The report from NATO in Sept. And a report yesterday from AP analysts.

Putin's comment came has no suprise.
No-one knows the number of high precision missiles Russia has. Everyone is just guessing. Russian missile technology is ahead of others. This is their area of specialization. I strongly believe they have huge stockpile of missiles. If your enemy is NATO (20+ countries) and US. It is common sense that you need to have massive stockpile of missiles.

Russia refrained from attacking Kiev. Ukraine attacked Crimea bridge and Russia needed to teach them a lesson.

The missile attack on Monday & Tuesday was aimed at Defense Systems, Civilian Infrastructures and military target. After degrading Ukrainian defense systems on Monday & Tuesday. They launched massive suicide drone attack on more infrastructures on Wednesday and Thursday.

My favourite missile in Russian arsenal is the Islander M. None has been shot down in Ukraine. The missile is designed to take out defense system. The missile speed is more than Mach 5. It is difficult to intercept. Iskander M can launch both ballistic & cruise missiles. I don't know the capability of the cruise missile. But the ballistic missile is very formidable.

I read that minimum wage in Russia is around $200 a month despite being an oil rich nation. That's low.
If the minimum wage in Russia is $200. Then most Russians are supposed to be homeless by now. Accomodation in Moscow alone is around $200 dollar or more in a month.

Unfortunately, there are no homeless people in Russia. Although, average wages in Russia is very low compare to the West. But their standard of living is almost the same. Average wages in Moscow and St Petersburg is around $800. But PMS, gas (well subsidised) and grain (and other agricultural products)) are extremely cheap compare to the West. In fact the Govt subsidised almost everything in Russia except accomodation in the major cities like Moscow , St Petersburg and Krasnodor.

Countries that have their foreign reserve in the US have started the de-dollarisation of their economy, because of the dump decision by Biden to freeze Russian foreign reserve.

They want to stop exporting some of their tech to China. Which is another dump step. The Chinese are already ahead of them in so many areas like AI, Communication (5g), Rail system, civili engineering/building technology (structures that take Americans years to build, the Chinese will build it in months).

Putin made a mistake in February by attacking and invading Ukraine. He was misled in the first place, but rather than withdraw, he has decided to damn the consequences and forge ahead. The trip to the global future is hazy but by January 2023, a clearer picture will emerge. At this rate, no negotiation will work well for both the Ukrainian and Russian side. Both have committed resources to this war and agreements will be difficult to reach. For Russia however, it is more of a pride and ego thing. The Chinese are taking notes and may perhaps dominate Russia in the future.
China can't dominate Russia. In fact without Russia, China can not displace US from one. Russia has every resources China needs from fertilizer & grain to feed it massive population, to energy to power it massive manufacturing power, to steel, the list goes on. China & India know how reliable Russia can be. They will never joke with Russia.

The likes of Germany, Italy and France that are regarded as the biggest economies in Europe won't have been where they are today without cheap Russian energy. Their economies will begin to fall going forward.

Sellers can not be beggars.

Brilliant point!!!
You understand root of the problem. Russia economy is heavily relied on oil and gas. Russia has not really diversified her economy to industrial one like China. Europe is working on green energy. Ukraine gas reserve in donbas and crimea is a threat to Russian gas monopoly in eastern europe.
Russian economy is not based on energy alone. She is the highest producer of grain in the world. Ukraine is number two. Highest producer of fertilizer. One of highest producer of steel. The list goes on.

Russia economy rely heavily on natural resources, because they have enormous natural resources. Europe don't have huge natural resources like Russia. So they depend on trade. They are able to prosper in trade because their manufacturers have access to cheap oil & gas from Russia. They also get cheap fertilizer for their farmers and cheap grain for their citizens.

Now the US & Norway are selling gas to them at a very high price. The US is selling gas to Europe at 4 times the price in the US. Their economy will slow down without Russian gas. Sooner or later they will realise that there is a strong relationship between their economy growth and Russian gas

Never make your neighbours your enemies. Ukraine is not a small country that Putin would just ride on like that. US would drain Russians resources. Let me remind you. Ussr had more casualties than Germany during ww2. Goal of US and Uk was to keep suppling Stalin resources he need in eastern front of the war through land-,lease act. Germans expended their munitions in eastern front. Nazi army surrendered when munitions finished.
Yesterday, Russia spent $300 to 1B to kill 11 civilians and injured about 90. RA would be getting weaker while UA would be getting stronger.
This war would destroy Russia eventually.
Lol! Russian military equipments are not as expensive as the Western military equipments. The $300-$1b you quoted is the worth of the equivalent of such missiles in the West. You will be shocked that the missiles cost 5 or 6 times less in Russia

The missiles were not aimed at civilians. They were aimed at critical infrastructures & military targets. It is cheaper to kill civilians. Russian bombers can carry enormous unguided bombs that can dropped from very high altitude (near space) on civilian population.

NASAM air defense system the US promise to send to Ukraine is not a long range defense system. It is a short range defense system, the coverage is less than 100km. It is about 40km. It is similar to Tor defense system. The system has not been tested on the battlefield. In fact Tor is more advance than the NASAM. It has more coverage and it has proven more than capable in Ukraine. It has shot down more missiles and drones than any other short/medium range defense systems in the world. In fact, I think the NASAM is not in the same league with Tor. It can be compared to the Pantsir. The ones destroyed on the snake were inactive. They were destroyed when the Russians were on-loading missiles unto the systems.

Long range defense systems like Patriot, S-400 and THAAD are very expensive and yet they can be destroyed. The West has no more S-300 to give Ukraine, which is a long range defense too. Infact the Ukrainians are running low on the S-300 missiles.

The Ukrainian troops deployed to the East/South before the war were more than 100k, they were trained by NATO for years. They were Ukraine best troops. Today, they have been reduced (killed/injured/captured) to almost nothing. They were badly decimated. About 15k-20k of the troops were reduced to about 2k before they surrender in Mariupol.

Don't forget that Ukraine has done full mobilization 4times. The war has been costly for them.

Negotiation is the best option. Well, I wish them good luck.

Biden says Putin 'totally miscalculated' by invading Ukraine but is a 'rational actor'

President Joe Biden said in an exclusive CNN interview Tuesday he believed Russian President Vladimir Putin is a "rational actor" who nonetheless badly misjudged his ability to invade Ukraine and SUPPRESS its people.

"I think he is a rational actor who has MIScalculated significantly, You listen to what he says. If you listen to the speech he made after when that decision was being made, he talked about the whole idea of he was needed to be the leader of Russia that united all of Russian speakers. I mean, it's just I just think it's irrational,

"I think the speech, his objectives were not rational. I think he thought, Jake, I think he thought he was going to be welcomed with open arms, that this was the home of Mother Russia in Kyiv, and that where he was going to be welcomed, and I think he just totally miscalculated,"Biden said.
The truth is beginning to come out. I have said it several times. Putin was not interested in taking Ukraine. He thought, he would get the same treatment, he got in Crimea. The FSB failed him.

The Western analysts didn't believe that he would invade. They said the 250k won't even make it to Kiev. If he wanted to conquer Ukraine he would have started the war with minimum of 500k troops and increase their number as the war progresses.

But surprisingly the insufficient troops went ahead to even push above their weight. They made it to Kiev gate and refuse to bombard the capital.

It has nothing to do with incompetence of the Russian military. It was an intelligent failure. Invading Ukraine was not a miscalculation. The way he conducted the invasion was a miscalculation.

Now, the West is increase the cost of the war for Russia. They are sending more & more advanced weapon to Kiev. Different countries in the was a taken the Ukrainians in thousand out of Ukraine to train them.

The war will end in negotiation. The 300k reservists called up by Russia is just the beginning, more and more will be called up. Ukraine will get tired at a point. The Western civilian population have started speaking out. Elon Musk has spoken out and more and more people will speak out. Protest will increase in the West. People will call for negotiation.

Ukrainian Armed Forces intercepted 20 missiles and shot down almost all drones, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening address
If this is true, he shouldn't be asking for more air defense systems. They shot down 20 out of 28 missiles, because you can't shot down all the missiles no matter how advanced your defense system is.

it took less than 3months to capture Kabul and make Taliban faction run into hiding for 20yrs... show us where usa was defeated in Afghanistan
The US normally send her soldiers to war she has already won. When you impose arms embargo on your enemy to make sure that they don't get weapon from the international market (except black market) and at the same time impose economic sanctions to make it impossible to fund a war. Then you have already conquered your enemy.

The Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya e.t.c don't have 3rd generation fighter like Ukraine to protect their skies or do they have S-300 or BUK to protect their skies. There Military is not as capable as Ukrainian military. Although they have men that are ready to die and fight endlessly. But they don't have sophisticated weapons some weak (militarily) countries in Europe have. They are masters of guerilla warfare because they have not choice. They are not capable of fighting conventionally.

Ukraine is a developed country (compare to Iraq & Afghanistan). Almost all the regions in Ukraine are developed. There are urban areas everywhere in Ukraine. The more urban area a country has, the more you will loose soldiers when you are in a war with such country. In Mariupol for example, the Russians fought building by building. This is the reality of urban warfare. When you have to clear a building, then move to the next without the help of your air force. US ground forces rely heavily on air force. Anytime they face strong resistance, they call on air strikes. You can't do this in an urban area. In Iraq and Afghanistan apart from their capital and may be their second largest cities. The rest are desert. Russia went in with insufficient troops and miraculously they manage to stay in the fight. I believe that after the war, the Western media will tell us how courageous the Russians are. Israel lost a lots of their soldiers when invaded the capital of Lebanon, mostly in the urban area.

I strongly believe that no country in the West will choose to fight in Ukraine in this kind of situation. So comparing the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq with Russian invasion of Ukraine unfair.

A single cruise missile costs almost $2 million per unit. What Russia has done today is wasting its assets and this was likely expected by the Ukrainian government.
I think Russia is using mostly the old Oniks Cruise missile (Brahmos missile is India version of Oniks) and the old kh-101 missile for targets that are not well defended. These are missiles they inherited from the Soviet Union. They have huge stockpile of these missiles.

They use Kalibr Cruise Missile, Iskanker M and Bastion on targets that are well defended. Sometimes they use 3-4 Oniks on target that are well defended to get result.

What's powerful about Russia? Not its military, not its economy, not its education.
Putin needed to be put in his place and I'm glad it's finally happening.
Russian economy is well integrated into the world economy. It can not be isolated. Russia is the world energy super power. If the Russian economy is not strong, the country would have collapsed under the harsh sanctions.

Russia is a developed country. Kindly Google what qualify a country as DEVELOPED to answer the question surrounding Russian educational system.

Russia military remains the 2nd strongest military in the world. The strength of a country military is not based on winning wars. If you have a military that can protect your country from any external aggression or that has the capacity to challenge adversaries irrespective of their strengths (US & NATO), then your military is very strong.

You can qualify a country as a military super power if such country has the capacity to do the follow:

1. Wage war without any external help. Which is what Russia is doing in Ukraine. Although, they bought drones from Iran. They don't have huge stockpile of drone. They started their military drone project in 2019. They will definitely invest heavily in the project after the war.

2. The country must have enough oil reserve to wage war. Tanks, military vehicles, aircrafts e.t.c all run on fuel. A super power must has unlimited access to oil to fuel the war. Country like China may not be able to wage a prolong war, if it doesn't have a reliable supplier of crude oil. Russia has unlimited access to oil.

3. The country is expected to have its own military satellites. Such country must be able to track it's enemy troops movement, Strategic weapons movement and the ability to destroy your adversaries satellites if the need arises. Russia is more than capable in the area

3. The country must be able to produce it's own weapon. The Chinese military industry is still developing. They are still finding it difficult to produce reliable engines for their military aircrafts. Most of the locally made Chinese fighter jets till use Russian engine, including some of the J-20. Although they are getting closer.

4. The country must be able to protect its own territory from the air, sea and land effectively.

5. Ability to carry out effective intervention in a foreign land. Russia did it in Syria alone likewise US several times. Other super powers have not demonstrated such capabilities in large scale like the two mentioned above. France is doing it in Africa on a very small scale

5. Nuclear Triad. Only 2 countries have true TRIAD capabilities. They are US & Russia. They both have strategic bomber fleet, strategic submarine fleet and enough ground base ICBM. Other super power like France & UK don't have bombers. But their fighter jets can carry tactic nuke. The US F-22 raptor and the Mig-31 can also carry tactic nuke. But their bomber fleet give them an edge.

Israel has won many wars. But she is not a super power. Israel imports fighter jet for its air force. Which is the most important part of her Military. Lastly Israel military is too small. You can not dominant the world with a small military no matter how strong your military is. It is just impossible.

The Wager has not retreated since the beginning of the war. They are currently in Donestsk. In fact they are advancing, they are pushing the Ukrainians back in Bakhmut. The West are beginning to recognise their professionallism.

The Chenchens still remain the most feared soldiers on the battlefield. They retreated from Kharkiv majorly because they were outnumbered. Russia currently don't have enough men inside Ukraine. In fact the 250k sent to Ukraine were not enough considering that Ukraine has done the 4th general mobilization. The Russian leadership had a choice whether to save Kherson or Kharkiv when the Ukrainians were able to raise a substantial amount of forces for counter-offensive in both Kherson and Kharkiv. Since the Russians didn't have enough troops to defend the two regions. They decided to save Kherson and they withdrew most of their forces from Kharkiv to Kherson.

Maybe just maybe Ukraine already knew what retaliation from Russia would look like. The Kremlin should thread with caution because NATO, EU and the US are monitoring launch locations.
I think they are trying to figure out if Russia is running low of high precision missiles or not.

The West already know the location of the missiles. Some are fired from war ships on the black sea (Kalibr Cruise), some fired from air through Belarus and black sea using bomber (KH-101 Cruise Missiles) and some fired from Russia territory (Iskanker Ballistic/Cruise missile).

They know already but there is nothing they can do about it. It is not there war.

what about the combined 500, 000 convicts and grandpas Wagner is recruiting for abobaku hunter Putin?
Wagner is doing it's own recruitment separately. It will be impossible for the private military company to get 100k men let alone 500k.

Russia govt is trying to raise 300k on it own. The DPR, LPR, Kherson, Zaprophizia e.t.c are doing the same on their own. All these men won't be ready until next year. They need minimum of 3 months of training.

Even when they are ready, they will not be sent to the frontline. This is why...

If you send 250k troops to war. 2/3 of the 250k will not be sent to the frontline. You need a substantial number of the troops to protect your supply line. In the case of Russia. The already controlled territories in the Donbas and the new territories the Russian took (Kherson, Zaprophizia & Kharkiv) were also manned by part of the 250k troops. Likewise the key infrastructures in those areas like Power stations, Rail stations, Nuclear plant, administration buildings e.t.c

So only about 1/3 are sent to the frontline. That was why I said if the Russians have truly lost 80k. The Ukrainians should be able to push the Russians out of Ukraine entirely in less than a week. When these 300k troops are ready next year. The Russian soldiers, Chenchens, LPR & DPR e.t.c that are already in Ukraine but not on the frontline, will be sent to the frontline. While most of the 300k will replace them by taking over the protection of the supply line, the key infrastructures e.t.c. Then bit by bit, in the future the reservists will be sent to the frontline to fight through rotation.
