to produce covid-19 vaccine, the Spunik-V. Countries like Serbia, Hungary, Argentina e.t.c bought the vaccine.

Russia dominates the artic. They have about 50 ice breaker ships (most are nuclear powered). These ships were built in/by Russia/Russians. The most powerful Ice breaker ship was commissioned last year. The ship nuclear plant can power a city of 200k population. US have just one. China has two.

Russia produces it own commercial plane. Sukhoi Superjet 100, MC 21 e.t.c were built in Russia. The BEE-200 is the only amphibian fire fighter plane in the world. This aircraft move from country to country to help tackle wild fire in Europe and Asia (Israel e.t.c).

Russia has one of the best educational system in Europe. The best tertiary institution in Russia is in St Petersburg. Russians rarely school abroad.

In agriculture, they are the largest exporter of grain in the world. Russia don't import food. They export. They are also one of the largest exporter of fertilizer which the US is one of the major beneficiaries.

In space technology. Everybody knows the impact of Russia.

Russia also export electricity. Most of the Nuclear plant you see around the world were built by the Russians.

Russia is the most sanctioned country in the World. Do you think UK, German, Italy or France can survive such sanctions. The answer is no, because they are dependent on other countries for energy, trade, food & security. Russia is self sufficient.

I can go on and on.

This is the country some of you compare with Nigeria and you called shit hole. Someone even said Russia is the most corrupt country in the world. Most people believe that Oligarchs rule Russia. But I believe Oligarch rule the world. There are Oligarchs everywhere. They are in US, Europe, Asia e.t.c. In the US, the Oligarchs are in the arms industries. They bribe (they called it LOBBYING) the parliamentarians to push bills that favour them.

I don't rely on what people say about Russia. I took my time to study the country. I watch documentaries, read books e.t.c about Russia. Trust me, it is a beautiful countries

In 2019, more than half a million (600k) people move to Russia. While about 200k moved out.

Why use your most advanced military tech, when it can be easily captured and sent straight to Washington to be reverse engineered?

I believe the big toys are being reserved for NATO. Just like the U.S is doing.

Plus it's cheaper to buy from Iran. Those kamikaze drones go for about $20k.
Russia came late to the party. They started investment in drone last 3years. They don't have huge stockpile of military kamikaze and strike drones. They have a very capable strike drone called the Orion drones. But they only have few of these drones. Same with the Orlan 10. They also have S-70 Okhotnik drone which is still under development. In fact most of their drones are still in the pipeline (being developed). So it is very like that they will continue use the Iranian drones to support their operation in Ukraine till the end of the war.

Turkish and Iranian drones are almost the same in terms of cost & effectiveness. They are extremely cheap. Kamikaze drones can be substituted for high precision missiles (cruise missiles or ballistic missile) most of the time. It reduces cost and the unnecessary use of expensive missiles.
