Cecilia Westbrook, who is a MD/PhD student at University of Wisconsin, made the connection that the lactobacillus which is found in healthy vagina are the same bacteria that is found in yogurt. So she extracted some from her own vagina with a wooden spoon and proceeded to make her own yogurt using milk and the vaginal bacteria. Westbrook tasted the yogurt and said it had a sour taste like Indian yogurt and it was good paired with blueberries. She said she had two bowls and has not had any bad after effects. Although the U.S. Federal Drug Administration’s Center for Food Safety has commented that vaginal secretions are not meant to be digested and can transmit many diseases. Those quoting me as saying that ‘stealing is not corruption’ have not said that the President said stealing is good. Thieves should be treated as thieves. Do not use the word ‘corruption’ to cover so many things. 4. Now that we are working with Chad, I believe that in the next few weeks the story of the Chibok girls will get better. 5. I am not God, but I am more hopeful now than before in terms of combing the whole areas. 6. We are working with our neighbours and we will comb the whole of that area. Just give us some time. 7. I did not go dancing after kidnap of Chibok Girls. 8. Most presidents will tell you that it is more difficult for the 2nd election (re-election). 9. If INEC conducts this election poorly, it is on my head. 10. I have not told anybody that I want to remove Jega. I have never said so. 11. A number of people tell me the messages from my team are confusing. 12. One thing about politics, leadership generally, you have a nos of people who support you but you don’t know what they say. 13. There is no hiding place for the Boko Haram again, As we are talking, only Madagali is remaining (under Boko Haram). 14. In Yobe, two local governments are affected and in the next couple of weeks we will take them over. 15. In Borno State, we have 10 to 12 LGs under Boko Haram. The issue of security is beyond Boko Haram. 16. Politicians are instigating some young people to act in ways not expected. 17. Several countries of the world have one problem or the other 18. The issue of PVC interests me most. Before 2011 Nigerians were not talking about Voter’s Card. 19. I was already in my village when INEC announced the postponement. I don’t decide date for election, INEC must work with security agencies. 20. Election is like any tournament, FIFA says March, later say April or May. The winning team will still win. We must not put money where people can take it, like we did with in agriculture with fertiliser. 26. Boko Haram is faceless. When the Niger Delta militants were pressing their needs they met with the president. 27. APC started their campaign before me. They visited like 4 states before PDP started. 28. I don’t have the time for social media. 29. I appointed INEC chairman and the RECs and I know that they will do the job. 30. Afrobeat star and late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s son, Seun, has explained why he would not vote this year. He also opened up on the only condition under which he would forgive Buhari for locking his father up. In an interview with the Nation Newspapers, he said “No, I don’t have my PVC because I decided already long time ago, even before the candidates were chosen, that the election is the politician’s elections still. I’m not going to vote. And I’ve been proven correct. I’m happy that so many people in Nigeria today want to be involved in the democratic process of this country. It is a big development in our democratic development. “And so many people want to also cast protest votes this year protest against how the country has been run by the present administration and I understand. And I support it as well. But the truth about it is that I believe that I am very politically mature. And for me to cast my vote, whoever I vote for has to represent my aspirations. I won’t just cast a protest vote in as much as a protest vote is needed in this forthcoming election. “The candidate that is brought forward as well is someone that I believe is not in the good books of the Kuti family. And my family, we’re very united in our views about civic responsibility and human rights. “And retired General Buhari has trampled on the rights of my family when he jailed my father, illegally for that matter. And Fela was innocent. This is why it would be difficult for me to say I want to vote for Buhari. “Maybe if Buhari wins and becomes president, then I can forgive him if he begins to do to Nigerians what Fela would have liked for Nigerians because maybe if Buhari becomes president and he suddenly becomes pro-people, developing Nigeria from the ground-up, things that I know would have made my father happy, and he is bring Nigeria up yeah. Definitely, I would understand that even if Fela were alive and Fela sees Nigeria going forward like this, he would speak in favour of the man. But so far, I can’t betray my father based on some promises and some words. So, that is why I’m not voting for him,” he said. ynaija.com/i-can-only-forgive-buhari-on-one-condition-seun-kuti/ |

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has replaced his erstwhile close friend and business associate, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor as the arrowhead of his re-election campaign among Nigerian Christians, reports NewsDay. In his stead, President Jonathan has settled for President of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo. Jonathan believes Oyedepo’s church with with over 4 million members is of more political asset than Oritsejafor, who many believe has lost his political value due to the numerous scandals around him. Aside Oyedepo, President Jonathan has also enlisted the support of popular pastors like Paul Enenche, Paul Adefarasin, Uma Ukpa The thinking in the presidency is that President Jonathan can draw from the goodwill of these pastors to ensure that Christians vote for him in the February 14 presidential election. Olusegun Mimiko, governor of the Ondo state, has urged citizens not to vote for the changes that will stop the projects of what the current president, Jonathan, has started, reports Naij. Reports suggest that Mimiko issued a warning saying that people voting should not vote based on their feeling however, based on the continuity of the ruling party, as they have started something that needs to be carried through. He urged citizens not to be deceived by retrogressive change, as he argues that the All Progressives Congress’ Buhari lacks the ability to rule in a 21st century government. He asked supporters to vote for Jonathan who, he claims, guarantee development. Although PDP members seems to be supporting and agreeing with the governor, as many have pledged to follow the ruling administration, more PDP members have been reported to have left the party. We are ready to take our chances on that. He has already promised bloodshed if he lost the election. Buhari can bring down hailstones if he so desire. I pitch my tent with GEJ. Can't afford to be ruled by an illiterate. |

Mike Ahamba, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and lawyer to the All progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has decamped from the opposition party to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). His official statement of defection was made public on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Ahamba revealed that hen decided to dump the APC because the party was bedeviled with much dishonesty and absence of transparency, further availing that the sitting governors who joined the party (APC) were invited over for the sole aim of siphoning their state funds for the electioneering campaigns. Read the full text of Ahamba’s statement below: My brothers, sisters, friends and supporters, I salute you. It is a fact now self-evident that I am involved in a political re-alignment and movement that has necessarily resulted in my return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of which I was a pioneer member, having abandoned the sinking APC political ship which has proved soon to be a political ‘Titanic’. The merger of three national political parties, a first in the history of Nigeria, had been full of hope with promises of change. But the center could not hold, things have fallen apart, and no one in the party is at ease any longer? Brethren, I have bailed out of that ship because I find myself unable to continue with membership of a party which (a) places preferred runners in a 100 metres race at the sixtieth metre point in a supposed democratic setting leaving others at the starting blocks, (b) has not published its manifesto after more than eight ( months of existence, therebykeeping its membership and the polity in a blindfold as to its true objectives, (c) has not been able to set up elected administrative structures at any level more than eight months after registration but, instead, is developing a sit-tight syndrome in the interim officers, (d) invites governors into its fold for the purpose of using them to secure funds for election purposes, which funds would naturally be the product of looting of the respective state treasuries, (e) has manifested lack of concern for the well being of the generality of the society, particularly the less privileged, by directing its members in the National Assembly to block the national budget, a directive that could never be justified, to mention a few reasons, I have therefore opted to return to my original political platform the PDP which till date has not be parochialised either ethnically or religiously. I firmly believe that this platform is, in the Nigerian situation, the best avenue of political service to my people and the nation at large. I assure my numerous supporters and admirers that change of platform will not transform into a change of the personality you ever admired in me, and crave your understanding and support. I remain committed to justice to all, at all times, at all cost. As I declare my membership of the PDP on Saturday 22nd February, 2014 my major request of you is your earnest prayers for me to continue to be who I have been. May I also request your support in welcoming Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to this epoc event. In God I trust. God bless you all, and our Great country. Chief Mike Ikenna Ahamba KSC, SAN. |

Abuja - The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) has tapes of terrorist attacks on innocent Nigerians in its possession. In a statement, PDP said the rival party planned to air it to achieve its "selfish purpose" using the tapes. “Indeed, upon the release of the tapes, the APC must explain to Nigerians how it got hold of them. We ask, is the APC working in collaboration with terrorist cells, who have been unleashing violence against innocent citizens of our dear nation," the ruling party said. "Are these the same terrorist groups that earlier nominated the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari to represent them in the dialogue between them and the Federal Government, it added. It said Nigerians should be worried over the connections the APC might have with insurgent groups especially coming on the heels of recent support expressed to their presidential candidate by the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND). “We wish to clarify that this is not an attack on the APC as a party but rather a serious issue that boarders on national security. "We therefore call on all Nigerians and lovers of democracy to note this as the APC embarks on a campaign to attempt to gain directly from the security challenges facing our nation,” PDP said. Thousands have died in recent years as a result of terror perpetrated by the Boko Haram. - CAJ News |
“The sixteen years of PDP have been hell. Remember that we use to have Nigeria Airways, Nigeria Railways, Nigeria Shipping Line. Try and find out how much we spent on power in the last 16 years from the vast resources we accumulated over that period because the price of oil went up to 142 dollars per barrel. Buhari is high on 150 cow dung. Which of the things he mentioned has he contributed to? He even killed railway in Nigeria. |
My God! When has my town degenerated to this level. I live in calabar but I am from Iju town. Just like the king had rightly said, this has never ever happened before. Sad. Modified: just spoke with my dad. He said they were killed, drained but not beheaded. However it is, it is bad. |
