I can bet my last breath 3/4 of these people aren't lawyers. Just hired hands with perhaps ability to read and write.

How anyone thinks lawyers are above the law beats me.

Some things I see make me have doubts about the suitability of democracy to an average African.

You won't find folks like iykedare or Myparadise here to admonish or reprimand the

The natural course of events suggests people grow wiser as they grow older- why in Jesus' gracious name does that seem like a fallacy when some people are involved??

They are upset because the money would come from other sources where they have quite limited access. What does it matter if government or private investors' money is being used to, say, construct a road?? No be the same road e go still be?? "Through NDDC" my foot!!

The same NDDC that was only able to complete just about 12% of it's projects over 5years while they had already made payments of approximately 80% to contractors!!

These elders are the major beneficiaries of the sleaze going on in such places, hence their insistence that monies meant for the region be channelled through them. The so called elders of the region are the worst enemies of that region.

Firstly, the point made is simple, the sheer hypocrisy in ordering the arrest of journalists, confiscation of newspapers and others whilst coming out today to act a saint and deceive the world that you never did such has just been exposed by those reports posted.

Oh yes, elrufai wasnt arrested doesnt mean other less influential opposition personalities (including journalists) werent arrested. What do you have to say about that?
You have so much time honestly. I don't respond to such nonsense.

News: LEADERSHIP Newspaper, Detained Journalists Released, Lambast Nigeria Police

LEADERSHIP, the Nigerian newspaper four of whose journalists were detained this week on the orders of President Goodluck Jonathan, has indicated it will challenge the infraction on its rights.

“The police have no right to arrest and illegally
detain our journalists – or any other journalist –
as they have done; we shall not let this violation
go unchallenged,” the management of the
company said in a press statement in in which it
announced that the journalists have been let go.

It said that two of the journalists, Tony
Amokeodo and Chibuzo Ukaibe, were only released conditionally, to report at the police headquarters at 10am every day.

“We wish to restate that these conditions are
obnoxious and unacceptable in any democratic
society,” the statement stressed.

News: Six journalists arrested in Nigeria over presidential letter

Jon Gambrell 12 Oct 2011 19:05

Police in Nigeria raided a newspaper office on
Wednesday after detectives arrested four
journalists over the publication of a purported
letter from the nation’s former president
instructing its current leader to fire government
officials.

Police descended on the Abuja office of the
Nation newspaper as reporters working there
fled onto nearby streets, said the journalists who spoke on condition of anonymity out of fear of being arrested.

Officers apparently were searching for material to identify the source who gave the newspaper the alleged letter from former president Olusegun Obasanjo to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Pathological liar and a crook he is and thinks everyone is as forgetful as he is.

I'll keep saying this: anyone who thinks iPod is really interested in any trash called Biafura needs to have their heads examined. iPod is nothing but a propaganda tool created and nurtured by PDP and activated after their shameful defeat at the polls.

Hasn't it occurred to their gullible fans they support and represent everything PDP supports and represents??

They've implicitly told their fans these truths on several statements put up by them but their hate infested hearts and minds have insulated both faculties from any possibility of discerning "the message" beneath the message.

iPod is here to stay as long as PDP remains the opposition party- you can take that to the bank.

Anyways, Happy sunday.
Why e be say na my own dey always pepper una pass?? Do you see what your brothers do around here?? Have you ever cautioned or reprimanded them?? Did we have stuffs like this prior 2015 when we played opposition?? Weren't your brothers the ones who started spreading hate messages on the internet and radio soon after your preferred candidate lost the presidential election??

I once created a thread calling for a cessation of hostilities, at least for two weeks and see if we can build some love from there- it was an honest call since I don't like what happens around here myself. Your brothers were the first to arrive the thread to hurl insults at me and everyone else, calling me a coward! I responded to none of them for TWO WEEKS since I made the call and was determined to honour it even if no one else did!

Where were you to caution them??

Seeing no one wants to act like a normal human being, I decided to have it their way.

I am open to ceasefire but that has to come from you folks first. And until I see you start cautioning your brothers who are notorious for spreading lies and hatred around here, I'd take this admonition of yours utterly hypocritical.

Happy sunday to you too.

Bros,

It is a case of idiocy multiplying and propagating at a surprising pace. I mean, how on earth could people be willfully daft? but I believe we shouldn't give up on daft wailers after all. Even the useless Authority took the jaundiced reportage off their website
The message has already been sent and the damage done. Even an official statement retracting the story this point would be of no use.

They knew what they were doing when they put up that lie and have achieved their purpose of doing so.

Tomorrow, some spiteful ignoramuses would go sumasaulting into my mentions like monkeys high on steroids (apologies to Modath).

The political elite of these people are the ones fanning the embers of hatred between them and the state and capitalise on it to feather their political nest.

It was for this same reason Ike Ekweremadu wore their traditional masquerade attire to a courtroom when called to answer to his crimes- and the gullible folks all rose in unison to his defence claiming "Nigerian state is persecuting igbos!!". Can you believe that!

What a shame.
