[quote author=Otunba147 post=70964847]Hello, I want to say a big thank you to everyone who as contributed positively on this thread may God continue to bless you and grant you all your heart desires in Jesus name. Please house how long does it take the embassy to send your passport and original documents back. It’s been 5days without a word. Thank you [/quote Better take a chill pill oo Mine is 10 days since I submitted and haven’t heard anything and also no tracking details found. I also know few people who have been waiting for the past 2 weeks too. I don’t understand this new development from the embassy. Someone will wait for AM for 4 weeks + and still wait for visa for 2 weeks + again. It is well. 1 Like |

chidicute: Also note that some banks charge 25% of interest for primature termination. So read your tbills certificate very well and think twice. |

TONY56: You are right. I feel the rate should be higher than that. However, compare to other banks rate have been seeing lately, I think Stanbic is still leading. |

Those using other banks and crying for lesser rate, what did you guys expect? If you’ve been following the page, you should know better by now. If it’s not any of the banks below, forget it. 1st. STANBIC IBTC 2nd. FBN 3rd. GTB Just my 2 kobo... 4 Likes |

Sammybabelious: You’re welcome. Yes the choice to wait till maturity is better. |
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Oma255: 1:18pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
Sammybabelious: The 11k charges is the addiction of 25% penalty of primature termination on interest and other small charges of vat and commission fee. Yes you were charged from your principal because you didn’t have any any interest except for one day which is about 430 naira. If you had waited till maturity, your interest would have been about 39k, so 25% is like 9,700 + other small charges = 11k 1 Like |

My tbills on Wednesday primary market auction with Stanbic Bank was 10% for 91 days. I’m not really happy with the rate but I can’t complain. |

Interview done today at Lagos embassy. Arrived at the embassy 5:50am, met 5 people on the queue for student visa. Paulinus was doing his job as usual. Once you have all your documents and listen to his instructions you won’t have any problem with him. Then was called in for my interview around 7:30am. After biometrics I was asked to pick up the phone to start the interview proper. 1. Masters or Bachelor ? 2. What course are you going to study? Like 3 times 3. What did u study for your first degree? 4. Do you have an accommodation already? 5. Have u fund? 6. Who funded for you ? 7. What’s the name of the university? 8.How did you hear about the school 9.Who contacted the school for you 10.How did you apply ? 11. Why the course ? 12. Why another bachelor ? 13. Why not U.K, USA or any English speaking countries? 14. Have u apply to any Schengen country before? 15. What do you know about Germany and be specific about it? 16. Have you learnt german? Where and to what level? 17. What will you do after your studies? 18.What preparation have you made ? That will be all and we will contact you by email. It lasted for about 30 minutes. 11 Likes 1 Share |

RalphVwede: I don’t know if they really require it, but they took it from me including other documents I listed. However, if you don’t have it, you can try without it or request it from your school. |

chrisb2r200: Yes is very normal. They changed me #250 and #5000 Naira (for Vat & the form A processing ) the second day and another #5000 Naira ( for the outward transfer) the third day. Then I received a confirmation email from Fintiba the 5ft day. This is why is good to do it from their head office because is faster. It would have even taken 4 days if i had gone to their head office before 9am that day instead of 2pm. |

For those who want to use form A to fund their account, this is my experience on how I did mine. First, I went to first Bank head office in marina by 10am on the 21/06/18 with all my required documents: Fintiba make the transfer Admission letter Official living cost breakdown from my school Bsc certificate copy Passport data page copy After much talk, the lady insist that i cannot use the form A as I am not sending it to the schools account. I saw this coming base on other people’s previous post, so I quickly transfer my fund to my Stanbic account as I don’t have time to waste. After, I went to Stanbic IBTC head office close to the embassy by 12:30pm. Though they said form A is possible but the rate the banker gave me was way higher than the black market rate as of that day 429.50 euro meanwhile black market was 420 euro and charges of about #34k naira .I wasn’t convinced, so I transfer my fund again to my Zenith bank account. Then, I arrived Zenith head office in V.I by 2pm same day. After enquiry, they said its possible that a student going to Germany even did it last week,so I became relaxed finally after the whole stress and disappointment. I filled the form with my account fully funded. I was charged a total of #10,250 Naira and the rate they used was 421.13 euro x 8829 and I got my Fintiba Confirmation exactly 5 working days from the day of transaction 27/06/18. P.S. When I went to Zenith head office in Ajose Adeogun v.i, they directed me to their Trade Services Department in Zion/ Zenion building plot 2 3 floor in the same street about 6 buildings away from their head office. I hope this helps as I did my best to break everything down. Also, this is a way of me giving back as I have benefited a lot from reading part 3 up to the current page. 39 Likes 4 Shares |

Yesterday Friday, I secure a tbills of 9.4% for 84days from Stanbic Ibtc secondary market. I think Stanbic has a better rate for shorter days than first Bank rate, because I checked with fbn and this is what they gave me the same day: 29days for 8% 57days for 8.4% 64days for 8.5% 114days for 9% 190days for 10% |
