You should rest more and ease yourself of all forms of activities. Bed rest please. Talk to your doctor also incase you'll need progesterone support.

I bought those knitted baby outfits, the one with cardigan, trouser, cap and socks. But a friend said it's not good enough for naming that I should just buy that suit like outfit.

Anything you like as a mom can be used for your baby. Everyone will always have an opinion on what you should use but it still boils down to you. I've seen women use sleepsuits, if you really like what you have,why not use it

They didn't give na, you know those people can be rude.. lemme give a brief story of what they went through there..
Some months back, the wife asked her consultant how much for CS and the man said 70k without drugs and some other things which she asked if it was negotiable and he said NO.. During her next appointment,she met another woman who underwent CS but with a different consultant and she asked how much she paid, the woman told her 60k ... When she was told of the delivery pack which they initially told her was 18k cos it's CS, she started requesting for a list and the person she met said he can't give her list oo that he doesn't want trouble and they don't give anyone list. She then asked if the 70k was negotiable but the man told her different consultants have their different charges (same hospital o). Her husband was very angry and went to report at SERVICOM, those ones said there's nothing they can do about it that that's how they do their thing... The poor man had to go get a loan only to pay for delivery pack yesterday and was being told there's no methylated spirit, there's no this and that...

Na wa oo ,govt hospital? Why won't private become more greedy.my own list don't av cotton wool,tissue,cord clamp, and Vaseline. If dem like dey shud ask for it dat day,hubby don ready for dem especially d matron he just dislike the woman from day one wen she talked to him rudely

I just thank God I didn't go to that particular hospital.. Everything needed is what my hospital wrote and the qtty is not bogus ,they didn't even specify size apart from the catheter.. The only thing they didn't include for baby is comb which I added incase we have hair...

Your hospital even have a particular brand of air freshener they love.. GBC wey get better scent

Slaying in bum shorts at this time is not for everyone oo.. The way I drip ehnn, it seems cold doesn't want to come ooo.. Imagine using hot water with this heat

About this hospital list stuff, some hospitals are thieves not excluding government hospitals..
My church member put to bed today... At the FMC she uses, they said they don't give them list that you will have to pay for it... She was booked for CS today and was told to come in yesterday morning. Her hubby said after paying 15500, they started mentioning the things they did not have and should go and buy yet they did not give them a dime from the 15500 paid... This morning again, they told them to still get other things the hospital did not have that's part of the list oo. You can imagine...

I thank God for the safe delivery of my daughter.
I had planned to get pregnant very early this year, as my second child was already 4yrs old. Somehow it didn't happen so I took my mind off it. Early September I fell sick. I took antimalarial drugs and painkillers but as the days went by, there was no improvement. I suddenly remembered that I hadn't seen my period. I got a test strip and it was a big fat positive.
Throughout the pregnancy, it was one health challenge or the other. At 28wks, I was admitted in the hospital for days due to Preterm Contractions and was closely monitored. At 36wks, my doctor told me the baby needed to come out in order to avoid uterine rupture because my previous child was born via cs. So it was scheduled and on April 21st afternoon, my beautiful baby girl was brought out almost screaming the hospital down, with mum, dad and older siblings overjoyed.
I give God all the glory.

My own nah wrapper
Me that like bump shorts before, never ever to be caught with wrapper, my belle shoot out and nah me and these two wrappers now nah to burn them after delivery

You see this wrapper thing ehn, never to be caught with it before but now it's an everyday something... I don't wear clothes except I have where I'm going, I leave myself in nature's suit while my wrapper is beside me incase someone knocks d door

You are fine ma,. Not everyone gets chubby with pregnancy though you may still add weight

Yeah,I read something similar too on IG. They said taking ewedu few weeks before delivery really helps and some mothers testified that it really worked for them. Na to Dey drink ewedu like juice remain now.

My beautiful baby daughter arrived on Thursday 21st of April via ELCS, weighing 3.6kg at 37wks 6days.

I've been able to sleep only on my right side for more than a week now.
Whenever I turn to the left, it feels like everything in my tummy follow including my baby and maybe placenta sef and intestine join, and in no time the baby will start kicking and hiccups will follow Asif he isn't comfortable. And me too, I won't be able to breath well again. It gets me scared so I will immediately move back to the right side and nothing of such happens.

Imagine just sleeping on one side for more than a week.. I can't even explain d discomfort. My whole right side is on a freezing mode 24/7.
I complained to my doctor and he said it's all normal and I should just manage for now .
How do I manage this pain what can i do. Please who has been in my shoes before.
I am week 32

I was really over joyed and i registered when pregnancy was 12weeks old.
You guys know dat for every new hospital u register with they will ask u questions on your health history and d rest.

During my first antenal class d matron read through my card and told me to see their consultant gnae which i did and he wrote on d front page of my antenatal report card to always see him after closure of each antenatal class, i tried my best not to miss each appointment till i put to bed.

Apart from d normal discomfort, I had a very smooth and energetic pregnancy both in da oza room till my last trimester

My Consultant told me they will be monitoring d pregnancy till 36weeks and bring baby out because of my previous experience to avoid story, after 36wks appointment with him he told me theres no cause for alarm that everything is fine.
he told me to report to d hospital if i don't fall into labour on my edd which was on April 4th so dat i will be induced.

April 5th i carried my bag to hospital and was placed on admission to be induced d next day, but d induction failed and the doctors, midwife told me to avoid emergency case d next thing they will do for me is CS to save baby and myself.

I asked d doctor's if i could sign d papers myself cos i was alone at dat time and they responded with a big YES.... They brought d papers Immediately and after signing them i was moved to the theater for caesarien section.

Hubby was on transit to come meet me in d hospital but before he got there my baby girl was already out and was screaming so loud in d theater......i didn't know when i started sharing tears of joy that finally am now a mother!!

Baby edd was April 4th
I gave birth to my baby girl via elective cs on April 6th
Birth weight.... 3.2kg
We were dischared 3days later(mother, baby alive)

I was 40 weeks exactly.
My antenatal was Tuesday and my Edd was Friday.
So I finally gave birth on my Edd but I'm sure it was because of the sweep cos there was no single sign of real labour before the sweep. I was actually complaining to the doc at that antenatal that I felt very heavy, he did the normal checks and said baby was well engaged and suggested a sweep, that it will help start labour, I didn't even know what a sweep was, I just agreed and he did immediately.

As I have passed my closest EDD, I m becoming impatience. Before 36th week, I would have sworn i was having contraction already. Nah me dey beg baby to wait till I finish all office work. Right now, no show. I was reviewed and told I am not a candidate for induction. I ve been on monitoring since last week and it's been so stressful.Don't want to add details yet, I don't want my post to fly to frontpage yet.i m reserving energy.
Mamas how do I induce n dilate naturally, I have exercise, danced, pineapple,.dates, and over sexed sef.

My first pregnancy
Membrane sweep on Tuesday, (the doc used his gloved finger, it was painful but bearable).
Started seeing small small bloody show same day with lots of Braxton Hicks contractions
Started having timed contractions early Thursday morning
Went to hospital only 2cm dilated
Stayed till Friday morning, slow labour.
Last last na oxytocin drip induction Friday morning at 6cm dilation to hasten labour.
Gave birth at around 10am

Bodies differ. Yours might be different.

May i ask how many weeks were you then or should I ask why you did a sweep?

Hello mums, mummies who have had membrane sweeps done on them in their previous pregnancies should please share how it was done and how long after the sweep it took for labour to start.. my doc was telling me about having a sweep next weekend so I want to know what it entails from those who have done it.. thanks mamas
