I thank God for bringing me to where I am right now o... I was the black sheep of the family while growing as no little thing passes under my nose without getting the proper action or reaction from me, no word passes by me without getting the proper response whoever you are young or old,rich or poor... I never thought I would be able to get married as I wouldn't want to be cheated by anybody.. Maybe na my mama prayer con dey cut my winchie winchie small small.. I remember after telling them I wanted getting married, the first thing my elder brother said was that I should think about it very well cos I won't come back to that house again except for visits, I bet they never expected I could last even a month because of my twisted personality. But God has taken control shaa , the ajegunle side only comes out when I need to defend myself

Don't worry, she'll come out and your delivery shall be as the Hebrew women.. What's your doctor saying about it since you are 40 full weeks?

I learnt tailoring for some weeks when I traveled home some years back, he promised my parents I will surely continue when we get back,my dear till date nothing,he keep saying he will buy machine and won't let me go out to learn,till now nothing. I don talk tire,cry tire. Wetin I go do na. He deceived me. I am actually good at baking,fry chinchin but I dare not use it to make money,dey no born me well to try it. And I am one calm and selfless lady,he is using all this to his advantage. The only way I can earn money is not been physical about it,I mean like online while I get my pay into my account direct but I see no online earnings yet.

Sorry bout all you are going through sis... Please focus on being good for yourself and your kids while you continue to pray for him, this too shall pass

I lost him same year I lost my beloved mother,and same day my eldest child added a year +. After his death,I will carry all the baby things,both the one he used and not yet used,sniff them and cry silently,when my other kids aren't around. After 4 months I took in again,and I was happy,at least it will help alot to ease my heart. But what happened? I fell sick,hubby refused me to go to hospital,he said he will call his nurse instead,he bought drugs,my sickness still persisted and he wasn't happy I was down,he came home one night with another set of drugs saying this one is strong and will make me better,my instinct was rejecting it,I told him these ones are too strong for me,I will call my doctor,this man started nagging that so I am calling him senseless and don't know what is good for his own wife? Last last he forced me to take it in his presence,big big drugs o. The next morning I carry phone to check Google and what I saw shocked me. I started panicking. I can't go out to see a doctor,where is the money? He made me a full house wife,wetin I go carry use?

I told him what I found out,he started nagging again and forced me to take it,what Happened next? I started bleeding when he was not at home,before I knew it,the little festus there was out,it has already form sef,tiny hands,legs but no hair or sex yet. I was so traumatized,oya let me go to the hospital to do scan,he said ok. He keeps delaying till blood flow stopped.
After a week blood started flowing again,mind you I was still spitting and vomiting all this while. I started getting weak,see heavy clots of blood,my sister you go fear,I fainted more than twice, that was when I was rushed to the hospital and it was confirm there is a little product left and placenta,my dear I went through another horrible evacuation. That was how I lost my twins baby again. I shared this here, because I know other Mamas will learn one or two things.

I don't know if I should share what also lead to my one month old babys death. Hmmm.

Oh my God a one month old and twins? Hmmmmnnn.. It is well mama, if you feel relieved enough to share, It will help lift a lot of the inner burden off you... Ehugs mama...
Also Permit me to say I don't think your hubby wants another baby, I may be wrong though..

That's a typical yoruba man you got there... Hubby and I were gisting sometimes back and I told him plainly I wouldn't have married him if I noticed he's not domesticated at all oo, he was surprised... I remember when we just got married, we would both go to work and go to church, then getting back home I would enter the kitchen straight though very tired and he would lie down on the couch pressing his phone..... I don't have a problem with that, my own is I need the strength of your mouth to keep me going so when I talk to you, reply me only for him to tell me he can't talk as his mouth is heavy cos of hunger.... Yeee, I left the food oo so that our mouth can be heavy together in the parlour, who is not tired? By the time I washed my heavy mouth on him in that parlour (God have mercy on me ), na guy man finish the cooking,, energy to talk and energy to cook which one small pass....

Please just manage and don't do more than you can do..

I tell you.... I shaa know you can't throw the baby away... Many things running through my head, it's just that my hubby is very calm and homely when it comes to anything household including chores

Just gave birth to a bouncing baby girl via VG
EDD 21st April
DOB 18th April
My BS story is a very interesting one from beginning of conception right till Birth.
The conception came as a surprise because my last pregnancy was CS, since baby was breeched, so we wanted to wait for her to clock 3 before trying again, but God knows best. Was praying for both of them to be birthday mate because my first is April 16.
As the pregnancy progressed baby was in breeched position, but thank God she later turned head down.. Because the doctors were already giving option of CS, since I wanted to try VBAC...Went to the hospital on Sat and doctor checked and said my OS is still closed, funny enough my water broke that very night and labor started, I had already been briefed that I won't be induced because of the previous,that labor would have to be natural since I wanted to try VBAC ..Omo the pain was something else,for almost 24hours i was in labor... But thank God it finally ended in praise... Wishing rest mamas safe delivery....

i tell u... Wat i am facing now wit my body is swollen leg, elevated bp n headache due to sleepless night n day... Hubby not helping at all... Imagine!! If i tell him i just wanna go buy smtin down s road dt e shld watch ova d baby, e will tell me to carrybl him along... Bottle fed baby oo, breastmilk r inside fridge dt e can easily tk frm n feed baby wen he cry if i am not around but e chose not to help... Smh!!! E doesn't even look my side wen i complain of bodyache instead e complains of wat i didnt do in d aous.

at d end of the day, it is only u that will be thinking of what will they eat o, (chei I hate.),if God wants to catch person let d cheif omugwo be aged woman that usually eat breakfast by 7am, lunch by 1pm, predinner 4pm, before dinner.

Don't even try to carry an aged person, you are the one that will do omugwo for her... Like my mother did omugwo for my grandma

As a FTM that you are,pls try to have someone around if possible.

But there are some people that do amaze me (if the English is correct ) is it tradition in some tribes or what sef. As a new mum, some people will expect you to enter kitchen,cook and serve them when they visit. Instead of them to enter kitchen to help you cook or even help wash some clothes as you never get strength well enough. The thing tire me o.

By God's grace I should have MIL around. Though I don't have anyone younger than I am around, all of them are much older and na dem Dey do chop chop when I was living with one of them.. There will be no room for that here shaa that's why I want my MIL instead of my mum who they are familiar with

OMG!! The sleepless nights is second to none,the headache,and if you are alone with no help,once baby is sleeping during the day,you will have loads of chores calling out to you,which you have to do before baby wakes up. If it's not so important it's better to sleep with baby,your body needs the sleep and rest. And do you know that there are some babies that get used to mummy so quick? Like they will want to be in your arms instead of lying down.

Omakraid I saw what you posted but I decided to just read what other Mamas has to say. Because with my many years of experience as a mother,if I talk now,some present generation mamas will come for my head and I can boldly said my experience was worth it. Some of the things that some doctors do kick against these present days. E.g hot water bath and massage. It helps mother's alot till date. The deal is I do what favours I and my child not what people say,and no regrets or disadvantages till date. Alhamdulillah

Tx for ur response. I m a FTM.Pls enlighten me,I use to wonder why 2 3 4 pple will come and say they want to help in taking care of one baby. What is taking care of baby apart from bathing(they don't baff hourly nah) diaper changing, feeding( u are the one with breast),they can't help unless u are bottlefeeding, household chores and cooking(these are normal normal).i m rly curious

Lol, one needs help though but not overcrowding abeg... That's how I will work and almost die when I was living with my aunt. When she gives birth, her MIL comes around, her siblings will come and sometimes sleep over with kids.. I will Cook and cook, clean and clean, na so-so chop chop and everywhere will be so noisy and untidy no matter how many times you clean.. I suffer that year ooo

The alternative is not to do it at all as advised by your doctor but my Mama no gree. I had to do it as my fav Aunt would have beaten me if I didn't but my MIL thanked her for a good job done well as I was looking good for his dedication ceremony.
My tummy isn't folded as my colleagues and customers ask my secret for looking like someone who hasn't birthed before.
If you're not alone, it's doable as my mum ensured that I always sleep and stayed awake with him since I wasn't doing exclusive and if it persists, she'll wake me up to breastfeed. I also have a distant cousin that was with me to assist us with taking care of him which gave me time to sleep. If you're alone, you'll want to do chores as visitors will always troop in to greet baby.

As a FTM with a boy clocking 4 months on Thursday, pregnancy was stress free, labor was cool but postpartum was hell for me especially healing from the stitches, inability to pass stool with ease, painful breastfeeding for a first timer, hot water bath and massage.
Breastfeeding was painful initially but it got better over time and I only nurse with one breast as the other refuses to pump well till date.
As regards waking up at night, it was always 3 to 4 times till about 7 weeks it dropped to 2, 3 or no waking at all if there's no heat. It's easy to say sleep when baby sleeps but not doable most times. It's frustrating if after feeding the baby refuses to sleep but if the room is cool, baby will definitely cooperate this is after they've overcome colic.

Hmmn, this is serious, thanks a lot for this response ma... Isn't there alternatives for that hot water massage? That thing shrinks abi makes the Tommy fold or am I wrong?
And why is it not possible to sleep while baby sleeps (another mum mentioned it too that its easy to say and not easy to do)... Abi it's because one doesn't want to leave the chores undone?

Lost my angel this morning around 20weeks plus after a cerclage was placed at 14 weeks, I am down I feel everything just goes against me anytime I am pregnant. Well, possible from lots I've read online.. The amazing part of hers is that she still had a preggy test this Feb which was negative. Thank God she saw the tiny arm before flushing that baby...
