NOETHNICITY:
its easy for u to say that S sudan is better off the way it is, while u sit in the comfort of ur home. Put ursef in the pples shoes only then will u be able to see things from their perspective.
That is the point. Most of these people beating the drums of war on social media are people with no experience whatsoever of anything close to WAR, not even an armed robbery attack!

Aljazeera featured S Sudan on Inside Story this morning and I couldn't believe the pictures I saw, coupled with what the guests of the programme were saying- it is just soo unfortunate, especially given the fanfare and pomp with which they celebrated the birth of the young country five years ago.

Like you said, any "liberation" birthed by warlords would give rise to nothing but a balcanised entity with centrifugal forces battling for supremacy everywhere you look.

Olu20090:
How does this affect you? You imposter yoruba man pretending to be Igbo from Imo state. Get away from here!
A Ugandan with the name Olu calls someone else who's NEVER claimed to be either from the SW or SE an "imposter".

Have always said it- iPod dictionary bears stark contrasts with english dictionary- you people need to define every word you use so you can communicate better. Saying this because I doubt the word "imposter" as being used by you is that which we are used to.

I believe you must be one of those begging for alms on that famous thread. Instead of you making good use of your time to better your well-being, all you do is crawl around the forum spreading hate against a people who don't give a Bleep about you. I pray you don't remain in this state forever.

Politics › Re: Falana: Buratai Should Either Resign Or Be Sacked By Buhari by omenka(m):
Truth be told, this is one veeery tough choice to make given the valour of our troops in the NE theatre ever since Buratai assumed his position.

Indeed he must have dipped his finger in the cookie jar in the previous admin and should be dealt with accordingly, but I fear for what would become of the war against the terrorists upon his removal- like peering into a dingy room out of which very eerie sounds are coming- frightening prospect to say the least.

Come what may, Baba knows how best to handle this immensely dicey situation- one false move and we are back where the Ineffectual Buffoon left us in the NE.

They know what they are doing, but simply insist on trudging along the shameful path because they feel it spites the ruling party and her supporters.

Lol. Omenka u no go kill me. The most probable thing is that it was referring to Goodluck Jonathan. If u see we hate Buhari in Kaduna South today will u say they are referring to Salisu Buhari the ex-speaker of the House of Reps.
Wrong!! Don't be so presumptuous.

The only two scenarios in which such a presumption would have held good ground is:

1. If Jonathan Goodluck were still the president.

2. If this was a campaign period.

The op was silly bringing this crap here and even calling on the mods.

This has got to be one of the most foolish threads I've ever seen. Why being unnecessarily presumptuous?? Which Jonathan are they referring to? Is there only one Jonathan in Nigeria?? What if some riffraff down the street is called Jonathan and that message is meant for him??

Then you went ahead to call Mynd and Lala- so they can do what exactly??

You had better stick to your bloody romance section and leave politics the hell alone.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Has Finished Me: Lessons Learnt by omenka(m): 11:56pm On Jul 08, 2016
Mathemagician1:
On the contrary. What I saw on that thread was a proof of Nigerians narrow mindedness with a crave for quick fix. It was a clear indication that Nigerians are OK with the crumbs they get from the politicians and it shows just how the politicians exploit the people by keeping them in abject poverty and giving them crumbs from time to time whenever they cry for a revolution.

The Op spoke deeply about the insensitivity of the Government to the plight of the people. Kind of like a revolutionary call that normally would ignite fierce anger in our mind. But Nigerians being Nigerians hijacked the thread and turned it into a jamboree. Nothing is taken seriously in this country.

Out of the blue someone offered to donate N5000 to 2 people, another person offered N4000 each to 5 people while someone else offered 50,000 to 10 people and it went on and on like a bonanza, completely defeating the essence of the thread. What fuckeryhuh

After these generous donations have been exhausted then what? Does it solve the problem of unemployment the OP talked about? Does it solve the hunger or curb inflation? Is N5000 what Nigerian graduates need to start up a business. Nigerians are truly very narrow minded, majority of the people lack critical thinking skills.

Such a pathetic situation we've found ourselves.
God bless you a billion times!!!

In fact, I wanted to create a thread on this but just couldn't bring myself to type.

When someone somewhere said the thread has "kick-started the revolution we seek", I was like wtf!! If anything, the thread is an indisputable proof there can NEVER be a popular revolution in this country because of mass poverty and hunger!!

The thread started on a good note, but when some generous folks offered to help, the actual essence of the thread was abandoned and everyone started asking for money!

These were just modest but very kind Nigerians doing good- imagine how much more a politician can dole out to a protesting crowd for them to abandon a course!

We never ready for this country at all at all.

Heard they discussed me in their little whatsapp coven of darkness and celebrated my ban no end- hailing one of their piglets for squeeling and grunting so bad it had me break a rule and earned me a ban.

Goes to show how frustrated and jobless they are. How could a group of people congregate at a place only to discuss how to chase someone out of Nairaland??

Miserable things.
Politics › Re: What Change Means To A Resident Of Borno (pics) by omenka(m): 1:39pm On Jul 07, 2016
Some comments on this thread show some people who claim to be christians are nothing but morally depraved beasts in human form.

How could anyone who call themselves human be upset about a people celebrating the fact that they now sleep peacefully?? How does it make you happier if they are tormented by some bloodthirsty beasts?? What fulfilment is there in seeing a people die for courses for which they bear no responsibility??

Just the other day, the only comment one could come up with when a thread showed a Boko Haram spy that was killed was "Buhari is a very useless man", sad that a terrorist was killed!!

I honestly regret sharing a common national boundary with these beasts.

****

They said it is land set aside for "Sights and services" scheme and some **** here are talking about grazing. What concerns sights and services with grazing? To make matters even worse, Jonathan initiated that scheme and it covers every state of the federation. Other states are utilising the lands for that purpose (accommodation and recreation) and Anambra state revoked theirs. But since it is coming from the land of the "untouchables" ****the fg should simply fold her hands and watch them do as they please.

Why didn't they object to it when the ineffectual buffoon was mapping out the land for that purpose??

People just keep coming here to show shat ignorant fools they are everyday- simple "sights and services" dem no sabi. Smh.
