Subzero47: Balogun has not ever even played a match since his return to fitness I tire. Why is Agu even there ahead of Azeez. iheanacho and Musa shouldn't be there ahead of Maja, Onyekuru or Onuachu. I just tire for Rohr. |

TheSuperNerd: Ehizibue missing is quite a surprise. But you can factor in the comeback of Ebuehi (placed on standby), the invitation of Zaidu alongside Collins, Aina and refusal to drop any of the previous regular names on our list and maybe the fact Rohr didn't want to make the list 27. Wanted to keep the Defenders at 8.
As for the German-Nigerian CBs, their FIFA clearance/switch process obviously hasn't been finalised. Perhaps by the November games, one or two could be ready. Time will tell. Buh really why does he have to invite 5 CB's??. What if Aina is injured who'll take is place, Awaziem again?? |

Kog45: Kelly my man, a fit Balogun would start ahead of Semi and Uduokhai and proper tournament don't rule out Omeruo.Awaziem truly average defender but proved me wronged with his performance in the last Afcon.
...but funny enough I don't rate Ekong.
Apart from Jordan,i don't see Kevin, Uduokhai getting it easy with our present defenders Oga mi if our defenders are clearly better than them. Gernot Rohr won't be running after them |

TheSuperNerd: @bolded... Spoken like a true Elder that observes keenly. Omeruo has been quite reliable in tournaments. Was good at the WC and was awesome at Afcon 2019.
'Not saying Omeruo is guaranteed a spot every now and then but he is a solid defender in the GWG and one of our battle hardened lieutenants who proved to be our best CB even at our last major tournament being the Afcon. But the rise of Semi Ajayi has seen competition really thicken and now the rise of the "German-Nigerian lads" will make it even thicker.
I understand Omeruo is in the next list.
As for you not rating Ekong, well... Every man has his taste. But Ekong is a deserved starter in our team now.
And you are right... Among the lads coming in, Jordan will likely be a starter alongside Ekong. But the likes of Uduokhai and Akpoguma will do some serious battle with Omeruo and Awaziem for the backup spots. Even Leon Balogun is not left out for now even though his days are now numbered in the team. Also not forgetting that Tosin Adarabioyo could be added with time.
Makes the battle even more interesting. I thought Omeruo was injured |

TheGoodJoe: Fact is that Ndidi will cost a fortune. He is one of the best players in the EPL. So a transfer will be difficult. I only see Ndidi moving to one of the biggest teams in the game. Leicester City owner is hard boiled on the negotiating table. That was why Pep left Maguire. Exactly!!!. Considering the fact that he still has 4 years left on his contract |

12large1: As good as ndidi is now, was he better than onazi (Anc 2013) or even (WC 2014)? Very debatable. Its either that Ndidi is only highly regarded by Nigerians or Big clubs are reluctant on signing him due to his "limited abilities". It makes no sense why he is Highly regarded by Nigerians and cannot transfer to a bigger club after 3 seasons of Top Notch performance for his country E gbami, is it the same Onazi we both know u are comparing to Ndidi?? |

Danielnino00: Egypt are currently not as good as they are before...and their over reliance on Salah isn't helping them at all..that's why I feel they aren't much of a threat at the moment..I may be wrong.. @ bolded, I disagree o... Egypt have produced some quality ballers .. forget say most of Dem didn't play in Europe... Egyptian clubs can give many clubs in Europe top leagues a run for their money! Fair point, what I meant is that unlike the west African teams where majority of their stars are based in Europe, for a lot of the Egyptian players u barely know them. But one thing I can attest to is thier Technicality and they know how to frustrate thier opponents |

Danielnino00: Egypt? Nope! With or without Salah, they are beatable..
Algeria don't have too many top players but they are very organised, that makes them deadly! .. Senegal are also another elite team with a lot of top players...na badluck Dy follow them around...
And you are right, we need to sort out our set piece issue...
I also feel it's time Rohr made a decision on his choice in midfield.. We can't continue with Ndidi-Etebo midfield pairing...it doesn't always work! And Iwobi needs serious competition...
We need the midfield to be more creative!!
In all sincerity,we have what it takes to win the next AFCON! .. If Rohr can't deliver it, I'm afraid that would be the end for him... Morocco and Senegal should be favorites based on thier players buh both countries seem like underachievers. I agree Egypt are Very Beatable, but thier record in the competition is scary and they've never had top players but they always find a way to win. |

Some FIFA 21 cards already revealed... Focus on pace.
Chidera Ejuke is the fastest Nigerian player rated by EA Sports FIFA so far on his base card. He also makes the top 20 fastest in the game alongside other Africans like Ismaila Sarr (Senegal/Watford) and Kreppin Diatta (Senegal/Club Brugge). The fastest were named as Adama Traore, Alphonso Davies and Kylian Mbappe all on 96 pace.

Subzero047: Transfermrkt rating of the German defenders
Jordan Torunarigha 23 years, 13 million Felix Uduokhai 23 years, 10 million Kevin Akpogunma 25 years, 4.8 million The only reason why thier value is like this is simply because they are "Germans".At this thier level, after playing for us thier value will drop except if they are extraordinary |
