PoliticsCorps Members Seal Off Council Secretariat Over Unpaid Allowance by omenala(op): 6:18pm On Jun 11, 2011
By Jude Isiguzo - THE NATION, JUNE 9, 2011

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Badagry, Lagos yesterday sealed off the council secretariat over unpaid allowances.
The corps members said they have not been paid thier monthly allowance of N5,000 by the council for over five months.
The protesting corps members, who are serving in Badagry Local Government Area, Badagry West Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) and Olorunda LCDA, stormed the council secretariat at Ajara in the morning and blocked the entrance for several hours.
Some of the aggrieved corps members carried placards on which they listed the challenges they are facing.
It was gathered that the peaceful protest paralysed activities at the secretariat.
The Liaison Officer for the corps members, Mr Jubril Isah, said only the Badagry council was owing them five months arrears.
Isah said: "Badagry Local Government Area is owing us five months in arrears of N5,000 monthly allowance that is due us and that is the reason for the protest."
IslamRe: No Matter The Politics: Christrians And Muslims Will Never Live In Unity by omenala(m): 3:20pm On May 18, 2011
@ Lfj, who told you christians and jews are not viewed as unbelievers? Have you read the history of jerusalem, makor, khartum etc do you know how many jews, christians, pagans and even european christian settlers that were beheaded for being unbelievers by saladin and other islamic jihadists? Do you know how many women were plundered, raped, forced into marriage with the same people that killed thier fathers, brothers and husbands or sold into slavery by Mohamed and his band of jihadists? Do you your self see me as a believer? Does boko haram do? The truth is bitter but it still remains the truth, islam was founded on violence and will always be associated with violence!

@ jenifa, am not surprised, keep trying to defend the undefendable, as long as you've have alhaji's c.o.c.k in you, you'll keep spilling trash.

@ op, Very enlightening.

I've got a question for nairalanders, if u were a parent will you let your children listen to a message preached by ;

(a) Jesus Christ - who preached loving your neighbor as yourself.

or

(b) Mohamed - who preached all what was in the op?
PoliticsRe: Who Is A Lagosian ? by omenala(m): 1:38pm On May 18, 2011
The truth of the matter is that if yorubas(and most nigerians) were not tribalistic it wouldn't be difficult for any one from any ethnic group to win an election in lagos, but instead you will be seen as an outsider and a threat. They would rather gang up against you and give the position to a notorious adedibu/tokyo type of human being, instead of a quiet spoken, law abiding polished igbo or delta man who has lived in the same street or community with them for decades, of whom they have solicited various favours from in the past. These nigerians have contributed immensly to thier neighborhoods(i.e security, tax & electricity). And yet some of them claim to be sophisticated, is this how sophisticated people act and reason? If so then its no big deal. Just call me a cave man!
PoliticsRe: Who Is A Lagosian ? by omenala(m): 1:10pm On May 18, 2011
I was born (luth for that matter) and bred in lagos, i've spent more time in lagos than any other state even my state of origin but still i see myself as a lagosian and i intend to contest for an elective post in the future, any one who doesnt like it can boil stone chop! By the way did the earlier original settlers in lagos speak yoruba? I doubt this cos i've listened to some indigenous lagosians speak and it doesnt sound anything like yoruba(sounds more ijaw), methinks yorubas are the ones trying to claim lagos. The idea that yorubas are the only true lagosians is silly and ridiculous, it makes me wonder if these nairalanders making these statements are enlightened adults at all. @ justcash u dey make sense jaare!
PoliticsRe: Mass Defection From PDP Looms In South-East Over Zoning by omenala(m): 12:21pm On May 18, 2011
@ op, stop causing unnecessary panic! We should not allow politicians with personal interests to manipulate us, there is still alot to gain from gej's government.
PoliticsRe: Speakership: S’east Govs, Ohanaeze Should Apologise To Ndigbo – Cpc Guber by omenala(m): 12:47pm On May 12, 2011
Abagworo
This whole drama is disgraceful and makes me kind of ashamed of all Igbo leaders and their apologists here on nairaland. The best option should have been just supporting an upright man that will improve Nigeria irrespective of his ethnicity but they would not listen.2ndly zoning and sharing of whatever should have been a thing of the past.Competence should be the order of the day. These are the reasons I love Buhari. If only 10 Igbo men are the most competent let them occupy all.

:

It amazes me how these anti gej people reason, we in the south east did not vote for jonathan because of juicy appointments. No, we voted en mass for a candidate that we feel (and know) will bring development to the region. The cpc governorship candidate and all other anti gej nairalanders should shut the hell up. I believe gej is a man of his word and its too early to draw conclusions(or to say i told you so), cos i know damn well that buhari would have
done worse. Ohaneze should ignore this cpc f.o.o.l!
PoliticsRe: God Bless Akala by omenala(m): 4:25pm On May 11, 2011
How much is 18000 minimum wage that scares our govt so much? Cant a country like ours afford to pay more? Why should the govt view this as a burden? 12yrs into democracy yet there is no constant electricity, bad roads, pensioners are being owed and labourers cant even get their new minimum wage. So i ask where has the nations money(billions and trillions) been going to all these years? Pls i need an answer.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Alleges 6m Fraudulent Votes For Buhari by omenala(m): 10:16am On May 08, 2011
Revomind, must you blame the pdp for everything? Jonathan's move will discourage others who intend to use fraudulent means to win elections in future.
@ the op, its obvious your anti gej and will continue to whine about anythiing gej does for the next 4 years, i just wish all you loosers would stop boring us on nairaland with ur anti gej threads, they're so lame.

Its every ones duty to maintain peace and order in the society. We shouldn't rely on gej or buhari alone to restore peace, religious leaders, parents etc can contribute, the people destroying lives and property are not ghosts, its time our so called good mallams, ( if there are any) point out those that came out to cause trouble, to the security operatives. But If they(cpc, arewa etc) choose to keep mute and continue to interact, live and worship in the same place with those murderers, then it can be said that they are birds of a feather, an evil lot that we have to seperate from at all costs!

Yes there were shootings in Imo but the details are not clear on how many people died. Its every ones duty to maintain peace and order in the society. @ ndu chuks, i giv up, SMH

@ Murtalaa, i understand how it feels. There's a south african saying that goes 'There cannot be love where there has been blood'. So northerners like you or buhari shouldn't expect us not to harbour bitterness against you guys. I was in owerri during the presidential elections, all political parties held a last minute meeting & agreed to support gej. Cpc should get this into their head, We did not rig! Buhari was lucky to even get the few votes he got. I repeat, the way you love buhari in the north is different from the way we view him over here. We no send buhari period!

@ Ibrahim, God bless you for your post. Am happy we have someone as enlightened as you, from the north on nairaland, you could teach block heads like namfav & alh harem a thing or two.
PoliticsRe: The Hausas (an Alternate Pespective) by omenala(m): 12:19pm On Apr 22, 2011
Ndu chuks, stop trying to justify evil. what wot dont understand is that we southerners are different from the northerners, i repeat its not easy to take human life! Just because the candidate of your choice lost an election. There is poverty all over nigeria and we have all suffered neglect from our corrupt leaders but yet do u see us in the south killing non indigeines cos of religion or politics. Look lets call a spade a spade this people are animals that should be dealt with mercilessly, putting the blame on poverty, corruption etc is simply playing the ostrich.
PoliticsRe: Violence In Kaduna By Buhari/CPC Supporters by omenala(m): 5:38pm On Apr 18, 2011
When can we divide this country? How long shall we continue to deceive our selves? There's no such thing as one Nigeria! If the election was rigged let them go to court with proof. We are no longer in the stone age! What beats me is why northerners on nairaland support this evil, abi nah because gej is a gentleman from a minority ethnic group? If Obj or any other major Ethnic Grp was in power una for make noise?
PoliticsRe: Violence In Kaduna By Buhari/CPC Supporters by omenala(m): 4:49pm On Apr 18, 2011
So because buhari is losing we should all die? Do other ethnic groups resort to violence cos thier candidate lost? Did the yoruba's go berserk when MKO Abiola was robbed of his victory and murdered? This shows the level of ignorance and selfishness of northerner's. My God how did we end up in the same country wit these animals?
Nairaland GeneralRe: Kaduna Is On Fire by omenala(m): 4:16pm On Apr 18, 2011
This shows the level me ignorance and selfishness that is in the north, so if buhari does not win we should all die? How many other tribes in the country have resorted to violence cos thier candidate lost an election? When MKO Abiola was denied victory and even killed, did the yoruba nation go berserk?
PoliticsRe: The SE (Igbo) Should Be Commended For Supporting GEJ by omenala(m): 1:03pm On Apr 17, 2011
@ omo tier and remi, were you expecting Igbos to vote buhari? You guys need to wake up and face reality! Howmany hausa/fulanis would vote a SS or SE presidential candidate? If the reverse was the case.( if gej was a retired xtain ijaw general who had ruled in the past and is presently contesting for the presidency) would he have massive support in the north?
PoliticsRe: I Don Surrender! Results From The North. by omenala(m): 12:26pm On Apr 17, 2011
