[quote author=Otunba147 post=70964847]Hello,
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who as contributed positively on this thread may God continue to bless you and grant you all your heart desires in Jesus name. Please house how long does it take the embassy to send your passport and original documents back. It’s been 5days without a word.

Thank you
[/quote

Better take a chill pill oo
Mine is 10 days since I submitted and haven’t heard anything and also no tracking details found.
I also know few people who have been waiting for the past 2 weeks too. I don’t understand this new development from the embassy.

Someone will wait for AM for 4 weeks + and still wait for visa for 2 weeks + again. It is well.

Good day all, please, I'm in serious delinma now, I invested into TB in april22 2018, 13%, for 210 days, secondary market, and it's due for November 4, 2018,and I have been paid my upfront interest. But there is something urgent now, I can't wait, till november 4th 2018, so I wana terminate it,please who can show me detailed way I can calculate how much the bank would collect from my principal since I ve been paid my interest already, using 600,000naira, jus for example...please this is urgent, someone should help me with analysis, how he got how much the bank would collect from me ,for liquidating the TB before maturity.thanks for ya speedy response

Also note that some banks charge 25% of interest for primature termination. So read your tbills certificate very well and think twice.

I feel that these rates are not good considering the surge in the last TB auction.
I got 11.5% for 142 days on 6th July 2018 when primary rates were much lower so I think the rate now should not be less than 12% to be termed "Good"

You are right. I feel the rate should be higher than that. However, compare to other banks rate have been seeing lately, I think Stanbic is still leading.
Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Oma255: 10:04pm On Sep 03, 2018
Stanbic secondary market rate today.

59 days - 10.35%
101 days - 11 %
143 days - 11.5%

Those using other banks and crying for lesser rate, what did you guys expect?

If you’ve been following the page, you should know better by now.

If it’s not any of the banks below, forget it.
1st. STANBIC IBTC
2nd. FBN
3rd. GTB

Good morning my sabi people,AKA gurus....
I invested on Tbills Feb 2018,for 91 days tenure.(primary market) it ended around may,den it was rolled over to this August.I sent a mail to first bank DAT I don't want it to be rolled over again,(am not in d state I did d tbills) dey replied I should go to any first bank branch n put in application to terminate it. Meanwhile it was on d eve evening of d tenure .(15/8/2018)so I went to d nearest branch d next day, unfortunately it has already been rolled over.16/8/2018
When I applied for it to be terminated, d in charge advice me to leave it ,because I will be charged high .so he collected my number DAT after scanning n is sending it to the branch and it been approve,he will tell me d amount I will be credited.
N.B.... I the money invested is 1.59M,so when he called d next day he said I will be credited with 1.48M.DAT 11k will be deducted ,just after 1 day,not even d interest, it from my main capital. I was shocked I ask him to hold on.
He said it was rolled over at 9.85%
Pls my question is ,is it for real,or he just said DAT to scared me.11k is too much na,I tot it will be around 2_5k.
Pls advice me on what to do. Am confused.
Am sorry for the long post

The 11k charges is the addiction of 25% penalty of primature termination on interest and other small charges of vat and commission fee.
Yes you were charged from your principal because you didn’t have any any interest except for one day which is about 430 naira.

If you had waited till maturity, your interest would have been about 39k, so 25% is like 9,700 + other small charges = 11k

My tbills on Wednesday primary market auction with Stanbic Bank was 10% for 91 days. I’m not really happy with the rate but I can’t complain. smiley

Interview done today at Lagos embassy.
Arrived at the embassy 5:50am, met 5 people on the queue for student visa. Paulinus was doing his job as usual. Once you have all your documents and listen to his instructions you won’t have any problem with him.
Then was called in for my interview around 7:30am.
After biometrics I was asked to pick up the phone to start the interview proper.

Thanks for this. Please did Zenith require the official breakdown from your school eventually?

I don’t know if they really require it, but they took it from me including other documents I listed. However, if you don’t have it, you can try without it or request it from your school.

I don't understand this zenith o...I did mine with their branch office in ikeja. On Monday I was charged #250 and #5000 respectively. But since then I haven't gotten any alert or confirmation. Please is that how u were charged too??

Yes is very normal. They changed me #250 and #5000 Naira (for Vat & the form A processing ) the second day and another #5000 Naira ( for the outward transfer) the third day. Then I received a confirmation email from Fintiba the 5ft day.

This is why is good to do it from their head office because is faster. It would have even taken 4 days if i had gone to their head office before 9am that day instead of 2pm.

Yes they should, but will advise you go to big branches as most small branch barely have much information on how to go about it.

For those who want to use form A to fund their account, this is my experience on how I did mine.

First, I went to first Bank head office in marina by 10am on the 21/06/18 with all my required documents:
Fintiba make the transfer
Admission letter
Official living cost breakdown from my school
Bsc certificate copy
Passport data page copy
After much talk, the lady insist that i cannot use the form A as I am not sending it to the schools account. I saw this coming base on other people’s previous post, so I quickly transfer my fund to my Stanbic account as I don’t have time to waste.

After, I went to Stanbic IBTC head office close to the embassy by 12:30pm. Though they said form A is possible but the rate the banker gave me was way higher than the black market rate as of that day 429.50 euro meanwhile black market was 420 euro and charges of about #34k naira .I wasn’t convinced, so I transfer my fund again to my Zenith bank account.

Then, I arrived Zenith head office in V.I by 2pm same day. After enquiry, they said its possible that a student going to Germany even did it last week,so I became relaxed finally after the whole stress and disappointment. I filled the form with my account fully funded. I was charged a total of #10,250 Naira and the rate they used was 421.13 euro x 8829 and I got my Fintiba Confirmation exactly 5 working days from the day of transaction 27/06/18.

P.S.
When I went to Zenith head office in Ajose Adeogun v.i, they directed me to their Trade Services Department in
Zion/ Zenion building plot 2
3 floor in the same street about 6 buildings away from their head office.
I hope this helps as I did my best to break everything down. Also, this is a way of me giving back as I have benefited a lot from reading part 3 up to the current page.

I just received my blocking confirmation from Fintiba this morning. ( I was expecting it on Monday, didn't know they send mails on weekends.)

I funded through Form A with Stanbic IBTC Bank on the 28th of May. They completed the transaction on Friday 8th of June(yesterday), almost 2 weeks after applying.

They charged me 426.7/Euro. and a service charge of approximately N33,000.

So, anyone looking at funding with Form A and is ok with the charges can go to their head office. It is located on the same street with the Germany embassy (Walter Carrington).

Will forward the Blocking confirmation to the embassy by Monday. Anyone with the right Email address should please assist me with it.

Thanks for the info.
Please what rate did the bank use ?
Also, you mean they charge you 426.7 Euro which is about 180k naira ?

Yesterday Friday, I secure a tbills of 9.4% for 84days from Stanbic Ibtc secondary market.
I think Stanbic has a better rate for shorter days than first Bank rate, because I checked with fbn and this is what they gave me the same day:

29days for 8%
57days for 8.4%
64days for 8.5%
114days for 9%
190days for 10%
