Health / People With Lung Conditions SHOULD NOT Wear Face Masks, Expert Warns. (netwyz) by olukiesy(m): 4:33am On May 19, 2020
READ DETAILS>>> https://www.netwyzblog.com/2020/05/people-with-lung-conditions-should-not-wear-nose-masks.html

Experts warn that people with asthma or other lungs should not wear a face mask as this may make it difficult for them to breathe.

People are advised to wear face masks in a public place or among other people. In fact, the coronavirus is a respiratory virus, which means that it infects people when it is inhaled and binds to cells in the airways and lungs.

However, people with asthma or other lung diseases may have difficulty breathing with facial covers.

Masks can make it difficult to draw air into the lungs, which can cause asthma in some patients and cause anxiety that changes the way people breathe.

The patients are in a catch-22, however, because they are also at a higher risk of becoming seriously ill if they do catch the virus, and may be more likely to spread it when they're infectious.
Experts say people should wear a mask if they comfortably can, to protect themselves and others around them, but not risk their own health in the process.

Experts say people should wear a mask if they can comfortably, to protect themselves and others, but don't risk their own health in the process.

In its formal commitment, the British Cabinet Office now says: "If you can, wear a face covering in an enclosed space where social distancing isn’t possible and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet. This is most relevant for short periods indoors in crowded areas, for example, on public transport or in some shops."

But he adds: "Face coverings should not be used by children under the age of 2 or those who may find it difficult to manage them correctly. For example, primary age children unassisted, or those with respiratory conditions."

Asthma UK says: "For some people with asthma, wearing a face covering might not be easy. It could make it feel harder to breathe."

"The government has advised people with respiratory problems not to wear face covers, so if they are having difficulty, do not use them"

Dr Purvi Parikh, an immunology and infectious disease specialist at New York University, said people with lung conditions, those with skin abnormalities on their face or neck, or children or people with dementia may not be able to wear masks regularly.
Those with breathing problems may find they worsen because of the mouth and nose covering, she said.
Dr Parikh told MailOnline: 'Those with lung conditions are in a catch-22 because they probably need the mask more than the average person but it can be challenging to breathe.
'A tight mask on your face can make anyone have trouble breathing. I even get it when I'm treating my patients.
'We're approaching summer-time so it's hot outside, and when you're consistently breathing hot air on top of your own breath that can be quite uncomfortable.

HTC Is Making Earbuds That Look Like A Black Version Of Apple’s AirPods

Phones / HTC Is Making Earbuds That Look Like A Black Version Of Apple’s Airpods(netwyz) by olukiesy(m): 3:49am On May 19, 2020

HTC seems to be about to release a new wireless headset called U Ear, and they are very similar to Apple's AirPods.

Photos of the headphones have been leaked through documents from US regulators. United States and Taiwan, discovered by Android police.

The design of the U-shaped ear is very similar to that of Apple AirPods, shiny plastic, the rounded tip of the ear and the earlobe. There seem to be two main differences: the charging pins are on the front of the earbud, not on top of the ends, and the earbud is all black, unlike AirPods which only come in white. While this is still possible, HTC may launch other color options.

The HTC charging case is also inspired by Apple earphones. Both look like a compact box in the shape of a polished cube. There is however a big difference: the HTC case opens like a ring box, instead of having a hatch on top of the case. There is also a USB-C headphone jack on the case, and it looks like the package will include a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Apple's AirPods were originally launched in 2016, followed by the second generation and the Pro model. Other companies, such as Amazon, Jabra and Microsoft, have attempted to conquer part of the wireless headset market, with mixed success. Some companies, like Huwaei, have even entered the market with a design clearly inspired by the Apple product.

Phones / Iphone 11 Overview(netwyz Blog) by olukiesy(m): 3:25am On May 19, 2020
READ WITH PICTURES>>>https://www.netwyzblog.com/2020/05/iphone-11-overview.html?m=1

iPhone 11 release date

At its fall 2019 event, Apple announced that the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max was released on September 20th. Preorders began on September 13th at 5 a.m. PDT.

iPhone 11 price
The iPhone 11 will retail for $699. The iPhone 11 Pro will retail for $999, and the 11 Pro Max will retail for $1,099. Apple is promoting trade-ins of previous models to lower the cost.

iPhone 11 features
The camera has a wide, ultra-wide lens, rather than wide and telephoto lens as many have predicted. This feature allows users to adjust the crop and zoom after shooting. There is also a new night mode that activates automatically to illuminate photos in low light and reduce noise. It also includes the new generation of Smart HDR.

QuickTake is a new video feature that makes it easy to record videos by long pressing the camera button. Video quality is 4K at 60 frames per second, as well as slow motion, time lag and extended dynamic range.

The front camera has been upgraded to 12 MP with wide angle selfie support when the phone is in the horizontal position. You can also record 4K videos at 60 frames per second, as well as slow motion videos.

The iPhone 11 is available in six colors: black, white, red, purple, green and yellow. The iPhone 11 also has a new anodized aluminum coating, which Apple says is more durable. There is also Dolby Vision sound.

It is powered by Apple's new Bionic A13 chip, which Apple considers to be its fastest processor. In terms of autonomy, the iPhone 11 has an autonomy of one hour more than the iPhone XS.

iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max features

Apple has announced an iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max that will retail for $999 and $1,099.
Color-wise, there’s a new midnight green color, a refreshed space gray, refreshed silver, and a new gold finish. Apple is also promoting a wider dynamic range display called Super Retina XDR. As was rumored, it has a new triple camera system — a triangular array of lenses in a rectangular camera bump.

Apple has added the ultra-wide lens on both the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, which is shown in the Camera app as a 0.5x button. All a user has to do is just zoom out to see more and take wider shots, from 0.5x to 2x. The ultra-wide has an f/2.4 aperture with a 120-degree field of view.
There are also upgrades to the telephoto and wide-angle lenses, including 100% Focus Pixels. There is a new Night mode to take illuminated low-light photos similar to the Google Pixel Night Sight feature.

Apple is using computational photography to fuse photo data from all three lenses in order to improve image detail. A technology called “Deep Fusion” combines nine images using a neural network analysis on every single pixel. Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller described it as “computational photography mad science.”

Like with the non-Pro version, Apple has upgraded the front camera with a 12-megapixel sensor. The camera is also wider so you can now rotate to landscape on the selfie cam to fit more people into the frame. There is also slow-mo on the front camera for the first time.

Politics / Lagos State Has Considered The Reopening Of Worship Centers And Economy(netwyz) by olukiesy(m): 2:43am On May 18, 2020
READ >>> https://www.netwyzblog.com/2020/05/lagos-state-has-considered-reopening-of-worship-centers-and-economy.html

The Lagos government has said it plans to reopen critical sectors of its economy.

State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed it today in a speech following a meeting of the State Security Council held at the State House in Marina.

According to the governor, the state government would implement the initiative to open the Register within the framework of plans that would allow it to assess the level of preparation of the actors in the sectors identified for the supervised operations. The governor said officials from the Lagos State Security Commission (LSSC) and the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) would visit restaurants, businesses and religious houses to assess the level of preparation.

With the size of the State’s economy and numbers of businesses that operate in its domain, the Governor said the Government could not afford to keep people and businesses on lockdown permanently.

“We are at a level where we are reviewing the other arms of the economy. In the coming days, we will be starting what we call Register-to-Open, which means all players in the restaurant business, event centers, entertainment, malls and cinemas will go through a form of re-registration and space management.
“There is a regulation that will be introduced to supervise this move. We will be coming to their facilities to assess their level of readiness for a future opening. I don’t know when that opening will happen in the weeks ahead, but we want these businesses to begin to tune themselves to the reality of COVID-19 with respect to how their workspaces need to look like.

Given the size of the state's economy and the number of businesses operating in its field, the governor said that Lagos could not afford to keep people and businesses closed all the time.
“For us, it is not to say they should re-open fully tomorrow or any time; there has to be a process guiding the re-opening. We will be mandating LASEPA and Safety Commission to begin the enumeration process and the agencies will be communicating with all relevant businesses and houses in the days ahead. I must, however, caution that this should not be misinterpreted as a license for full opening; it is certainly not. The State’s economy is not ready for that now.” he said
“We are reviewing and considering how the phased unlocking will happen. If we see a huge level of compliance, then it can happen in the next two to three weeks. If not, it could take a month or two months. It is until we are sure all of these players are ready to conform to our guidelines,” the Governor added,
He called on businesses, religious houses and residents to maintain the status quo as the state works out the terms of a full reopening.

The governor revealed that 10 government personnel who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) had fully recovered and resumed their rhythm. He said disclosure is necessary to further promote transparency in state reporting and management of coronavirus cases.
He ordered banks and markets to strictly enforce the order on their premises. He stressed that preference should be given to the elderly to conduct business transactions in banks and markets between 9:00 am. and 10:30 a.m., after which other young customers should be able to transact.

Politics / Coronavirus: TCN Makes Clarification On Free Electricity Supply To Nigerians. by olukiesy(m): 4:36am On Apr 17, 2020
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has denied allegations that the federal government provided Nigerians with free electricity in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic.

TCN CEO, Usman Mohammed, who gave this in an interview to NAN on Thursday, said the government did not have all of the departments in the electricity sector.

"There is also information that electricity will be free, which will affect us because some customers who receive this information will probably not pay. The federal government cannot release electricity because it has not of electricity".

"With the exception of the Transmission (TCN), which is only a power transmission, belonging to the federal government, all the other chains are in private hands. "As now, the federal government is providing grants, which is not enough because we still have huge unpaid bills", he said.

Mohammed added that electricity supply services have improved considerably during the first 14 days of closure via Lagos, Ogun and Abuja. According to him, the whole country should maintain its electricity supply.
