@omoola007 I disagree with you; the iPad2 is NOT coming down in price anytime soon. iPad2 came out, Apple reduced iPad 1 by $100, how much has iPhone4 come down since release? Don't mess with Apple, they don't reduce their prices - budding MBA students, do your research on Apple - in a crowded market they are able to charge a premium for their products on the strength of their brand.

@Cabali  - omafones doesn't need to hustle, we provide a service. We run a business, some people don't have the time, inclination or where withall to search out how to open an iTunes account. We provide service within minutes to assist them. A customer buys a N170,000 phone and wants to download apps, we charge for our time (or not as the case maybe) , but we run a business, if you pump your tire with free air the vulcaniser can still charge you, alternatively you can buy your own pump and pump the tire yourself.

Omafones runs a website, has showroom and employs staff to provide a service but you think everybody is here to 'hustle'

somebody is charging $25 voucher for N7500, why? cos they have costs , they buy the vouchers at $25, not any less; Apple doesn't supply them vouchers at any discount, these vouchers sit on their shelves whilst they have staff to pay, diesel to buy, rent to pay and you accuse them of a 'hustle'.

how many iPhone/ iPad users do you think there are in Nigeria, perhaps less than 0.003% of the population, whereas just one shop in UK or US can sell $2000 worth of vouchers a day!!! How many posters on this thread earn only N2k a day but you begrudge someone trying to earn an honest living in a really small marketplace.

Fortunately some customers are too busy to hassle themselves with credit cards, foreign addresses, etc and will gladly pay someone to do it for them.

Ade Mark is obviously looking for his friend that lives in the US, should pop into his local Apple Store or Best Buy outlet, buy the iPad 2 and God so kind as he is coming on holiday next week so he'll throw it into his luggage (I presume he is not buying anything for any of his relatives and not carrying any clothes so no question of excess luggage), Ade's friend is a seasoned traveler so no customs dare disturb him at MMA (who born the customs man?) , then he'll bring the iPad2 and hand it over to Ade - Shikena!!!

iPad 2 cost $775 (no sales tax) at N155 to the dollar only N120k . I understand Ade Mark completely, he has no reason to pay anything near N150k when apparently it only cost his friend N120k.

But of you want to pick up an iPad2 already in Lagos, sitting in a showroom, waiting for a buyer, an iPad2 that has has paid transport, custom duties, sitting in an air conditioned office, then as long as Apple doesn't have an official sales rep for iPhone & iPad in Nigeria then the likes of Omoola007, Mega Plaza, Slot and Omafones will be duty bound to put a proportion of their costs on this high value item otherwise they will go out of business.

There are two main advertisers on Facebook in Nigeria for Blackberry - www.omafones.com which is us, we sell genuine, factory unlocked Blackberry with warranty starting from N38k to N107k depending on which phone you want.

and there is another company selling Blackberry (I don't know if they have started selling 'blueberry') they advertise Blackberry for N20k. As I understand they are selling Chinese phones which look exactly like a blackberry, but do not have the original blackberry features. I understand these phones can surf the internet, have radios, can browse, chat with Yahoo messenger, as well as phone calls, text and email and only cost N20k

They do not have Blackberry Messenger, I don't know if they have push email, you can't use the BIS service on these phones, I do not know if you can download any 'apps' to these look alike phones.

This is a free country, you can spend your N20k on a look alike or N38k on the genuine thing, it really depends on what you need the phone for.

I have just upgraded some of my apps using BB App world whilst in Nigeria, last week that was impossible.

@Lumiz123 how now long time!!! iTunes is not available officially in Nigeria but if you have a credit card you can register for iTunes and download directly to iPhone or iTouch, they're some simple workarounds which some of our customers have already used on their iPads, iTouch and iPhones in Nigeria. contact me for more info.

Android is pretty universal and unlike Apple, Google is always keen to make their products easily accessible to the whole world.

For android phones I suggest you try HTC phones for Android or Samsung - choose carefully so many to chose from.
