please explain more..

will the borrowed money exceed the investment by a lot?

How much can one get with say 100k t-bills proof?
Usually, banks require collateral that exceeds the value of the loan.
InvestmentRe: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by olujaidi: 12:23am On Jul 29, 2017
RealityShot:
you do t-bills at 18%
then go take a loan with it at 30%

how does that makes sense please?
This implies a net borrowing cost of 12%

Plus the funds could be used for projects with return in excess of 12%

IMO, people should stop disparaging comments about FD. There were times in the past when NTB rates were far poorer than FD rates. There were times I got rates just as good as NTB

I wonder if y'all would've been as enthusiastic when rates were sub 10%

It's since been changed by the CBN guide to bank charges to N50 monthly

They should just warn GTB
Seems they have a personal beef for me
I thought interbank transfer charge is #50 per transaction but the always deduct #80
I get 3 sms alerts per transaction which I have to pay #4 for each.
So I pay #92 for every transaction
That's stealing
transfers via USSD e.g *737* are based on cost recovery

Got mail from GTB 2days ago about a 13,800 debit for something I never asked or subscribed to. I have had nothing to do with the bank for over 4yrs I got fed up with their handling of my card issues. And will not have a thing to do with them. They can get the money from wherever they see it in the account.
Diamond bank sent theirs midnight today, I have never used the account before and thankfully too. They can as well, collect the 9,400 from the Nano millions in there.
I dey put my money for kolo or dig ground put am that way, these amase anfani pipo agaghi eri'm angry angry
This is an SMS sent by fraudsters not GTB or Diamond. Beware

FamilyRe: When A Man Is Richer Vs When A Woman Is Richer by olujaidi: 3:42pm On Jun 15, 2017
PaperLace:
How do men handle being richer? tyranny?
Was it not on this same NL a thread was created asking people if they'll like to marry men like their fathers, and most people said no?
Citing how their father bossed everyone around because he is the sole provider? When a man is richer, he immediately crowns himself god, everyone falls into place. Isn't it this providing you men keep using to disturb someone's ear, why can't the woman feel important when she assumes same role?

When a woman is richer, you expect her to belittle her achievements to please the man, she'll buy a car and has to tell people it's the husband that bought it _ that's the only way to look humble.

As far as I am concerned, the problem of most Nigerian men is ego. Aside their manhood and money, they feel useless. They have been brought up to feel they must provide and earn more. The moment they are not living up to that, insecurity sets in. Even the wife's footstep will be likened to pride.

I don't blame women that go for richer men at all!!!!
Work on your fecking insecurities and stop looking for a woman to control with money.
I'm curious...are you saying women don't have egos? Or that they do not let their egos get in the way as well?

I tire pass you as regards the miners, they are all Tinubu boys. Even Fayemi came down last two Months to stop them, the next day, they returned with full force
The miners are a major part of the problem. The failure of the LCDA to clear the drainage is another. The manner of construction esp. on the drainages where it prevents the flow of water is there. The lack of town planning in that axis is the biggest. As for Tinubu and his boys, man must wack grin

Frustrating is an understatement
PoliticsRe: Ambode And The Meaningless Ajah Fly-over by olujaidi:
I agree with you. The bridge was only one part of the solution. A more comprehensive solution would have included lay-bys abi na lays-by on either side of the bridge as well as an expansion of the entrance into Ado road and the exit onto the expressway. A pedestrian bridge would help too

It would appear that Ambode was merely after quick wins. Although, to be fair to him, when he commissioned the bridge he ordered the rehabilitation of the road. To date nothing has happened.

The sand miners were banned under Fashola. Only God knows what underhand dealings were made during the elections.

Hello guys,

I'm not very knowledgeable in these things so, I will appreciate clarification to my question.

It would appear to me that it's better to invest a good amount of money for shorter terms and re-invest it at the end of the term.

Eg, If I invest 3m for 87 days at 17.3%, and re-invest it for another 87 days at the end of the tenure, won't I be getting a total of 36.4% in less than 185 days as against 17.3% that I'd have gotten if I'd done a straight 185 days?
Nope.

The rates are annual. You'll only get twice the return if your principal is 2x your principal i.e. 6m.

Plus, you still have reinvestment risk to contend with.

is it the 5 digit m-pin you are talking about? You are required to input your ATM card number and your ATM pin first of all..and then create a 5 digit m-pin and also a 4 digit transaction pin.. So I would like to know the exact pin you are referring to

have you downloaded the app previously or is it your first time of of registering?

If its your first time of registering, you are required to input all the numbers showing in front of your ATM card and your ATM pin.. Make sure the pin is the same pin with your ATM pin..

If error persists..please go to settings, try to make sure the default keyboard settings is English US Android keyboard. The reason why I said so is because if its not the default phone keyboard being used, whenever you type a code, it inputs another different number altogether at the back end
Works now. Thank you

I don't see what the fuss is about. Its an investment thread albeit a TB specific one. Naturally, other types of investments will be talked about. A popular one is the TB vs Real Estate argument that we get here from time to time. I've personally learned a lot from these so called digressions. They break the hum drum conversations.
