I'd advise that you edit the application if possible. If you begin another application, I hope it won't restrict the amount that you will be entitled to. My wife had a similar experience just about 2 weeks ago when her application for 2k USD was rejected because she didn't upload a certain document. Unfortunately she was only allowed on the CBN portal to apply for a 2K again when she filled another application despite the fact thst she had changed her mind and was willing to apply for the maximum 4k. askarachi: |

Good evening all. Please how much does it cost to use the TLS centre in victoria Island? I already chose Ikeja for my Biometrics. Unfortunately, it appears that there are no regular appointments available in Ikeja. So, I am considering the possibility of canceling my application and choosing V.Island. I'd appreciate any advice/insight. |

Good afternoon great people of Nairaland. Please I have a quick question and would appreciate if anyone with a similar experience can respond. While filling my application form, one of the questions asks if you have any family in the UK and then goes on to list what this includes. I find that siblings aren't listed as one if the options (see photo). I suppose that this means that my response will be "no".

Good evening everyone. I just received my CAS which is long overdue. I intend submitting my application over the weekend but will appreciate a few clarifications. My CAS document bears two addresses; 1. A " formal sponsors address " and 2. "Main site of study address" I wonder which is more appropriate to use in my application as I do not have a current address in the UK. My other question pertains to funds. I have a full scholarship paid and I wonder if I can upload my personal accounts along with the scholarship award letter or do you think just the award letter (which covers everything) will suffice? I look forward to your guidance. |

Bukunmi93: You are advised to use the exchange rate as quoted on the Oanda site i.e. https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/ You should also factor in possible fluctuations in exchange rate. It appears that by using a rate of N600, you have already put all of these in consideration. I wish you all the best. 1 Like |

There is no specific criteria for how long you should stay under this circumstance. Generally, you shouldn't stay more than 6 months in a country but if you have followed this thread, you will realise that people who have stayed upto 3 or 4 months seem to have been queried at times of reapplying. This is reasonable if you claim to have a job knowing that most employers will only allow a one month leave. I would advise a maximum 3 to 4 week stay. JWhite2Deep: |

If you read through this platform/thread very carefully, you will realise that the use of agents for tour application os STRONGLY discouraged!!! Agents seem to have done more harm by good and will often misrepresent their clients. You stand a risk of being banned or even prosecuted (ideally) if you choose to go this route. If you have 420k to give an agent I'll advise you save your money rather than spend so much and still have regrets. Ocon: 3 Likes |

Why will a MOTHER visiting the US for the first time say she is attending a retreat in the US while she has a daughter who lives in the US and doesn't intend to visit the daughter. Does it make sense? Or you attend a visa interview with your daughter wearing a crown having won a beauty peagent; smirks of desperation! 3 Likes 1 Share |

peacengine: Several things determine who gets a visa and who doesn't including honesty. Honesty is very key, the moment you begin to tell lies, for someone who is trained in the art, they almost can tell. Moreover, you tell a lie, you have ti keep fabricating more lies to cover your previous lie. The two times i have had to attend an interview, even i could tell who will likely get a visa and who wouldn't from the pattern of the interviews. The first time i attended a us visa interview, i had recently been denied French and UK visas in the preceding 2 months and still got issued the visa. |

Kolajayy01: Why take a very expensive risk by misrepresnting yourself. Consider the consequences of telling lies, including a ban. IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO SAY THE TRUTH!! |

You either keep calling or you visit the bank physically. On the other hand, you can login to your account online and save/print a copy of the receipt (this is possible woth GTBank, I'm not sure how this works with other banks). [Aquote author=Mrbigman1 post=75032119]Pls, I applied for a B1 visa and when filling my visa appointment form I paid with a MasterCard and since I was doing it alone and blindly I didn’t copy my receipt number as I didn’t know I will use it for next step. I have provided feedback and they said I should call my bank for the number and I have been calling and no picking. Pls how do I re-generate this? I need to go for interview as soon as possible. Thanks
|

If this was how your interview went, it's obvious you didn't engage the VO. It's therefore unlikely that you would have been able to convince him/her about the purpose of your intended visit. [ quote author=Kamsiboy post=74891874]Hello All,pls I need an advice where we went wrong. Our interview was two days ago. Vo: Good morning Hubby and I: Good morning Sir Vo:why are you going to US. Hubby:I am going on vacation. Vo: Do you have relatives in US. Hubby:yes. Vo:are you visiting him Hubby:No. Vo:where are the interesting place to visit. Hubby: Chinese garden. Vo: sorry and issue us a blue paper.

Very well said. I think many people can tell even before hand whether they stand a chance or not. It's sad when people apply for US visas because they want to "try their luck". thesecretplace: 1 Like |

In my opinion i believe the fact that you are travelling without your family is a plus. Yes, i admit that that your income may be low, just about $500, do you jave other streams of income, any other savings, what is the nature of your job? All of these will be put into consideration. In the ends, thr decision is multifactorial and lies with the VO. justwise: 1 Like |

Hope you know that your payment receipt is valid onky for one year. If you wait till you choose a date and this "fog" doesn't clear, one can onky hope that you wont have difficulty finding a date when you decide to book your appointment[qauote author=Vuitton007 post=74602185] Omobendel24 u were right! Awhile back, my profile updated into askin me to schedule an appointment with dates frm june 21st to july 1st, all for 8.05am. I choose none o, lol, i jus want my passport back safely, i wud do all other planned trips and return to my job first. When the fog in the US is cleared, i will return to schedule for appointment. I would freeze it till like sept/oct to Dec, hope this poses no risk too o and anyone knws how soon my passport gets to me?
|
