DMerciful:I'm not sure you read and properly understood what I wrote. Besides the fact I couldn't access a PC, the time frame was just impossible. Came back only yesterday evening. In this age of fraud and all that, you think it would be wise asking folks for their BVN? Wasn't ready to tarnish my reputation trying to help. As per requesting the info at the beginning, you don't expect me to ask for folks to provide me with info they've not requested from above. And you sure can't tell those at the top how to do their job. |
kettykin:But the news is STRICTLY about FDI, and not domestic investments. Even the title says so. ![]() |
Good day all. Thought I'd reply all involved individually through email but that would mean too much work. As you may know, just a couple of weeks ago, I created a thread requesting that 20 nairalanders sent me some information for possible consideration for some opportunity. I got well over 40 entries, out of which I choose eighteen. I had the names of those candidates selected added to the list which was dispatched to Abuja. We were hopeful all will work out right. Three days ago, I got a feedback requesting that a particular format of the list be created using Excel, with several additional information requested of the applicants, including personal and spousal BVN. Unfortunately, when the mail came through, yours truly was nowhere close to a PC as I was neck deep in some critical work in a rural area in CRS. In addition, I wasn't comfortable asking people I've never met in my life, and hardly know, to provide such sensitive information. Furthermore, a deadline for re- submision was set at August 11. Even if I had had all the information, it would have been nearly impossible for me to meet the deadline. I don't want to reveal much here but two persons here who know me fairly personally know what it's about. I would simply be on the lookout as these opportunities come every once in a while. But this one has sure passed us by. I'm sorry folks. We march on regardless. God bless us all. |
Seeing Turkey, Rwanda and Yugoslavia on the list tells one it is completely nonsensical. I wonder why people tey to make negative news, even though false, trend at all cost. |
The fact they're asking for this eerily suggests they're the very ones behind the insecurity. |
ThatFairGuy:Kai. This Sheriff's picture always cracks me up. ![]() Some of you guys are just too troublesome. ![]() |

Kissiemu:Onions isn't a major crop from Benue. Benue gets onions from the North. |
One of the original publications was ran by Newswatch. Tried to get a link to it but came up empty. Nevertheless, the TheCable link can suffice. |
Lalasticlala, it wouldnt be such a bad idea moving this to the fp today so we can see what's happening in the commission today has been happening for some time now, perhaps since its creation. Seems no progress has been made in curbing the corruption in the commission. Imagine spending such a humongous amount on mere juju! The cable did a throwback on it here: https://www.thecable.ng/flashback-how-ex-nddc-chairman-squandered-n1bn-on-juju-in-2008 Cc: Mynd44. |
Beremx:Sorry ma'am. Been extremely busy lately. Will reply all involved individually. ![]() |
Of what use really is all this disclosure when even the Niger Deltans themselves have told us these are mere pickpockets and that if corruption must be fought, it must begin elsewhere and not with the NDDC? It hurts deeply especially when these information are made public when in the end, no one goes to jail, no one is hanged, and no one loses their fortune. Just a rollercoaster with no end. Damn shame. |
southniyikaye:Can you make a sugarcane juice making machine? How much would it cost? |
I strongly suspect those two pictures aren't related. The second picture without any crowd gathered around the flame makes the claim of the report incredible. |
OiOi:I sight you. Lol. Good morning to you too. Will contact you guys back stage individually. |
helinues:Why I didn't bother replying the dotard. Not worth my while. |
Sammy07:That is exactly what I'm saying. I've seen some of you who once hardly made any comment supportive of Tinubu turning around to strongly support him these days. This is what you get when outsiders gang up to turn one of your brothers, a brother whom you think might have wronged you and not the outsiders, to their number one punching bag! It is a no brainer. You're bound to push back. But they say I'm not making sense. Toh, make we dey watch naw. Folks don't understand politics. In order to destroy one politically, it is best to start hacking away from his roots. Ironically, the attitude of PDP supporters is rather fertilizing Tinubu's political empire. |
Bannylove13:So much bullocks in a single post. Not even an electron of sense was made, let alone an atom. You are simply too dull for comfort. Sounding like a garage hustler. |
Bannylove13:You're simply running around throwing tantrums like a confused little kid. This is hardly a place for your kind if you should know. Take this gutter behavior elsewhere. |
anonimi:What you're saying validates my point even more Mr Crayon. The kind of attack he is under today is worlds apart from what was thrown at him in those years mentioned and the opposite is the case for how strongly Yorubas are defending him!! Isn't that very obvious? How many of the current (at least those we've known for a long time on politics section) pro Tinubu posters today did you see STRONGLY supporting him back then? What do you think is behind the change of attitude? Keep attacking. |
Good evening. This piece is written in response to: 1. They unrelenting attack on the person of Bola Tinubu by PDP supporters. 2. The anti-Tinubu's opinion thread that made it to the front page earlier. I'll be as brief as possible because there's a football match to catch. Without a doubt, most Nigerians are already looking forward to 2023 and politicians and their strategists are already laying landmines for those they imagine would constitute the greatest stumbling block to the realization of their aspirations. To this end, PDP, even though they have yet to give the slightest hint of their flag bearer, has deployed their supporters and surrogates to initiate a relentless barrage of attacks on whom they suspect would be flying the APC's banner- Tinubu. Nowhere is this more evident than on Nairaland. There's a problem with this strategy and it has everything to so with human psychology. Before the advent of the current political jousting, the Yorubas, not surprisingly, weren't as pro-Tinubu as we see them today- at least, not online. This is because they tend not to be as politically intransigent as other ethnicities in Nigeria. They couldn't care less about the intermittent jabs the man suffers, mostly from Yorubas themselves! Today, the story is totally different, no thanks to the endless attacks on his person by not only PDP supporters, but people they (Yorubas) consider OUTSIDERS. What we are witnessing is a herd resistance to what the Yorubas consider an attack, not only on Tinubu, but on Yoruba interests. As long as the attacks aren't coming from WITHIN, the collective defence being put up for Tinubu should be expected, the staunchest of which, ironically, would come from folks who were once totally indifferent about Tinubu or whatsoever fate he suffers. Look at it this way: when IPOB attacked Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Germany, it appeared as though most Igbos endorsed the action, with some saying Igbos are not fond of tolerating errant politicians of Igbo extraction. They applauded the perpetrators and scornfully mocked the victim. But, the moment OUTSIDERS attempted to mock and "insult" the same Ekweremadu, they were rebuffed by the same people that had mocked and insulted him!! The counter productivity of this strategy should be obvious to PDP and her supporters by now. The more you attack and scorn Tinubu, the more Yorubas would push back, and the more the man tends to grow in popularity. I'm not sure these attacks has turned any pro-Tinubu observer to an anti-Tinubu one, but I am VERY SURE it has turned some indifferent observers into his staunch supporters. I've no doubt in my mind we all desire a better and prosperous Nigeria, let's try and go about it the right way. Unwittingly making a hero of someone you consider a devious villain would hardly help your course. Review your strategy PDP. God bless Nigeria.

GamalNasser:First off, I've NEVER made any comment about Trump and whatever ventilators he says he would send ANYWHERE. When you want to tell a lie to mine for likes, lie about your father and not me. People would likely give you more attention when you talk about him than me. When in not commenting, your head is stuck deep in my rectum. When in commenting, the same thing. Dont you have any shame or self esteem? If you desire to lick the wrinkled balls of an old white man, do so as it is your right. Just dont invite me to your stupid debauchery Freaking loony. |
From the very beginning, human civilization has witnessed the inevitable rise and fall of great empires- from the Persian through the Roman to the British, with the passage of time. None can last forever. Perhaps, we are witnessing the sun set on the American Empire, and naturally so. They've courted and have been courting too many great enemies, not the least of which are China and Russia, while relying heavily on their military might to bully or bludgeon their way through every problem they find themselves. The interference of such countries in extremenly sensitive domestic affairs of a sovereign nation never ends well. But you can't blame them, the elections in US are becoming more and more compromised. Even friends of US in NATO and beyond (except perhaps Saudi Arabia and Israel) are fast becoming alienated from them, and this to me even signposts greater danger than their domestic racial problems. You need very strong and loyal friends and allies to tame an evermore belligerent foe like Russia or China. |
Francisayo:Your accusation is untrue. There is no CHARITY even within the firs 20. Plus, I simply picked the names at random to avoid favouring those I feel are always agreeable with me politically. I'm sorry if you weren't selected. Perhaps when another opportunity comes up, I'd make sure. |
Karleb:Please what is Shalaye? |
bgates:You're welcome bro. God bless us all. |
bgates:Bro take it easy. I've seen your quotes. Cases are being attended to. It's not a one day stuff. |
Unnerve:I'm a staunch wildlife enthusiast so I know some of these things. Lol. It has always been my desire to go on a three days safari. The glitz and glamour of big cities don't even thrill me- would rather spend a week in Kruger National Park than in Dubai. Maybe I'm a wierd person. |
Ishilove:Reminds me of Laycon. Let's always keep him in our prayers. I wonder what sort of *..ship* or *..ment* he is engaged in. ![]() |
Unnerve:One is a lion (the type you have in Kruger national park or the Serengeti), while the other is a Mountain Lion. You can tell them apart mostly by their habitat and the mountain lion is a bit more furry while the males have no manes unlike their Lion cousins. Right? Pocohantas, how would you like a safari in SA? |
