compaq desktop systems blinking red light on the power indicator and will not come up, its a problem i discovered lately on compaq desktop systems, anybody with similar experience and possible solutions in the house?

but mind you if you notice what has been said about this so called laptops, you'll see it's for kid, they kept repeating children, children, to use for their studys in school maybe in learning ABC, 123, and change the power source every 10 mins. i can as well assure you that this toy won't be lesser that $300 when it first gets here cos even 15 million production of this year will hardly serve lagos state alone, you know our population, and the few priviledged ones that manage to get it will want to sell X3 (u no, biz now).
moreso, i believe,most of us here are no kids, u can't compare a p4 or P.M intel centrino, mobile technology laptop, that can handle projects like video & sound editing, macromedia flash, corel draw, 3d animations & games and so on, with a 486 sys if you know what all these means you will know that you dont have to wait for a coming toy before you get your sys, cos u'll be disapointed that it might not be able to handle what you wanna do. also, i can assure you if it is a computer of less than $100 that you want. you av a lot of them in ikeja and other places. its just dat Hi tech guys have passed that, and such sys can't handle our kind of jobs. hope u understand. so no point waiting, get what you need today and start doing something. if it comes i'll also buy it for my kid sister. a known devil is better than an unknown angel

NIIT or no NIIT, one things is certain that it is ur interest that will drive you, i went there for enquiries and i was scared. the amount i was charged could set one up in life, i concluded it's not for poor people, went to another small computer school in abeokuta and believe me i do solve problems for some so to say NIIT guys around our place. Firstly i will advise if you can to get your own personal computer, it will help teach you a lot itself and then
go get ur training from cheaper places around and be really exposed to PRACTICALS not just lectures and histories and fashion contest guys do there. and use the remaining money to write ur professional exams say A+, MCSE, CCNA e.t.c and with that u stand more chance than any othe NIIT GUY in a job interview. more so what all employer is interested in now is what u can do practically, not the certificate u hold, cos most people can't defend the cert. remember there are over a hundred ways of passing an exam without even showing up at the exam center even in the universities, so get practical. moreso you get books and virtually any other thing you need from the internet.

that is the song taking the love world by storm now, but i wonder why people tends not to have acces to the cd, it's everywhere, in all leading cd outlets or shops, most expecially in lagos.

I think you are all making sense in the house, the cost on design a logo can be as low as free and can be as high as hundreds of thousands, depending on several factors, such as the type of business and client, the conplexity/simplisity of the logo, how individual do his own work and so on. so basically, you can't crusify anybody for charging an amount for his own service. if it's too much in your own case, you look for options.
I guess, the person that wants this job is a starter and so do not have much, fine! something can still be done. I av once said in this forum that a company called multinteractive can create logos for anybody interested at prices you won't believe. those guy did one for my little setup and believe me I am please with their work. maybe you mail them on infowells@yahoo.com. I am so sure they will do something to settle all these shits. thanks

who mentioned ms paint, that's for beginners, sorry pojutime, :: you pull stunts with photoshop and firework::. i use more of firework for most of my works but i'm aware photoshop is equally wicked in handling graphics here and i use a little of it.

Sometime you make a good impression by the kind of Biz/Complementary card you give to friends and biz associates. It says a lot about how much professional you are. Rhodalyn, maybe the kids of then will all be cartoons. Definitely, none of us here now will be around then even if u are metushela's linage, a thousand year is very far and a lot will have happened to this world. more than a thousand years ago, history and evolution made us understand that we look like baboons and apes, now see what we are today. so what gave us the impression that we won't be cartoons of something else in a thousand years time, but definately not as we look now.

Almost nothing is impossible when it comes to computer, the fact that one doesn't know the way round it doesn't mean it isn't possible. just ask a couple of guyz, u'll be suprised. you can watch anything watcheable on earth anywhere, lappy, notebook or even the monter on your table, but not 486 or p1 sha.

I am very sure by now, if the boy hasn't started anything would have even spent the 4k, so forget it, my own advise is that you stand up, go to your parents like the guty in the bible and ask them to help you out in life, or go get yourself more computer skills u might one day own and run a site like seun (nairaland). skills are the only thing you can easily trade for money this age.
