Hello everyone,
Please, can one email address be used for two visa applications (dependant children) at the same time?

Thank you.

Yes it can. I used one email for four separate applications. Just ensure that you set up the accounts using different passwords.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by oluwa234: 4:46pm On Feb 16, 2023
I'd advise that you edit the application if possible. If you begin another application, I hope it won't restrict the amount that you will be entitled to. My wife had a similar experience just about 2 weeks ago when her application for 2k USD was rejected because she didn't upload a certain document. Unfortunately she was only allowed on the CBN portal to apply for a 2K again when she filled another application despite the fact thst she had changed her mind and was willing to apply for the maximum 4k.

askarachi:
Guys please I want to make enquiry concerning form A The application is on the ADB_SUPERVISOR stage but the status for the ADV_REVIEWER stage says “Recommended for rejection” due to insufficient funds. The account has now been credited with a sufficient amount. I’ll like to know if this hinders the success of the application. Should I restart the application or go to the bank to let them know I’ve credited the the account ?

A quick response will be very appreciated

Good evening all.

Please how much does it cost to use the TLS centre in victoria Island?
I already chose Ikeja for my Biometrics. Unfortunately, it appears that there are no regular appointments available in Ikeja. So, I am considering the possibility of canceling my application and choosing V.Island.

I'd appreciate any advice/insight.

Negative, technically it means "this includes'' but not limited to. If you have a sister ,type in sister and it should autofill or brother if its a brother .

Thanks a lot. It's better to be safe than sorry. Merci beaucoup

Good afternoon great people of Nairaland.

Please I have a quick question and would appreciate if anyone with a similar experience can respond.

While filling my application form, one of the questions asks if you have any family in the UK and then goes on to list what this includes. I find that siblings aren't listed as one if the options (see photo). I suppose that this means that my response will be "no".

Good evening everyone.
I just received my CAS which is long overdue. I intend submitting my application over the weekend but will appreciate a few clarifications.
My CAS document bears two addresses;
1. A " formal sponsors address "
and
2. "Main site of study address"
I wonder which is more appropriate to use in my application as I do not have a current address in the UK.

My other question pertains to funds. I have a full scholarship paid and I wonder if I can upload my personal accounts along with the scholarship award letter or do you think just the award letter (which covers everything) will suffice?

I look forward to your guidance.

How much in exchange rate should I use for my proof of funds, is 600 safe?

You are advised to use the exchange rate as quoted on the Oanda site i.e. https://www1.oanda.com/currency/converter/

You should also factor in possible fluctuations in exchange rate. It appears that by using a rate of N600, you have already put all of these in consideration.
I wish you all the best.

There is no specific criteria for how long you should stay under this circumstance. Generally, you shouldn't stay more than 6 months in a country but if you have followed this thread, you will realise that people who have stayed upto 3 or 4 months seem to have been queried at times of reapplying. This is reasonable if you claim to have a job knowing that most employers will only allow a one month leave. I would advise a maximum 3 to 4 week stay.

If you read through this platform/thread very carefully, you will realise that the use of agents for tour application os STRONGLY discouraged!!! Agents seem to have done more harm by good and will often misrepresent their clients. You stand a risk of being banned or even prosecuted (ideally) if you choose to go this route. If you have 420k to give an agent I'll advise you save your money rather than spend so much and still have regrets.

Ocon:
Good morning house, please I need your opinion and advice here.
My friend and I wish to leave this country for Canada or US. I suggest we apply for a student visa as we're almost done with NYSC but he's concerned about the money involved (we're both can't afford it and no sponsor). I try to convince him we might be lucky to get a full or half scholarship but he's having non of it.

So yesterday, he took me to an agent who he claimed has successfully gotten Canada and US visa for people. On getting there, the agent said he's going to help us apply for a tourist visa which will be made legal on getting there. He said we will pay an initial amount of 70k and then 350k when the Visa is out.

Now, to my best of knowledge and then information i've gotten from this thread and the US thread. I deduce

1) it's almost impossible to be granted a visiting visa when you've no relatives or any important thing like conference or tour to do over there.

2) With no previous travel history, no landed property, strong ties at home or a fat account statement. Our chances is almost zero.

3) Also learnt that the US and Canada share travel history with each other and I am afraid if we apply for this visa and was eventually denied, won't it raise an issue when I want to apply for a student visa later.

4) I asked the agent all this questions but he replied that he has he ways around all this especially the bank statement and intent. I am afraid of this as I think he might want to forged or probably include false documents in the application.

I try reasoning with my friend but he's not convinced enough and he's hell-bent of going ahead with the agent.

Please is it advisable to go ahead with the agent or I should just apply for the student visa and be hopeful whether I could get a funding.

Thanks...

Keep on putting a lie on top of another!!! What is the date of this child you supposedly have? What if you are asked to present a birth certificate for that child?
ntutu:

Since your agent guffed, he has messed everything up for you. Keep on presenting the very same thing your agent filled for you. That is why it is always good one does the application fillings by himself. USA visa granting is by the grace of God and strong tie back home. Your reasoning of traveling for me is not substantial. I wish you good luck in ur next application which I can see u been favored. Congratulations and goodluck

Why will a MOTHER visiting the US for the first time say she is attending a retreat in the US while she has a daughter who lives in the US and doesn't intend to visit the daughter. Does it make sense?
Or you attend a visa interview with your daughter wearing a crown having won a beauty peagent; smirks of desperation!

Be honest? Those people that maintained in US after obtaining B1/B2 were also honest. If u one advice make una de give better one, honesty doesn't work for US visa just luck and depends on mood of VO

Several things determine who gets a visa and who doesn't including honesty. Honesty is very key, the moment you begin to tell lies, for someone who is trained in the art, they almost can tell. Moreover, you tell a lie, you have ti keep fabricating more lies to cover your previous lie.
The two times i have had to attend an interview, even i could tell who will likely get a visa and who wouldn't from the pattern of the interviews. The first time i attended a us visa interview, i had recently been denied French and UK visas in the preceding 2 months and still got issued the visa.

My visa has expired. I want to go through normal interview. When im filling my form should I indicate I have relatives there or not?? If I say no will they find out if my mom is there?? Won't it affect me?? Please I need answers

Why take a very expensive risk by misrepresnting yourself. Consider the consequences of telling lies, including a ban. IT'S ALWAYS BETTER TO SAY THE TRUTH!!

You either keep calling or you visit the bank physically. On the other hand, you can login to your account online and save/print a copy of the receipt (this is possible woth GTBank, I'm not sure how this works with other banks). [Aquote author=Mrbigman1 post=75032119]Pls, I applied for a B1 visa and when filling my visa appointment form I paid with a MasterCard and since I was doing it alone and blindly I didn’t copy my receipt number as I didn’t know I will use it for next step.

I have provided feedback and they said I should call my bank for the number and I have been calling and no picking.

Pls how do I re-generate this? I need to go for interview as soon as possible.

Thanks [/quote]

If this was how your interview went, it's obvious you didn't engage the VO. It's therefore unlikely that you would have been able to convince him/her about the purpose of your intended visit. [

The case of Medicaid is understandable. What is the rationale behind them frowning at discounts. Even here in Nigeria, people request for discounts from hospitals, pharmacy etc
aye88:

Very enlightening post. But what about those who didn't use Medicaid but got discounts from the hospital cos they are paying cash. That seem to be more if the case now that even Medicaid users. Most of us have been enlightened not to accept Medicaid but the issue now is discounts given by hospitals which the embassy is now frowning at.
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by oluwa234: 7:01am On Jan 18, 2019
Very well said. I think many people can tell even before hand whether they stand a chance or not. It's sad when people apply for US visas because they want to "try their luck".

thesecretplace:
Hi all. Just came across this thread and thought to share my experience.

Based on my background, getting visas was not an issue for me. I had US and UK visas (from student visa to visitors) and when it was time to have my first child, the US was naturally the place to go. When that visa expired and I tried to renew, it became a problem. Found out it was because the bill was not completely cleared (ignorantly accepted Medicaid discounts). I decided it wasn't the end of the world. Went ahead to have the second child in the UK (with upfront bills paid) and requested the outstanding bills from my US hospital. At that time, we couldn't afford to pay everything at once so we put up a payment plan. We thought that would satisfy them at the US embassy so we tried again to renew the visa. Same outcome - a denial. After that, we took the decision to chill and spend our holidays elsewhere - UK, France, UAE, South Africa - we put the US aside until we sorted our issues.

When our bills were fully paid and we had clearance from the hospital, we applied again as a family and were only asked one question - where in the US are you going? To which the answer was DisneyWorld and we got our visas. The lady also said "I note you had a child in the US" (wasn't a question). I responded "yes, would you like to see the receipt?" and she said "no, it's fine". That to me indicated she knew it had been paid. Please note that there was a hiatus period of about 4 years within which we completely stayed away from the US embassy and enjoyed our vacations elsewhere. By the time we went back, we had matured and all had 10 year UK visas, extensive travel history and of course, ties to Nigeria - investments and all. Since then, its been drop box renewals only even with all the current issues (last one as recently as November).

Why am I saying this? If you have been refused based on outstanding bills and all that, please clean it up. Don't keep reapplying hoping it will go away. It won't. Please take a break and sort out the issue (note that even my extensive travel history did not save me from being denied until I cleared up the issue I had with them). If your visa refusal/denial is because you don't have enough ties, go and build those ties. Don't assume they will magically forget why they denied you the first time. Give the place a break for 3 years and go sort out the issues. You will get it one day and you will find that it gets easier from there and you will no longer even require interviews.

In my opinion i believe the fact that you are travelling without your family is a plus. Yes, i admit that that your income may be low, just about $500, do you jave other streams of income, any other savings, what is the nature of your job? All of these will be put into consideration.
In the ends, thr decision is multifactorial and lies with the VO.
justwise:

I will be surprised if you are given a visa, not only because of your salary but for the fact that you are traveling without your wife and kid, even if you want to travel with them you still can not afford that family holiday.

I need to leave for the US in March, but I've read in a lot of places that the chance of getting one's visa approved is now very low. Thanks to Trump.

My case: I just started working for a startup and they'd like me to come over for a month to meet the team and to get a grasp of the business.

My profile right now doesn't look that compelling because I don't have strong ties like being in a marriage.
I don't have any property worth mentioning either and more importantly, I don't have a travel history.

Apart from an invitation letter, what other things should I require of the company?

More importantly, what are my chances of getting my visa approved?

You will be very lucky to get an interview date before March so the earlier you make up your mind and go ahead to apply, the better. All the best
