ZionSpecie: I would check if I can push forward my appointment for a couple of weeks. I will reply that email immediately and let them know why I need my admission letter and GA offer letter asap so I can request for I-20 asap. But if you're unable to reschedule to a reasonable date, just go for your interview. You can always switch schools later Okay but the problem right now is that I don’t want to mess my application. I feel with a GA, the probability of having your Visa approved is 50% already and I have a better chance than the other school which I already have an extension letter for late resumption. |

Please I need you guys to advice me on this. I just got a graduate assistantship in a school I applied to last year and I have an interview for another school in abuja next week which I was only offered a scholarship of 18k which was splitted into 9k each for the 2years. I’m confused on what to do.

Hey guys. I’m having my interview next week in abuja. Any advice on what to do different? Anyone feels talking really fast and making enough points clear or talking calm or slowly make them believe you’re confident.
Any advice on dressing and looks too?
Everything just seems somehow right now, Make God help us. |

Ricost: You will have to write your school and inform them about the situation on ground and request for an extension letter also. You will take the extension letter to the embassy for your interview. Thanks a lot boss. I’m so grateful I hope I getting the letter now won’t be late. |

ibcircuit: Hello House,
Does this write up fit for an EA application ? ;
I write to request the need for an emergency appointment for my visa interview nearer than January 06, 2022, as the school program begins on January 18, 2022, while the international orientation program comes up on January 13, 2022. Moreover, there is a need for me to have arrived there like ten days earlier due to the quarantine exercises that I will need to undertake. I will really be happy if I am considered for the appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
Lagos Consulate !!! Please can we talk on WhatsApp, I was given an EA appointment on the 13th in abuja and I have to resume on the 18th too. Hope that won’t affect like this? Anyway I can change to a nearer date too? |

They will be paying for my tuition and cost of living while I study in the usa. Also my employer will be giving me 25percent of my salary as stipend. VO: you have sibling ? ME: yes, my younger brother is currently doing his nysc he’s an architect and also into music. My elder brother is an accountant, he’s married with a child VO: Who are your employer I am currently working as an assistant academic planning of the department of early childhood education at national open university of Nigerian.my responsibilities include ensuring effective day to day operations of the dept including developing and overseeing the curriculum, instruction and assessment programs of the dept. I started working with them in oct 2018 and I have spoken with my superiors about my intention to go for my master and they have approved a 24 months study leave for me with a 25pecent of my salary monthly VO Cut in….. but I was about to mention that after the master I will return to job and other bla bla stuff VO what will you do after master? upon my graduation I will return to apply and take up a senior position in my current place of work at the national open university of Nigeria. Also alongside my job I shall be partnering with some ngo like unicef and USAID to combat early childhood education deficiency here in nigeria Also I am a member of Nigerian educational research and development council (NERDC), this master will equip me with the skills and knowledge that I need in other to provide professional recommendation to the federal and state govt on issues bordering the early childhood education in Nigeria VO CUT IN… as I was about mentioning my last point, that is to establish a nursery/primary school of usa standard in Nigeria VO : I see you travel to turkey ME: yes I went for annual vacation early February this year. VO.. The golden word… I will be approving ur visa
Tips 1. Be smart when filling your ds160. 2.. Be an active interviewee ... A lot of people got denied while i was waiting for my turn, because they were giving one word answers. Vo will now have to ask many questions just to get one information. No time the vo will just denied them straight. 3... Pray and practice hard ..........what worked for me,,........ 1. I prayed mid nights prayers for 3months while I practice 2. I also spoke in American accent all through. After She collected my passport and i20 she didn't looked at me until she approved me. Her face was on the computer while she ask me questions, I was the one staring at her while she types and read somethings on her computer, so I was relax and everything I rehease was just flowing ( all the American movies wey I dey watch pay me Lol) it worked for me, I am not saying everyone must do the same 3. I was audible and confident 4. if u have been denied before, explain what happened briefly and how u think but that was not correct ( check footnote for more info) Thanks to everyone who helped me, I am very grateful and thank you very much again... Pls any one going to Los Angeles or already in LA pls connect with me I will be grateful. .........Previouly denied....... People always say us consulars are trained psychologists they will know when you are Lying (omo na wash) here you too need to be you own psychologist o.. From ur interview u have to deduced why u were denied and then on ds160 you can briefly explain what happened there and why u think that is not true. Make it brief, so u can skip all those formal I was denied under session 214b stuff. After all everyone know say na 214b . so straight to the point with something like " during my interview I was nervous and I couldn't express myself when the consular asked about my bla bla bla or when the consular inquired about this or that I stuttered and gave a one word answer and so I was denied, but actually I was this or but actually I have this ( then start explaining how it is ) ...things to note on this part while explaining why u were denied.. 1. Never blame the vo for misunderstanding you... Just see it like it your fault vo thinks you want to japa( I was denied by the Korean guy 1st attempt) 2. Make it short, but make sure the reason you think u were denied and how u think that's not correct is captured.. so to save space don't include the embassy where it happened or date because the current vo have that information.. Why I am saying this is because if its too long vo won't have time to read it all .. It could turn off the vo 3. Don't sound angry or rude 4.. From all the questions you were asked you have to find out at what point vo was not convinced with ur story and decided to denied you. 4. Make sure ur ds160 is very strong Best of luck to everyone.... Gracias I guess the cancellation of the dates was a rumour then. My EA appointment was for 13th of January and I applied since 16th of December hoping to get at least December.

Financial statement or affidavit of support don't stop you from getting admitted I’m awaiting my I-20 form from Missouri S&t too with. They haven’t sent it yet make person process interview. xteemd01: 1st: You finished high school in 2015, and just going for a bachelors degree more than 6 years after high school. That’s a disqualifying factor that will be hard to circumvent. I will put your age at over 21. Undergrads going abroad are usually within the age 16-19 (maybe 20) age.
2nd: You are going abroad for social work. In the fabric of the Nigerian society, I don’t really see this as a “marketable” skill. That’s a ‘NO’ for me.
3rd: Your responses to these questions: (what have you been doing? What will you do when you return to nigeria? What will this course do for you? How did you hear about the school?)…do not portray someone that really has a firm understanding of what he really wants to do. Your responses to question 2 & 3 in my parentheses should be tied to how marketable social work is in nigeria. But personally, I have expressed I don’t really believe in it. And you should stop saying you did an extensive research on google to find out about a school. Students going for master’s will expertly say “I reviewed an article written by a prof in this school during my undergraduate thesis. Conducted an in-depth analysis using the school’s website to learn more about a program that I am interested in”…. Just learn to say something along the academic line.
4th: who is sponsoring you? What does he do I will be capitalizing my expert response here so that everyone can benefit: THE “BURDEN OF PROOF” GOING TO THE EMBASSY HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL FORVER REMAIN, HOW ONE’S STUDY WILL BE FUNDED. THE PEOPLE I HAVE HELPED AND ANYONE I AM HELPING, I ALWAYS ENCOURAGE NOT TO GO TO THE EMBASSY UNLESS THEY HAVE FULL FUNDING OR MORE THAN 50% FUNDING. YOU CAN ALMOST ASSESS YOUR SUCCESS AT THE INTERVIEW ON THIS CRITERION ALONE. HOWEVER, THE FACT THAT SOMEONE DOES NOT HAVE FUNDING DOESN’T NECESSITATE THAT THEY SHOULDN’T GO TO THE EMBASSY. JUST ENSURE THAT THE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT IS LEGITIMATE AND CARRIES MORE THAN *3 OF WHAT YOUR COA IS.
LASTLY, WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE OWNER OF THE SOA YOU ARE CARRYING. IN MY OWN LISTING AND ARRANGEMENT FROM STRONG - WEAK TIE: ONE’S BIOLOGICAL PARENTS, UNMARRIED SIBLINGS, MARRIED MALE SIBLINGS, MATERNAL UNCLE/RELATIVE THAT CARRIES YOUR SURNAME (LASTNAME).
Any other thing than this, you really have a hell of a hill to overcome considering how everyone is frantically trying to get out of the country. I did the same more than seven years ago.
LASTLY: God is the one that qualifies even the unqualified. We have seen people with worst profile get granted visa. Miracles happen. Personally, I don’t test God until I have done my own due diligence. And I intensely pray to God to bless my efforts.
I wish you the best femotech…. Please I would like to text you better on your mail. Finding it hard to text you boss. Or maybe you could drop your WhatsApp number. |

MiamiePizza: I recommend anyone going for spring or fall 2022 to search and apply to schools in Missouri. They have relatively low tuition and acceptance rate is high for both undergraduate and graduate studies. They even give out scholarship like breakfast... I made some research and I learnt the reason the tuition fees in the state is low is because the state is really poor, and the crime rate is high, this make even housing to be cheap. The goal is to get admission and japa, the crime rates shouldn't scare us na. Lol I got one too. Did you get your visa approved already. Would love to talk better on that school if you don’t mind. |

Yes thanks! I’m actually to send my financial statement together with my passport for my is-20 to be sent. It’s actually so messed up because my passport expired and it might be up to a week before I get a new one because of NIN issues. I hope I meet up on time. Confusion wan wound me right now because I don’t know how long it will take for the I-20 form to be out with processing and all. I’m to resume Jan 18 for spring. It’s just too close!!! Please anyone with any advise.... |
