Please , I need someone in Canada to respond to this question.
Which is better/ cheaper traveling to Canada, buying your cloths here or leave it when you get there. Someone else told me its a bad idea to buy all your cloths here to Canada, that's it is like taking water to a river 😒

Depends on when you're coming, summer or winter?
Buy in Canada, cheap places like "value village" or "walmart". Or other places doing cheap sales.
But nothing is wasted if you buy few clothes in 9ja, so do half & half if you compare dollar to naira, Instead use the luggage space for dry foods.

Hi, could I please get a photo. I'm interested although it's high to a basement. I'm in Calgary too

Cosdam1:
Hi people, there is a beautiful bright basement suite available. It’s a 1 Bedroom with dining & living area. It has a separate (side) entrance and parking for 1 car. The living area has a Sofa & coffee table. There is a dining table with chairs. The bedroom has a queen-sized mattress. The bathroom is head over shower. The suite is semi furnished- Fridge, Kitchenette with two burner stove (no Oven), microwave, basic dishes, pots/pan and access to laundry.
This basement suite is situated in South West Calgary. There are 2 CT train stations nearby (5 and 10 minutes’ walk), with a couple of bus stops littered around. The Westbrook Mall (housing Walmart, Dollarama, Family Doctor among other Stores and food outlets) and Nicholls (Public) Library are also nearby. There are also a couple of Banks (RBC, Scotia & TD) in the vicinity. Calgary Police Service, Fire Department and a Registry are less than 5 mins away.
This is available for a monthly contribution of CAD 900 inclusive of the following amenities (Internet, water, heating, electricity).
Please note that smoking (of any kind) and pets are not allowed.
The place is available now.
If interested, kindly contact me directly. Thank you.

I got my first taste of the real Canadian cold today. Jesu, it was so cold it started feeling hot. I don't know if that makes sense. Went to a bank nearby and narrowly missed the bus going back home, and had to walk. My gloved hands became stiff, could feel the chill right inside my high bones, the wind right in my face. Ho my God.
I'm wearing two trousers, two gloves tomorrow. And a balaclava.

Sorry oh...go 2 value village or Walmart & buy or winter gear....the cold is going 2be great next week...including face mask...

Welcome bro! You didn't add info on the city you're residing in. That info would help you get customized info relevant to the specific environment you're in not just generic Canada information. May the land favour you. Cheers![/quote]

Thanks for ur response. Chai, so u mean I cant get someone that we share same surname? How will they be able to prove otherwise on that?

No risk, no reward, your brother should get you neighbours or family friends that can help you over there even as he had changed location. His friends haven't

Visit British council In lagos or write them. You've your numbers, give them your details, you are likely going to pay for the extra but it is worth writing again

Please can I add that too
Can it work?

They will ask you to support such claims with payment vouchers or bank statements. So be careful

Hello Iwinosified,

How did you go about this. did you submit the IMM008? or there was no need if there is no change in family circumstances. There is really conflicting information on this

This is just to check if you've kids or so...fill for your spouse if you're married and ignore the rest. Send via DHL to Lagos when you've completed everything

Hello everyone, I'm about to complete my WES application. I will be evaluating my University transcript and ACCA diploma.

I'll like to know how to go about the ACCA diploma evaluation. Will I send the transcript myself or do I have to contact ACCA?

I'll appreciate your response.
Thanks.

You will contact ACCA and make payments for them to send your transcript.... Hold extra cash in case they make you pay for dues and so on

I had to open this account for anonymity
I'm in a dilemma, let me start like this, when i and my husband first got married we did a joint business that fetched us a huge amount of money, the aim was to build a house, when we got the money, he decided to use his' for his parents (i had no problem with that) then mine for what we wanted to use it for

Two weeks ago we had a major misunderstanding, it was soo intense to the extent that he told me to park out of the house, in the heat of things i told him that cannot be possible that the house is in my name, he was shocked, saying it is impossible we built it together that it's in his name, i had to remind him what happened then, he was furious saying it was wrong of me to use my name, that he cant believe he has been staying in a house that does not belong to him, he told his family what i did claming victim, then he packed out saying he wont come home till i change the name to his full name, i begged him to no avail, i dont even know how to tell my people, imagine if it was in his name, i and the kids would have been out of the house by now, he has requested for transfer from his office to another state cos of this, who does that?? He cant expect me to change it to his name.

Pls i need other advise to go about this, he is a good man but he feels his ego has been bruised, i need other options.

MODIFIED For those viewing this, i have made some clarifications down to page (1),

Involve his own family and especially his parents. Don't change the name on the documents yet

That's not true....Catholic churches gives without any card nor white shirt...they will only announce that you should be in a state of grace before you receive, that is, having a clear conscience
sunnysunny69:
Catholic church will not give you unless you have a communion card, but outside Nigeria Europe for example, holy communion is like pure water, wherever mass is celebrated, anyone can join the line and have it, only we Africans turn things on our heads.

EDIT.
Some catholic churches but not all.
