Uti and Lucille have apologised to each other and they are talking to each other as usual again. Well, they were both wrong in my opinion, though Lucille was 'more' wrong than Uti. Uti was wrong in the sense that he used the F-word and Lucille was totally wrong for sticking her nose in like that. They'D probably still be nominating each other come Monday and I also expect Munya to nominate Uti except he sticks to his 'eliminate-the-threats' policy and nominates Ricco and Sheila again.

Come rain come Sunshine Thami would still nominate Uti. Thats at least 3 nominations for Uti next week.

Yes Uti used the F-Word against Lucille but  the way the girl adressed Uti was quite annoying. Thami didn't complain and besides Thami has even said worse things than 'Retard' to Uti. Uti wouldn't have gotten annoyed if Lucille had invited him to a private set-up and told him how she felt about him dissing Thami and Uti would have explained the whole issue to her like adults. The fact that she confronted him openly proved that she wanted to potrait Uti as a bad guy to the other housemates and the fact that she said the viewers are offended proved that she also wanted to potrait him as a bad guy to the viewers. I watched that scene and Lucille's comments sounded rehearsed. Uti saw through her like I did and got very angry, I would have also gotten very angry but I won't have used the F-word. The fact that Lucille has developed a strange soft-spot for Thami due to the fact that they spent time in the punishment room might have also powered her decision to adress Uti in that manner. I believe they will be sorting out their differences today. wink

I don't know if anybody else has noticed but Munya seems to be very pretencious, he's a bit like Bertha. Remember, this is how Bertha was at the beginning with her fanbase growing so fast until her true colours came out (Its a Zimbabwean thing!!!) Many people might not agree with me but watch that guy Munya, he seems to be very pretencious!!!! angry

Mimi is cool but her gossipping weakness will soon land her in trouble, no doubt. She should just watch it.

Uti actually likes this Thami guy but Thami just seems to hate Uti unnecessarily.

If this is Hazel's real behaviour then she'll be going far in the competition and Uti wouldn't have made a better choice for a partner in the house wink

Whenever I see that Tawana girl, I just feel like vommitting, mahn, the girl dey annoy! Chei,  her attitude, her comments, the way she talks, walks, everything just annoys me !!! I hope she doesn't win hoh this week and is nominated. She is irritating.

Well, these are the only people I have something to say about, the others have done nothing to make me impressed or irritated YET! tongue

nairafan:

So do you mean when it was said to Thami is was not harsh? It is harsh for anyone to say such to other human being FULL STOP.

Eerybody who has mentally or physically challenged children cry in their hearts. I do. I have one. We do not want our children to be made punchbags just as you so called mentally and physically "perfects" wouldn't want to be.

And who said, Uti would mind being called a retard. I don't think he would mind as long as it is said in a jocularly manner, after all, he has been called that in the house already and he didn't take offence in it. Besides, Uti didn't curse Thami's children.

Why are you only having problems with Uti calling someone a retard. I have heard housemates calling other housemates mad, crazy, idiot, fool, stupid, dumass etc in that house, do you think that there aren't viewers with mad people in their family? Let's not bring sentiment into this, the housemates are just joking with themselves. If you take offence in their use of words, there are other channels you can watch.

Can Someone tell me why Lampard won the best midfielder award last night? Even if it had to be a Chelsea player, I strongly believe it should have been Essien. Fabregas was actually better than both of them combined in last season's UEFA but the fact that he did not reach the finals might have dented his chances.

@Cesc04
That would have probably been a better line-up except for one thing, I'm not convinced Wilshere is ready to start a premier league game yet undecided, he should gradually be introduced from the bench and if he proves himself, he will get a place in the Starting line-up. cool

Arsene Wenger has become so sentimental towards Eboue that Sometimes I think they live inthe same house. First Eboue was a RB, then he was moved to RW and then to DM all just because Wenger likes him so much. I think Wenger should leave Eboue on the right undecided, Walcott is much more better as an impact player that comes off the bench, from his recent games, he is clearly not ready to be in the Arsenal starting line-up. Vela wasn't on the bench because he was in mexico, he'll only be getting back on Friday.

If Eboue plays as DM this wednesday against TWENTE, I'll be convinced that there's something going on between him and AW. cheesy grin cheesy grin

Hannibal:

@ Debosky,

Why are u guys moaning like puppies lacking breast-milk. . . .
It's still early days. . . . . .Would Arsenal stay in their current position on the league table come december?? HELL NO.
Why are y'all Gaynners fidgeting and blaming Arsene. . . . .Teams are not settled yet and they won't be until october.
For now, it's just handbags. . . . . As long as u can stay within 5 points of the league leaders. . . . Things would shape out fyne.

I for one has been an arsenal fan for years and have never blamed AW until during and after the fulham game. The thing is I watched Nasri in Marseille last season and he played most games in central midfield so what is he doing on the left? Before anybody even had an idea that Hleb will be leaving Arsenal, we were talking of a replacement for the injury-prone Rozzi. Hleb left and he replaced him with Nasri but did nothing to bring someone that can replace Rosicky. Flamini went and till today, there hasn't been a replacement. Instead, he chooses to play his Son(Eboue) and he wants to compete against the likes of Chelsea. If he doesn't bring an experienced midfielder in, I am sorry to say, but we are finished.

Wenger has one of the greatest football minds no doubt. But he is trying so hard to force players in positions they cannot play in because he doesn't want to spend money.

So tell me something, Why won't we blame Wenger?

Now this will be the first time I will criticize Wenger, Our midfield combination was so pathetic in the fulham game, Why on earth did he have Eboue on that pitch when Song was there. What nonsense? He and Denilson just kept losing the ball as if thats what they are paid to do, no through balls to the strikers nothing!!!!!! angry It would have been much better if he played Nasri in the fabregas position, Song as DM , RVP as RW and Bendtner upfront with Adebayor. He better buy a quality DM before our next premier league. Whats all this Eboue Nonsense, Is he his son?

Watever happened to Wenger's stupid philosophy of no players above 30?? or was he desperate to just land anybody seeing that the transfer window is almost winding up ??. . . grin

lmao

When did Wenger tell you that he will never buy a player above 30? Too many newspaper rumours, I see.

It wasn't 8 Million Pounds, it was actually 700 thousand Pounds.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Olumide7(m): 1:14pm On Aug 21, 2008
This is our last signing before the transfer window closes on August 31. AW promised to make at most one more signing and this is it. Is it a good signing? Well, only time will tell. But in my opinion, I believe its a goog signing. Firstly, the experience he has will be of good value to the squad both on and off the pitch. wink  I always believed that Wenger would opt for age with experience in his signing and he did just that.

Having watched Song in the Olympics, i believe there's absolutely no reason to buy a defensive Midfielder if we really want to develop the youngsters. Kolo might be pushed upfront to DM and Sylvestre takes his place in CB. I believe that will solve our DM problems. And let's not forget that we have the likes of Denilson, Ramsey and Song to deputise.
wink

Though this won't be the real revenge but it will surely be a step towards the real deal. I've watched 2 of CIV's games and to say the least they haven't been as impressive as Nigeria has been but I'm sure that will up their game against Nigeria. Guess why? Because its Nigeria. And I know Nigeria will not be sleeping in that game. It's sure going to be a cracker!! Hopefully we beat them and progress to the Semi-finals where we'll probable meet Brazil, I'm looking forward to that one already.

I believe Nigeria will be playing in the finals possibly against Argentina. Many of you will remember the 1996 olympics when we played Brazil in the semi-final and Argentina in the final. Hopefully this year will be the same.

Why is Siasia complaining about the boys not finishing up-front? How can they when there were 2 lethal strikers on the bench. At least, Anichebe should have started that game in order to have more fire power upfront. The wings did all they could as instructed by Siasia to make sure more attack comes from the wings. I hope he starts Anichebe in place of Promise. I believe the attack would surely be much more powerful that way. So far the guys that have impressed me in the team has been Okonkwo, Okoronkwo, Nsofor, Ogbuke(Obasi).

It seems Arsenal is now interested in Xabi Alonso .
Amaury Biscoff has already signed for Arsenal He will be unveiled as an Arsenal player once UEFA decide how much compensation we will have to pay Werder Bremen. That makes it 3 players that Arsenal has bought, all midfielders, all we need now is one Striker and one defender.

Xabi Alonso will definitely be a good replacement for Matthieu and Berti. In my opinion, it would be better to go for Alonso than for Barry.

Sports / Eto'o: "I'll Leave Barca If We Don't Win" by Olumide7(m): 7:50am On Apr 21, 2008

Eto'o: I'll Leave If We Don't Win

Samuel Eto'o has fired a sensational warning ahead of the Champions League clash with Manchester United, declaring that he will leave if he does not win a title with Barcelona next season.

Win Or Bust

The Cameroon international has been one of the few star players along with Lionel Messi not said to be unsettled at the club, but threw himself into the transfer window by suggesting very clearly that he is getting frustrated.

"If next year we continue like this year, yes," he said, responding to a question on whether he could also leave Barcelona. "I want to win titles, and if I can't win them here, I will win them at another club."

Elaborating further, Eto'o affirmed that if this were to happen, he wouldn't play for another Spanish club, as he believes he has achieved all he has to in the country.

“But in Spain my cycle has finished. I have touched the ceiling in Barcelona so if I leave I will go abroad to another league."

The Cameroon internationa has recently attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, although clubs from Italy have also come into the picture.

United Favourites But,

In relation to their Champions League semi-final showdown with Manchester United, Eto'o believes Barcelona can overturn the form book that makes Manchester United the favourites.

"Manchester [United] are the favourites. But we always have to wait and see what happens in these types of matches. It is an extra motivation with them being the favourites," he said.

"At Barca we can't say we have won many European Cups. Being able to win it for a third time should do a lot to motivate us. I am sure we will win and go through to the final in Moscow.”

He admitted, though, that the current dip in form was something that could not be explained: “What has caused this dip in form? I ask myself that question. Football reflects life. Sometimes things happen to you that you cannot explain.

“With all the players we have we draw or lose some games without understanding why. There is no explanation."

Europe Is Different

“In the Champions League, though, we feel well," he continued. Indeed Barcelona are as yet unbeaten, with six wins and two draws, and having scored 18 and let in just five. "We’re just three games away from being able to lift the trophy with the big ears.

“It’s the game of the season for us. We have also recovered a key player in Messi but he alone cannot win the game. All of us must play well. We don’t fear United. We have respect for them - as I hope they do for us."

Finally, he made it clear that Barcelona had to worry most of all about themselves: “Before any other team our problem is Barca itself. If we play at our level we will give them problems. We’re in the semi-finals of the Champions League and there’s no bigger motivation than that.”

What do you think?

sin2x-sin x - 2=0

(sin x - 2)(sin x +1) = 0

sin x - 2 =0 ; sin x + 1=0

sin x = 2 invalid

sin x = -1

Is there any value of x in the given interval that satisfies the equation ?

after sloving the equation x = -pi/2 which is not in the given interval.
Education / Re: Algebra Cafe: Solve Math Problems Here by Olumide7(m): 6:32am On Apr 16, 2008
5x=2x.2

divide both sides by 2x

5x/2x=2

(5/2)x=2

ln both sides

ln(5/2)x=ln 2

x ln (5/2) = ln 2

x= ln2/ln(5/2)

ln(x2-9)=2

x2-9=e2

x2=16.4

x=+-4 approx.

I see u used the ratio test, How did u arrive at that answer? Did u skip any steps? and I don't think the ratio test can be used in this case. Well, your solution is not convincing enough.

and for the record this is a sequence not a series. Ratio tests can only be used for series
