It is the fastest supersonic cruise missile in the world. Some countries now have hypersonic cruise missile. So it is not the fastest cruise missile. It was jointly built by India and Russia. It is based on the Russian P-800 Oniks supersonic anti-ship cruise missile. |

Opolopoopolonio: @bolded They have started failing in Ukraine and they dare NOT use nukes.
Kherson and Zaporizhizhia will soon be retaken.
No part of Kharkiv is in Russia's hands. Are you aware that Russia is now advancing in Mykolav? They have been able to seize some territories in Mykolav. You can google it to confirm. Russia is in total control of Izyum in Kahrkiv. You can google it. Infact recently the Russia troops have started gaining some of the territory they lost during the Ukrainian counter offensive some weeks again. The only place where the Ukrainian troops are making progress is Kherson. Even in Kherson, they are yet to launch the massive counter offensive, they have been talking about. Who will stop Russia from using nuclear weapon in Ukraine? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ukrainian Troops Leaving (Surrendered) The Azovstal Plant by olugabbie(m): 10:09pm On Aug 09, 2022 |
Opolopoopolonio: 1. Russia doesn't completely control Kherson and can't hold a referendum there!
2. Mariupol may have fallen but it's just the first phase of the war. I expect guerrilla warfare to kick in in the coming days. As I type this, we still have some fighters albeit commanders in the Azovstal I don't know about Kherson. But Mariupol is free from any Ukraine sabotage attack. It is far from Ukrainian secret service reach. In addition the city was badly destroyed. It is not densely populated like Kherson. The city is scanty. You can carry out a guerilla warfare in a scanty city. Russia is not going to let go of Kherson, Zaprophizia & the part of Kharkiv that they control. Russia can not loss in Ukraine. If her military start to fail in Ukraine. She will use nuclear weapon. |

I think to better protect Iranian air space. They need SU-35, MIG-35 & S-400 defense system. The pair of SU-35 & MIG-35 can effectively protect Iranian sky. The SU-35 is equipped with top notch avionics. Although it not equipped with AESA radar (it uses PESA radar-the special PESA radar can detect target up to 350km). MIG-35 on other hand is equipped with AESA radar which can track more targets than the SU-35. But it detection range is less than 350km
So imagine these two aircrafts in a mission to protect Iranian sky under the protection of the S-400 defense system. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Gov. by olugabbie(m): 9:37pm On Aug 09, 2022 |
RikudoSennin: Me too. Maybe SU-25 but not 35. Russia gave some SU-25 and Helios to Mali today so who knows. Iran don't need SU-25. The fighter can not protect it's sky against the US & Israel. It needs SU-35. Iran showed interest in the SU-35 before the Ukraine war. I don't think Russia will swap it's SU-35 with Iranian drone. Presently Russia is still riding on it's pride. She is trying to show the world that the war in Ukraine can be fought successfully without any external military assistance. Let see how long they can do this. At a point in the war they stop using their Orlan 10 drone in mass. Probably due to the sanction which made it difficult to get spare parts for thier drones. Recently, it look like, they have found a way around it. Cos they have started using them again in mass. |

Tommydare: Says the Chief of army staff... Israel has advanced pass iran just that they kept it lowkey. And most times, it's not all about firearms, it's about intelligence. Israel never loose guard knowing fully well that they are surrounded by enemies. Israel don't have the capacity to invade Iran. Likewise Iran. The two countries are far apart from each other. So a war between them is going to be a missile war. Israel air force is far better than Iran air force. So Israel can carry out air strike on Iran. Iranian air force can not do the same. But they have enough sophisticated drones and advance missiles (not the rocket made from recycled materials the Palestine are firing into Israel) to respond to any Israelis aggression. The Iranian ability to respond is the reason why Israel has not carried out the threat of attacking Iranian nuclear sites. The same reason the US & NATO don't want the war in Ukraine to go beyond Ukraine. If they hit Russia. Russia will strike back (conventional or not). |

Whobedatte: Putin and his generals were led to believe the much-vaunted Russian S-400 air defense system would provide sufficient protection against HIMARS. It has proven ineffective, and heads will likely roll within the Russian defense industry. The S-400 is not built to intercept missiles from HIMARS. It is designed to shoot down Fighter Jets, Ballistic and Cruise missile. S-400 is presently stationed in Belarus & Crimea. The system is not in Ukraine (Donbass. kherson, Mariopul & Melitopol). There are other systems (Pantsir, Tor e.t.c) that are designed to intercept missiles from the HIMARS. |

A new UN report has found that Ukraine’s armed forces bear a large, and perhaps equal, share of the blame for what happened in a nursing home near Stara Krasnyanka, which is about 580km southeast of Kyiv. A few days before the attack, Ukrainian soldiers took up positions inside the nursing home, effectively making the building a target. The UN’s Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said: “A fire started and spread across the care house, while the fighting was ongoing”. Dozens of elderly and disabled patients were trapped inside without water or electricity. At least 22 of the 71 patients survived, but the exact number killed remains unknown. So technically, militias are the one keeping NATO billions At bay Not entirely. About 70% of Russian troops have returned home. So like 30% still remain in Ukraine. goodheart02: There's no need telling him to wake up, you should be the one to wake up. Does the fact Russia keeps showcasing weapons mean the US doesn't have anything lethal in its arsenal?? Have u ever asked yourself how the US was capable of making a vanishing war jet? That's pure alien technology stored up in Area 51 in the Nevada desert. Ever asked yourself why they went as far as creating a new military arm called the Space Force?? They're preparing for something bigger. US weapons are top classified, and anyone they show you, just know it's about going into the trash can. Only if u know what the 21st century US missile technology is capable of. All super power showcase their cutting edge weapon. There are documentries on all the cutting edge weapon of the US. Tomahawk cruise missile used to be one of the platforms the US used to demostrate its military power. The missile used to be the only long range cruise missile in the world not until Russia launch its Kalibr cruise from the caspian sea to hit target in Iraq and Syria. The US remain the most powerful nation in the world. But that doesn't mean they don't showcase their weapon. The US is currently working on its own Hypersonic missile. It is not a secret. The US wanted to test it's latest ICBM in February. But they had to postpone it due to the war in Ukraine. The ICBM is called the Minute Man II. It is not a secret. |

Russian economy will experience a massive growth in the future. It is inevitable. The West will one day turn their attention to China. China is interested in displacing US as the most powerful country in the world.
The West will have no choice than to restore relationship with Russia to deal with the rise of China. They can not counter China alone. They need India and Russia to effectively counter China.

Hanibbal: They will be stationed there but the launch codes will be in the hands of the Russians likewise the nuclear chain of command and control belongs to Russia. That was what happened when the USSR placed nukes in Cuba during the crisis in 60's. Castro was not allowed to have the launch codes. The Iskander Missile System is a short range missile capable of launching ballistic or cruise missile which can be armed with conventional or nuclear warheads. This is the missile system Russia is sending to Belarus. It is a tactical nuke platform not an ICBM. You don't need any launch code to use it. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Russian People Surprised To Find Out Ukraine War Not Going Well On State TV by olugabbie(m): 7:07am On May 18, 2022 |
ezugegere: Russian-speaking social media users have been left surprised at the damning critique of Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine offered by a military analyst on a Kremlin propaganda TV channel.
The candor of Mikhail Khodaryonok was a talking point for many on social media as he described a military situation on the ground faced by Russian troops far removed from the patriotic take usually given on the state-run channel Russia-1.
Khodaryonok, a former air defense commander turned military commentator, who in 2020 was awarded a "Merit to the Fatherland" medal, said that "virtually the entire world is against us" and that Russian troops would face a tough battle against highly motivated Ukrainian troops.
He said don't believe the "false" reports that Ukrainian forces were facing a morale crisis and that Kyiv would be able to mobilize one million people who will benefit from western arms, meaning the situation for Russian troops "will frankly get worse."
Military pundit Mikhail Kodaryonok told Russian television that Moscow's forces faced an uphill battle against Ukrainian troops in a rare moment of candor on Kremlin-backed TV. Above, Ukrainian soldiers ride in tanks near Bakhmut, Ukraine, on May 12, 2022, amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
He also batted aside interruptions from 60 Minutes host Olga Skabeyeva—dubbed the Kremlin's "propagandist-in-chief," for her suggestion that a non-professional army would pose less of a danger.
Khodaryonok said that it did not matter if Ukraine called upon conscripts, what mattered was their willingness to "fight to the last man" as he also took aim at Moscow's nuclear "saber-rattling" in response to Finland's NATO aspirations.
Russian scientist and political analyst, Andrey Piontkovsky, tweeted: "Khodaryonok has delivered the first capitulation from the Russian armed forces."
"In an extremely rare moment of candour on Russian state TV today, defence columnist Mikhail Khodaryonok gave a damning assessment of Russia's war in Ukraine and his country's international isolation. It's fairly long but worth your time so I've added subtitles." — Francis Scarr (@francis_scarr) May 16, 2022
The video clip of the exchange between Kodaryonov and Skabeyeva was widely shared on the Russian social media website VKontakte, and as of Tuesday morning, had been viewed more than 3.8 million times.
"An extraordinary exchange of views in the next Russian state talk show about Ukraine," commented an anti-war user History of the War, who added, "the only threat to Russia is the paranoid ones like Olga Skabeeva."
"Colonel Mikhail Khodarenok is probably one of the most sane experts in all this zombie clique," Olga Lebedeva commented. "I'm afraid he won't be called again."
Natasha Timofeeva wrote that "a political force capable of changing the situation in Russia may develop around this manifesto." Another user wrote that "common sense" had been broadcast on state television.
"An objective view of what is happening has been shown on air on state television," wrote another user, which was "a rarity in modern times."
"That's Mikhail Khodaryonok. Out of all people in the room he is the most sober one. Why? Well, may be because he's the only one with the substantial military experience. He's a career officer of the air defence who turned to a pundit career only after retirement" (not a thread) — Kamil Galeev (@kamilkazani) May 16, 2022
Meanwhile, many reacted on Twitter as to the significance of such a negative assessment of Russia's chances on a Kremlin-backed channel that has been trumpeting successes in Ukraine and making threats against the west.
Writer Noah Smith tweeted, "Well, that took guts. Good to see reality seeping in." His message was retweeted by Kamil Galeev, a fellow at the Wilson Center.
"Out of all (the) people in the room he is the most sober one. Why? Well, maybe because he's the only one with substantial military experience," Galeev wrote. "Most Russian pundits judged the military capacity of the Russian army based on official propaganda. Khodaryonok—on his lived experience. No wonder he is way more pessimistic about the war." Putin's Micromanagement of Ukraine War To Blame for Russian Failures—Report Russia Pundit Gives Rare Public Damning Assessment of Ukraine War
This is not the first time that Khodaryonok has been critical of the war. Three weeks before the invasion, he wrote an article in Nezavisimaya Gazeta dismissing Russia's chances of being able to defeat Ukrainian units quickly.
"An armed conflict with Ukraine is currently fundamentally not in Russia's national interests," he wrote.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, he told Russia-1 that general mobilization of the Russian population would not accomplish much because Russia had outdated weapons that could not compete with NATO-supplied arms.
Russia media watcher Julia Davis tweeted after his latest appearance: "Many are wondering: why is Khodaryonok allowed to keep talking on Russian TV where any dissent is discouraged? Because his words don't harm the regime. To the contrary, they help temper the expectations, while other pundits promise fast, easy victories."
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-ukraine-kodaryonok-60-minutes-1707270 This is a big lie. Russians are on social media. So they know what is going on. They are on Tiktok, Telegram e.t.c. So they interact with the outside world. The idea that Russians don't know what is going on is a myth. |

Ijoh: This is nothing compared to Russian soldiers that are dying.
Yesterday alone a Batallion of Russian troops destroyed in the black sea area. Ukraine shot down the bridges and they all fell and died in the sea.
Battalion is 300 to 1000 troops. The West has succeeded in make the war very costly for Russia. They made the threat before the war and it is now a reality. Russia is losing a lots. But i believe Putin will not stop until he got something. He can not lose totally in Ukraine. Atleast he will likely get Donbas. It is going to be difficult. The West are not sending not only defensive weapons but also offensive weapon. But Putin will likely get something out of the war. Mariupol and Kherson are gone. Russia will defend those territories with her life. If Donbas is added to it, then Putin will be satisfied. Otherwise the war will continue until Ujraine got tired. |
