What a Perfprmance the lads put up there today!Everyone in the team played its part and contributed to the whitewashing of the ''DOMITABLE CUBS'' today.Leon 'TERMINATOR' Balogun was outstanding,showed his importance and class with his well timed tackles,off and on the ball intelligence and leadership qualities,I am suprised nobody is talking about Ekong's performace,dude nullified the overhyped and in-form Aboubakar's threat by manmarking him out of the match.One reason i like Shehu Abdullahi is the way he keeps it simple,lad knows he cant dribble so he always cut into the midfield passing to Ndidi or Onazi while dragging players with him in the process which frees Moses Simon to run up behind cameroons LB when receiving first time passes from the midfield duo.Elderson is still a suspect in our defence as Cameroons RB ran behind him times without number but Leon was always saving his ass.Midfielders were also oustanding while the attackers just simply to hot for the camerronian backline to contain.Our substitutes were also spot on and came in at the right time.Big Ups to The GOODJOE for the player reviews and ratings,just couldn't agree more with his assesments.Also a Big Hug and Welcome Back to The SuperNerd. Again, Leon is a CLASS ACT. Dude didn't put a wrong foot. His intelligence is immeasurable,his composure and calmness is so grand.

You know ,Vic Moses can be great and all that but he gets a little over excited. He holds the ball a little too long. He need to understand that timing is everything...There was this beautiful pass that Mikel dropped at about 42 minute and he needed to lay it to Ighalo but you can't change an old habit...he over carried.

Mikel definitely provided stability and experience to the team. I won't mind seeing him in the number 10 role for the Super Eagles. He has definitely earned it. My men of the match today:

Don Baba Odogwu Mikel Obi. That was a midfield masterclass. His control and quick decision making made the midfield balanced and potent in creating attacks. His unbelievable vision and quick decision to release the ball to Ighalo was the icebreaker. I was stunned and today we saw why the World missed one of the great artist of football because he did not have a career as a creative player.

He also lead with grace and was a loud voice for the team. Giving the referee the confidence to book the two central defenders of the Camerounians. This nullified their extreme harsh play on Ighalo and gave the brave striker the room to attack at will.

Mikel has class and disciplined. His presence inspires the boys and when he is at his best Nigeria triumph.

Now we can see what pep drills has done to our boy. He practically coached out Iheanacho's confidence. All the passes today nko? Were they atrocious? Thankfully, he scored but his cofidence has been really touched. I am glad he scored though cos he needs it going into the premiership games.

Like I said before this match ,Mikel Obi is the heartbeat of this team...He is a cult figure and the guys behave better when he is present. One of the most disciplined player around. He concentrates on what is going on and never loose guard.

At Safari girl,you can be forgiven because you have not the faintest idea of what Ikechukwu Ezenwa can do between the sticks. Akpeyi better soak his rosary and pray fervently.

Moses Simon, what a shift he put in. Terrific with beautiful touches.

Boosting our local leagues is the only way we can develop quality talents at a fast rate. No other way.

Its quite obvious that is the only way to develop our talents faster and make better money. Often times the players we pick from the local league are maybe in the peak or past it. As they try to find their foot in Europe and cement a place in the national team time passes and most never get past these struggle.

I know some players that would have become world beaters had they have a better platform and go international early enough..
Muri Ogunbiyi of the Champions league winning Enyimba...My favourite Nigga. Muri Ogunbiyi was a midfield maestro ,in fact, one of the best midfield I ever watched play...Take this to the bank. The brother was just past his time by the time he got to Europe.
Taye Taiwo made it but same old age caught up with him.

Obinna Nsofor was the most feared attacker in the Nigerian league in Early 2000s when he laced boot for Kwara United. Nsofor had pace,skill accuracy and mountain high confidence but that rigorous terrain of making to Europe took some years from one of the deadliest striker ever in the Nigerian league.

Abdul Rahman Bashir was another midfield genius who got ran over by the destructive Nigeria league.
The skillful and athletic Onyekachi Okonkwo and immensely talented Damian Udeh were hampered by the Nigerian league....I could go on but I probably will shed tears when I remember great talents that rot away in the corrupt and destructive Nigerian league. My guys just dey play ball without food in their stomach....SAD!

I haven't seen much of Kayode's skill. I know him as a runner but not so much of skills. And to be fair to him I haven't watched him since junior world cup. And the little time he had with Super Eagles I wasn't impressed.

From what I have seen because I don't know what you are seeing Nwakaeme is a complete point man with all the features. Strength,precision,skills and pace. No doubt,Kayode is a hustler but he is not an ideal point man.

Did somebody just say Kayode is more skillful than Nwakaeme ? Abeg ,make una fear God ooo. We can't continue making things up and actually believe in them without any modicum of facts.
