Everyone seems to be excited about this but theres one critical question no one seems to be asking: Was an EIA carried out before doing this? huh

oka4ugoo:
In Anambra State and most of the South East States, citizens drill borehole for their water supply, engage vigilante for their protection, buy generator for their power supply, pay virtually for everything ranging from school fees, hospital bills, sanitation bills... Some towns for example Oraukwu town in Anambra State, indigenes construct roads leading to their respective mansions

The only thing an average Igbo man wants from their respective State govt is just good roads and a good waste management but unfortunately our state govt lacks the will to do just these 2 things.

I keep asking myself what exactly do these people intend to achieve by making lives difficult for people.
I don't know about the north, but this is the case most likely in all states in the South. We do virtually everything for ourselves, and sometimes even pay taxes for the boreholes we drill with our own monies!

It is just pathetic. Our governments have failed us at all levels, from infrastructure to security.

I hope Buhari uses horsewhip to chase them out of there. They should go meet the leaders of the NASS to settle their beef. They're all collaborators in stealing.

Useless leaders and useless contractors.

Hustlers will always hustle.

They're simply looking for a meal ticket, simple, just like TAN of old.

Tinubu hasn't told anyone he intends to run for office, and I pretty much doubt he will. Those people behind all this had better look for a more tangible venture to occupy their time.

I'm not blinded by anything, I frequently call out my own people too for their let ups, I'm aware of my biases and prejudices, But I won't stand and watch anyone call out Igbo people unnecessarily or put certain stereotypical labels on them, everybody should focus on their own people and failings, Nobody should be hated because of their hard earned success
So you have seen that you LIED and someone indeed made a disparaging remark on the second page.

Accept that and move on. In addition, you could quote him and tell him what he did was out of line.

You cant go about trying to remove specs in the eyes of others when your brothers have massive boulders in their eyes.

Seun, why should Muslims or anybody be allowed to comment on Christian’s post without having to accept Jesus Christ as their lord and personal savior but we have to accept Mohamad as the prophet to alla. It’s not fair. You are a tech man if that’s what you would call yourself. Look at your fellow tech men around the world. Their minds have been evolving. I feel like you have just been stucked in 2005. Common look at your emojis but why the hell shoujd peope acecpt ala before commenting and the same preference is not given to Christians? What the hell is that? Isn’t that hypocrisy? Look at quota reddit and the rest. All you tech guys on this app, please for your next startup, look at creating a community where there is freedom okay? Please Seun, evolve.
Stop crying over that.

It was made because we dont see Muslim going about insulting Christianity the way our so called Christian's on the forum attack everything Islam, calling all of them terrorists. Whereas they mind their own business when we create christian religious threads, or even when they dare to comment, they don't go about calling us unprintable names like we do them.

The drama from the first family entertaining the world on regular basis could only come from a man like Buhari's family!

All zombies must receive sense before 2020 is over.

Sagay is a disgrace of a PACAC chairman!
And by *zombies receiving sense*, you mean by joining you people in supporting pdp, right?

If you people think my being critical of Buhari somehow means I'm supportive of pdp, then your emptiness upstairs is far worse than I had imagined.

You people call those who, despite supporting APC, still criticize them, zombies, yet you people who claim you aren't zombies would organize a festival to celebrate every fart and facial matter thrown at your faces by pdp.

I am first and foremost, a Nigerian. My patriotism and loyalty is to country, before anything else. That is why you see I could still criticize the government I support when she's erring. But that cant be said about you lot. You loyalty, zombie like loyalty, is to pdp and nothing else. That is the reason why even when a good deed is done to and by the country, it irks you lot. You feel any good that happens somehow depletes Pdp's chances of getting back in Aso rock.

You people are the quintessential zombies without a doubt.

If they like, they should create a development commission for ALL STATES, the results would be the same as that of NDDC.

Coalition of Igbo Groups has called on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to resign or face impeachment, while also calling calling on the Peoples Democratic Party to immediately expel Senate’s minority leader, Senator Enyinnayah Abaribe, from the party.
These people know how ethnically charged the Nigerian political atmosphere is at the moment. Comments like this should kept at bay for now. It doesn't help anyone and does far more harm than good.

It is just like weve now found a way to tolerate the killings of our brothers as long as the murderer isnt from another ethnic group. It is one thing for Yorubas to make such a call and another for Igbos to do same. Same way a black man could call a black man Nigger but a white man isn't allowed to.

Regardless, indeed, if he wants to sink the party or dismember it into its constituent parts, he can. Same way Buhari can, and that is the scary reality about APC.

Don't know why there are lots of hypocrites on this platform, a good majority of guys screaming Op don't do it, flee would have started humping the lady wayback... and for the ladies wait until your spouses abandon you for that long and see if yours wouldn't be worse.

Op this is not an advice but I'm putting it straight up to you...its just a matter of time before you start sleeping with that lady that is ofcourse if you haven't started already.

Every man develops that predictory instinct ones such situation presents itself, resisting it is like fighting against your very nature..it has nothing to do with self control, it's in the gene..thesame instinct that compels a day old chick to kawa when it sees a bigger bird hover above it..

Op you cannot resist that urge, you just don't have that power., the only remedy is if either of you vacate from that vicinity.
This is the most sensible and realistic comment here.

Most people are just trying to present themselves as moral beacons before the public, but deep down, they themselves know that nairaland wouldn't even hear about it if such an opportunity presents itself.

Some might even be doing it currently or might have done it in recent past.

The best solution (though not a foolproof one) is to relocate from tha area. Simple.
