Politics / Only The Wicked, Mislead And Criminals Voted For Jonathan (Do You Agree?) by oluvick(m): 11:31pm On May 19, 2015
In 2004 when George W. Bush junior, who had called an
illegal war against Iraq, propelled by exposed lies, won the
US presidential (re)elections; Daily Mirror UK was not
abashed to immediately call-out the conscience rejects who
voted for Bush’s second term. The magazine came out with
the caption, “ How Can 59,054,087 People Be So Dumb?”
Nigeria’s case was called even before the elections. Nobel
laureate, Wole Soyinka put it aptly (allegedly), when he said:
“Only four sets of people can vote for the PDP: (1) Those
who are intellectually blind, (2) those who are blinded by
ethnicity, (3) those who are blinded by corruption and
therefore afraid of the unknown, should power change
hands, & (4) those who are suffering from a combination
of the above terminal sicknesses."

It was so before the elections set for February
14 2015. It remained so before the fraudulently
postponed elections were later held April 28 2015 and it
remains so, ever more so, after, with the revelations about
gross squandering of Nigeria’s common wealth and the
preparation for transfer of a nation so indebted it cannot
afford to pay its workers salaries.

12.85 million votes were recorded for the wicked. Now, do
not get it twisted; we do not believe the PDP/Jonathan
scored these 12.85 million votes. More than half were
made-up, rigged as we now see with Akwa Ibom and
Rivers state where almost a million votes a piece were
manufactured in the gubernatorial elections, over the
accredited votes as INEC instruments reveal. So we do
know that in the alleged PDP states, votes of millions of
good people were tossed in the trash as fake ballots
numbers were made up; but still the numbers of misled and
wicked voters is quite uncomfortable across certain states
in Nigeria.

These people (who include the likes of Nuhu Ribadu and his
ilk in Adamawa, so do not think it is limited to regions),
voted for a murderer of my brothers and sisters. These
people voted for a thief who has confessed to be a thief
and protector of thieves. There is no question with the
election associated successful last minute (6-week war)
campaign against Boko Haram, that these (Boko Haram)
murderers who freely unleashed a pogrom on the people of
Borno and Adamawa were tolerated for 6 years by
Jonathan. Those who voted for him voted for the killers of
innocent Kanuris and abductors of Chibok’s princesses.
What type of wicked or confused people are these who
would do such?

What type of people will vote for a ruler and party that
have led Nigeria for 16 years (30 if Babangida, PDP
patron’s military rule is included) who have led us to a
state where we are so broke we have to borrow to pay
worker salaries and borrow to keep up with legislators
raking in 30% of our income? Only very wicked, very
misled or very criminal people will vote for such a wicked
choice.

Now do not get it twisted. You do not have to vote for
Buhari. Those who read my writings know that I initially
supported the candidacy of the younger Kwankwaso and
was a fervent red cap revolutionist , before the wise,
elderly Buhari won the primaries, however if you decide not
to vote Buhari, that is fair enough, you can abstain from
voting then, but to put thumb down for Jonathan; you are
evil, misled or criminal and there is no mincing words about
that.

This is not a game. It is not some politics game as the
colonialist tries to teach you where everyone has a say and
choice and no one is evil for exercising his democratic
constitutional rights; No! This is registered evil. To put
thumb down for a man who today confesses that he is a
criminal, blaming his friends and advisers, and expects to
be killed for his robbery; to put ink on thumb for a man
who we now all see stole the nation’s billions of dollars to
pay for his personal presidential campaign; who lied about
Boko Haram and allowed the murder, rape and abduction of
thousands and displacement of millions. To vote a
kakistocrat who with his party supervised terror of Boko,
MEND Ombatse (who the Fulani’s had to help us get rid of
after Jonathan tolerated them even after they killed police
families), who supervised oil theft and pollution destroying
the entire Niger Delta irreparably; who pays terrorists to
“protect” oil lines…voting for such a man/Party is evil and
in excusable. I am reading the lying Aribisala who falsely
claims Buhari promised to make Dollar: Naira 1:1, I am
reading Chidiebere’s “Cry not for the Igbos (2),” where he
shamelessly stands by the evil of voting for a self
confessed clueless thief. The Bible says of them: “Whoso
is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he
heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not .” –
Proverbs 19:24.

As I have said in the past, you must apologize to your
neighbor and repent to God if you voted for Jonathan and
the PDP. It is sickening to live with such people; I wish
they could carve out their own planet to live with
Jonathan as their king upon.

Politics / Chibok Girls Held In Bunkers – Shettima by oluvick(m): 10:35pm On May 19, 2015
ABUJA – Borno State governor, Kassim Shettima, Tuesday,
said there was every tendency that the female students of
Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, abducted by
members of the Boko Haram sect, in April 2014, were being
held in bunkers, inside Sambisa Forest.

To this end, he has asked the military, which is combing the
forest not only to fish out members of the sect but to also
liberate the over 200 girls to carry their assignment beyond
surface earth.

Shettima, spoke in Abuja, while presenting a paper at a two-
day post election conference on security and governance,
organized by the Savanna Centre, a Non Governmental
Organisation, NGO, established by former Permanent
Representative to the United Nations, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari
.
The governor, who was represented at the occasion by the
Secretary, Borno Elders Forum, Dr Bulama Mala Gubio, said
the dreaded sect, having operated in the large expanse of the
forest for so many years unchallenged, were able to build a
bunker, large enough to accommodate many people in the
area.

“We are suspecting that Chibok girls are living with the
insurgents in bunkers, I think the military must carry out
their operations beyond the surface earth,” he insisted.
“They (Boko Haram) were also known to have dug tunnels to
enable them move from house to house. So, having been left
unchallenged for such a long time, such possibilities cannot be
ruled out which poses serious obstacles within the forest,
“the governor added.

Speaking further, Shettima said: “The insurgents used their
bases in the Sambisa Forest to launch deadly attacks and
make quick retreat to their base which enabled them capture
and take over control of all the local government areas
bordering Nigeria with Cameroon, Chad and Niger, thus
effectively cutting off the three neighbouring countries
thereby declaring what they assumed was their their
independent territory (caliphate).”

The governor also said unless Sambisa Forest was completely
and effectively rid off of the terrorists by the military, any
reconstruction and rehabilitation carried out in the North East
region would be exercise in futility.

Politics / Jonathan Turns Down PDP BoT Chairman Offer by oluvick(m): 2:37pm On May 18, 2015
Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the
offer of becoming the Chairman of the Board of
Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
at the end of his tenure, reports Tribune.

Members of the party’s National Working Committee
(NWC), national caucus, BoT members, National
Executive Committee (NEC) and some elders of the
party have been putting pressure on Jonathan to
accept the offer.

The party leaders have wanted him to occupy the
position as a mark of honour and for his contributions
to the party .

Jonathan in rejecting the offer told the party leaders
that he needed some rest before he would probably
return into active politics.

Tony Anenih is the current Chairman of the BOT of
the party.

Politics / My Wife Wasn’t A Model — Oshiomole by oluvick(m): 9:10am On May 18, 2015
BENIN—GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has said
that his new wife, Iara, was not a model professionally,
although she is a model to him. He, meanwhile, said his new
wife was not a replacement for his late wife, Clara, whom
he said was irreplaceable.

Speaking at a thanksgiving Mass at the Immaculate
Conception Cathedral, Auchi, yesterday, Oshiomhole denied
reports that his wife is a ‘top model,’ saying the speculation
might have been generated from her poise and beauty.

He said: “When I read newspaper stories and they said that I
married a top model, I felt maybe they were referring to
another person.

“The lady that God has directed to my path and heart to
marry is not and was not a model. Of course, she looks
beautiful and I understand that is why people assume that
this kind of a lady must be a model. But, of course, she is a
model to me and we hope and pray that we will be models in
the eyes of our God and I think that is the most important
thing.”

Governor Oshiomhole appealed to the congregation to keep
supporting him and his new wife in prayer, saying: “I ask you
to please continue to pray for us. It is not easy. I lost my
first wife and it is not possible to replace her. Yes, I have
married another but it is not a replacement.”

else could have cracked such a joke better than Alibaba

The comedian joked about the energy put by Gov. Oshiomole in
kissing his newly wedded wife, Iara Fortes on Friday after
their wedding.

Clearly Gov. is an old school man through and through who
believes in the art of possession, even if its the lips.

Politics / Friends Deserted Me – Jonathan by oluvick(m): 6:42pm On May 10, 2015
Outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan said Sunday that some
of his friends deserted him shortly after he conceded defeat
to his rival General Muhammadu Buhari in the March election.
Jonathan publicly conceded defeat to Buhari on March 31, a
decision which was commended by local and foreign
commentators and doused tension in the country.

“Some hard decisions have their own costs. No doubt about
that. It is a very costly decision but I must be very ready to
pay for it,” Jonathan said during a farewell church service in
Abuja.

Jonathan’s public admission of defeat in the nail-biting
election came more than six hours after he rang Buhari to
concede, earning him widespread praise for statesmanship.
“If you take certain decisions, you should know that people
close to you will even abandon you at some point. I tell people
that more of my so-called friends will disappear.”

Many party faithful and erstwhile loyalists of Jonathan have
either crossed over to Buhari’s All Progressives Congress or
made harsh statements against Jonathan’s party or its
leaders.

Jonathan said he was not surprised by the desertions or
statements by his former loyalists, adding that former South
African president Frederik de Klerk faced a similar situation
when he decided to abolish minority rule in that country.
Jonathan said that de Klerk’s marriage to his wife, Marike,
broke down after he took that decision.

“But that is the only decision that made South Africa to still
be a global player. If by this time w still have minority rule in
South africa, nobody would have been talking about South
Africa in the present generation,” he said.

He said that ministers who served under him should brace
themselves for “persecution” following his loss and his decision
to concede defeat.

Buhari, a former military leader, is scheduled to be sworn into
office on May 29..

Politics / 2015 Elections: I Hope Patience Will Not Divorce Me – Jonathan by oluvick(m): 6:35pm On May 10, 2015
– President Goodluck Jonathan, Sunday, expressed
fears that his wife might divorce him because of his decision
to allow the just concluded election go on to its logical
conclusion without interference.

Speaking at a thanksgiving and farewell service in his honour
at the Cathedral Church of the Advent Life-Camp,
Gwarinpa, Abuja, President Jonathan cited the case of the
former South African Apartheid leader, F.W de Klerk whose
wife divorced him for ending minority rule in South Africa.

President Jonathan who expressed appreciation to Nigerians
for giving him the opportunity to serve at various capacities
reiterated his willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice in the
interest of the Nation.

He said: “I believe there are reasons for everything. Some
hard decisions have their own cost. That I have ran the
government this way that stabilized certain things, the
electoral process and other things that brought stability into
this country. They were very costly decisions which I must be
ready to pay for.

“Some people come to me and say this or that person, is he
not your friend? Is it not your government that this person
benefited from? But this is what the person is saying. But I
used to say, worse statements will come. If you take certain
decisions, you should know that those close to you will even
abandon you at some point. And I tell them that more of my
so-called friends will disappear. When F.W de Klerk took the
decision to abolish minority rule in RSA, even his wife

divorced him. I hope my wife will not divorce me. But that is
the only decision that has made RSA to still remain a global
player. If we still had minority rule there, by this time,
nobody will be talking about RSA.

“If you take certain decisions, it might be good for the
generality of the people but it might affect people
differently. So for ministers and aides who served with me, I
sympathize with them, they will be persecuted. And they
must be ready for that persecution” he said.

While expressing appreciation to God for what he has done
for him and his family, President Jonathan said he had all the
reason to thank God.

“Very few of those in my age brackets have been that lucky.
All through my education were on government scholarships.
I have not suffered lack, not because I’m hard-working but
by God’s grace.

“When I look at the whole picture of my life up to when I
became the president of this country. I say that if soldiers
and police officers that have not received 0.5 per cent of
the benefits that I have received from the state can lay
their lives for this country, I should do anything in the
interest of Nigeria including paying the supreme price.
“As long as live, I will continue to do my best for the state
because the state has helped me as a person.

“I have to thank Nigerians especially, my state for giving me
the opportunity to serve as deputy governor, and the whole
country gave me the opportunity to serve as Vice President
and then President, first was to complete the tenure of the
late president and later serve as president from which I am
exiting now as a very happy and fulfilled man”.

Speaking on his decision to concede defeat which he said did
not go down well with some of his ministers and associates,
President Jonathan noted that the most important thing is
that “the ordinary people appreciate what we did.”
