I used the new portal, on here People have been reporting that the new portal has a shorter timeline. I am not in Canada yet, my sister is though.

My mom does not have any travel history. I combined (merged) files together using I love pdf. All financial document, all employment-related document, all home ties. Just group them. And I used new portal.

please was it the new portal you used in applying? Where did you upload all these documents? Because when I was applying for my Dad there wasn't even a placeholder for invitation letter, the only placeholder I got was Passport, proof of funds and use of representative form. I am wondering if I should raise a webform and attach more documents? It's more than 2 weeks I applied for him and there has been no movement on his file since BIL. Also does your mum have travel history? Because I noticed that those with travel history seem to get PPR fast.

Hi all, please I'm trying to apply for a visit visa for my dad, his organization is sponsoring and they have provided him with mybankstatement, bank reference letter and letter of introduction as documents for proof of funds, but my concern is the amount they are providing is not stated on any of the letters, it just states they are sponsoring him, please can this fly? Also is 5000cad sufficient for a week? Because that's how long I put he will be spending in Canada @Emmafe and other seniors in the house 🙏

I was confused at this point 😕 🫤 because why are you receiving and saying you will send to yourself again then I just assumed they made a mistake in the message. It was not a mistake 😢 😭 😪
Within this period, I checked the application tracker, saw visa number even though my background check was in progress.

I started becoming jittery at this point because of my other upcoming trip. Plus the people that submitted same day with me and a day after me had gotten msgs that their PP had left IRCC after stamping. Checked my status and it was still saying background check in progress🙄

So PP was in transit within Abuja for 1 whole week. The PP must have been tired of trekking 😔

I checked my status on the portal and the application tracker. Application tracker was still saying 'in progress' because background check was in progress. Portal was updated to background completed, but no info on passport being stamped.

I decided to chat VFS on Wed morning July 26. Chatted with Chiamaka, she confirmed that PP was in transit to Lagos VFS. I kept stressing how urgent it was because of my planned trip and it was already almost 3 weeks after submission. I was practically pleading that I can pick it up from anywhere... she insisted I will pick it up in lagos VFS office. 2 mins after our chat, collection mail in Lagos dropped 💃 💃 💃
VFS passport tracker was still showing 'in transit' till I collected the passport.

I just checked the application tracker now (fri 28 July), and the status says 'closed'. It was updated July 26, the day lagos collection mail dropped.
The portal overall status still says 'submitted'.

Other info:
I used the new link for application.
I had US visa.
I applied as a tourist.

Hi all, please I am trying to apply for a visiting visa for my dad on the new portal and after filling the forms it only provides 3 place holders which is National Identity document, funds and travel document/passport. Is it supposed to be just those or am I missing something? There is no place to prove his employment or the fact that he will leave Canada as at when due etc.

Hii, just to be clear External Hordeolum is different from chalazion. External hordeolum is like boil on the lid, there is pain, but since you said it doesn't bother you then it's chalazion.
If it's still soft, you can try warm compress and some antibiotic eye drop, it may resolve on it's own.
If it doesn't, the surgery is not very serious, basically, the doctor will burst it for you but from inside.

I wrote CBT with BC and really enjoyed it!! As for practice material for listening you can try http://www.ieltspractice.com the official British council IELTS course!! The first 2 tests are free trials and from those two you will surely get a hang of how the computer-delivered test looks like. Alternatively on YouTube search for Cambridge IELTS listening, eg Cambridge 12 listening test 2 etc. All the best.

Their numbers hardly ever go through � but they respond to emails on time. Twice I have had to contact them, first to confirm my payment and then to send my candidate number, their number never went through but they replied to my mail within 24 hours.

When I wrote the 1st time outside the country, results were out very early the day it was meant to be out. Everything involving Nigerians must be problematic

I wrote with BC too, my results have been out since Wednesday.

The easiest way I can explain is that this street is behind National ecumenical center(the big golden fancy church). Another landmark is Federal Ministry of Finance.
I suggest you leave early and stop at any of these two stops but Federal Ministry of Finance is closer.

Call them, they'd ask you to send your passport to their email, if you haven't already done that. They'll approve afterwards

I have experienced this before. Usually, they send the confirmation a few days to the exam. I did not receive any confirmation, not even exam number until that day in the exam center. If you do not receive any more information from them, just go to the exam center with your reference number and they will give you your exam number. You are likely to find other candidate with the same issue too.
