Whenever I UnCloth my baby to bath, I will put him in the bathing bowl and do shhhhhhhhhhh slowly, before you know he will pee, and later poo, sometimes if he hasn't poo for days, putting him in the bowl and shhhhhhhhh usually does d magic

He has mastered it oo.. Mine is yet to master it well but its getting better...

Hello mums, I want to share this based on my shikini experience and considering it might be helpful for some mums.

I've always read about how difficult potty training can be and I've always wished it'd be the opposite for me. When my babe was 4 months +, I went visiting a church member whose babe was 3 weeks older. She was airing the baby’s bum and also putting her on the potty occasionally to pee and or poop.

When I got home, ffiiiaammm I brought out mackintosh and cut into the size I wanted, cut wrapper and told my baby from today we start using the potty.. After she sold her first diaper and I clean her up, I will put her on the mackintosh with wrapper and start putting her on the potty. Is it Difficult? YES because we sometimes stay 20 minutes playing without a single wee but the moment I put her back on bed, she releases the tap . but there's no going back.

Gradually she began to pee and even poo in the potty. Sometimes when we wake up and she's yet to poo, I intentionally remove her diaper and we sit till she poops cos she poos every morning even if she'll still poop more, that morning own must come ... Sometimes she'll even eb crying in the potty o after during which poop will follow .. This morning after we've had our bath and her diaper was on her, I heard a loud fart and quickly tapped her buttocks, removed the diaper so she can sit. Immediately she sat, loud farts and poop followed... Lest I forget, azzidents do happen too and I don't blame her or myself for it cos its a gradual process.. If she can sit on it now, it won't be a problem as she'll continue to get used to it.. I also snap and make videos of her to show her later in the future ;D9

Sorry about the boring story, I just hope it'll be helpful especially for mums that stays at home and also on weekends for mums that work.

Please mamas in the house had anyone experienced mastitis before? I just started using this medela breastpad and the absorption is so so poor, I’m suspecting I may have gotten mastitis. I have been having fever but took pcm, serious breast pain on one breast and breast tenderness.

Massage the affected breast with warm water. If it's not helping, rub palm kernel oil on the breast to help to help soften it as you massage out the milk.. The time I had a terrible engorgement with sickening fever, it was Palm kernel oil my mum rubbed to soften the boob making massage easier..
After boob un has softened, also ensure baby feeds from it well enough

Initially, we weren't given the ROTA cos of its unavailability in the state I reside until 2 months ago when it was brought and administered to kids below 2 yrs..

Its to prevent diarrhoea in kids though some parents don't take it for their kids because it's side effect is same diarrhoea

Please ensure your baby's feeding items are properly sterilized.
Make sure she doesn't eat left over milk or formula even if it's one hour left over.
Don't give your baby any kind of water. Even agbo. Nothing. Just milk.
Let the mom feed more on fruits and vegetables to enrich her milk and boost the white blood cell formation.
Don't let anyone kiss your baby or even [/b]allow baby hold their fingers[b].

Did he take ROTA recently, when was his last Immunisation? Maybe he's reacting to something in your diet, did you recently start eating what you haven't been eating since you birthed him??

Continue with the ORS even as you make plans on seeing a paediatrician not just a regular doc.. He'll be fine...

I used to take tea or pap after every meal. Also find time to rest. The breasts are usually fuller when you wake up from a nap.

The pap you take is not supposed to be watery ma. it ought to be of confirm quantity and quality . eating swallow, peppersoup and Lactation cookies also help.

Its advisable to wait for 6 months as they've always told us but personally, I'm beginning to drop things in my baby's mouth o and she doesn't spit it out.. I don't want a situation whereby transitioning will be difficult cos the older they grow, their taste buds gets more pronounced making them know how sweet breastmilk is.. In few days, we will be 5 and I'm planning to start her on Tom brown by God's grace

True true, not all cry is food.. Sometimes its attention they need and sometimes, they want to bring out that cultural dance ability in you while at other times you can just hold her and play with her.

When will get to General Hospital, they attending to my wife. My baby was admitted and she's on drip, we get everything they needed to us to get, and they told her she's going to stop breastfeeding her for 24hrs, and she will only be on drip. So on Sunday morning, the pediatrician notice my baby cough, and insert some Tube from her nose to drain some content from her stomach, and they recommend we do a abdominal scan immediately. We went to get it done, and the results came out, everything is fine, but the impression show she her enemy as a (Mild Gastrits). We started breastfeeding her again as instruct by the Dr. This time she'l doesn't vomit and we are happy. However, she still vomiting small small but not like before especially the time interval.

You don't have to worry, you did well by transferring your LO to a paediatrician instead of staying with a gynae.. The mild gastritis is a s a result of infections but she's fine as the vomiting has reduced,, gradually, it'll disappear. Ensure wify keeps her hydrated all the time to make up for lost fluid in the throw ups. I read sometimes back that hiccups are normal in babies, just ensure baby is burped after every feed to reduce gassiness in her.. She's good already and congrats once again.
