Usually I don't like complaining, I do believe everyone as felt their impact either negative or positive, I paid for my CV review ...yes oo...can't blame if I wanted a second opinion, although was okay only to find out the file is in PDF..which makes it difficult to edit/copy to .doc file.., ...oboy push CV deliberately, locked the file on PDF...well thank God its not encrypted! .....

They are tall alright but its actually an homonal inbalance as u can see they need the aid of a walking stick.

Some people just spew trash..... And to think everyone's gonna end in the labour market... When they see grad from privates school performing better in the workplace them go open mouth dey wonder....

Just couldn't resist. When I saw the topic on fp and the opening post I was hoping to see a world class cake. Even the cardboard cakes bakers use for display look more attractive . I believe there's room for improvement sha.

Truely Dragnet, SHl and Workforce are tough, but the McKinsey Problem Solving Test PST remains the toughest (especially for first takers) of all aptitude tests I have encountered. Firstly, McK only invites 4.0 GPA+ candidates to sit their test. Interestingly, the average pass rate of these tests is around 8% of any given group. One time at Stanford, 400 candidates with 3.5+ (/4) GPAs sat the PST. Of that number only 6 got an offer. One time at CU, 100 took the test and only 1 dude got an offer. Now if that's not tough, I wonder what is. Also bear in mind they've been ranked as the company with the world's toughest recruitment process- ahead of Google, Rollsroyce and Thoughtworks. You could give the PST a shot if you think you're up to it.

Oboy I wrote that test, it's the hardest ever, for workforce and the rest with a little hardwork and intelligence youlld scale through.

Really i must commend the makeover of my cv...it looks fantastic and well done, my money didn't waste.

For the placement, we just have to wait and see" the taste of the pudding can only be determined by eating it".

Even my 15years sis know's what's up about job hunting, she would @least have informed me, some kids are play-full, even if you punish him, the deed as been done. It shows that one as to be vigilant so as to avoid stories that touch.

I am confused. Do they or don't they have summer schools. Plus do they or don't they leave out the carry overs until you fail them in summer school. I have asked students and staffs. I am not judging the school. It's a nice school. I just think that if I was given the opportunity to attend summer school with or without your school facilities, I think things would have been easier. Federal schools just make shyte hard for peeps. This discussion won't be sweet on a forum. Look for someone that attended OAU or UNILAG or UNN or those major federal schools, sit down and let them tell you the woes and troubles of attending a federal school. Before you can think or even talk about a first class.

After Una go say Una rugged!!!!! Students giving excuse since 1960, the environment not being conducive should motivate one to excel, are there not people who graduated with first class from federal school, no be the same environment.

Well....yes you would...and so would i.

But....in the good old days when our parents were young...a thrid class graduate from any of those unis was guaranteed a civil service job.

Nowadays.....even a first or second class has to do an aptitude test....and he/she may not get the job.

And the private sector would employ a foreigner...or a Nigerian with a foreign degree....to do the job over the regular Nigerian.

And even those grads you like get out...and do a Masters abroad.(Knew one chap who read architecture up to Masters....then went to England to repeat the masters...because he needed to learn up to date Architectural techniques.).

And even my field medicine.....you can't get a job in the lucrative healthcare NGO sector easily without knowing how to use SPSS or EPI-INFO. Which they do not teach in most medical schools(unless things have changed)

Let's face it....we need improved facilities in our universities...among other things. Pretending all is well in our universities because the gifted lecturers are still there(largely because private unis came around much recently)....is not the road forward.And it is either govt pays more money....or you pay more money.

I don't know why this arguments suffices every time, if you need a job after graduate, you'd take app test and interview, then its left for them to prove themselves.

That's why I don't inform peeps which I went to, I am doing so well that some of my colleagues would wonder if i went to a federal school.

The real truth is its the student that determine the grades and and how well he/she would function in the society, some people keep living in a myopic era. #envy would not make a lot of progress be ye humble.

Unilag is one of the few university which offers marketing at Msc level with FT and PT options, hence a lot of competition. however, the FT is less competitive.

Just be ready to fight for the few available spots. Normally less than 10% are admitted from the total lots that applied. A worried stats, i must confess.

One way to overcome this is early prep, hope ure already doing this.
