Omenka, have you even bothered to find out who was responsible for the massacre in Agatu, your home state? Did you write anything about that or even condemned the President's silence?
Oga oo!! Must I write about Agatu?? Na wa oo!!

Must I come to the forum to grovel before some people and insult the president before they agree I've done enough??

Do you know anything I do beyond the things I do on this forum??

Agatu, Agatu, Agatu all the time. Is Agatu the only place that has been attacked in Benue state??

Once Omenka says anything, next thing he sees is "Agatu bla bla bla..."

This una stuff dey bore me abeg.

He who has ears let them hear. It's left for the "intelligent" ponder about.

When ex-president Goodluck Jonathan commented that his brethren was not responsible for the Oct 1, and someone in South Africa later claimed responsibility, all hell wasn't let loose
Wow!!!!!! God bless you for bringing this up brother!! Imagine we forgot this entirely!!

PEOPLE what can you all say about this??

When the first ever bomb went off in Eagle's square on October first, MEND claimed responsibility ONLY FOR A SITTING PRESIDENT TO ANNOUNCE TO THE WORLD THEY WERE INNOCENT WITHOUT FIRST CARRYING OUT ANY INVESTIGATION!

Where were these people condemning the Northern governors today when that happened??

Now we have another big question!

It's only a slave that can lament about a massacre in Enugu, when more people died in his Benue, his home state.
Stale and boring. Can't you lot see how repetitive you sound?? Get something else to throw at me than the "slave", "Agatu people are being killed", "Benue people are being massacred" lines.

You care about the truth but it seems you don't care about human lives otherwise you said nothing about the attrocities only to speak out for the voiceless Fulanis.
Who speaks for people of Agatu then?
I don't care about human lives yet I sympathised with the victims of the barbarism and said I hope the culprits responsible are caught and severely dealt with in my opening remarks. Let me guess, you didn't bother to read the op because it didn't matter to you, right??

Secondly, I don't speak for no one but myself. The Agatus have their elders and reps to speak for them. My opinion is my opinion and you can't force me to say the things you want to hear.

And where did the idea I'm from Agatu even come from?? What is with you people, me and Agatu all the timehuh

Why don't you people mention me and Guma or Katsina-alahuh

If that post was false shame on d person that posted it. Though me I don't support falsehood, anyway u playing ur own part to prove a point but in all these let's not be carried away from d true situation on ground. It's unfortunate that we don't have a good forensic dept in this country that should help in resolving the killings rather those in charge of affairs will prefer to play politics. Well done
@ bold. God bless you.

Our problems in this country are so vast and deeply rooted that sometimes when I think about them, I feel so dejected!! How much would it cost to set up a modern forensic lab where evidences gathered from crime scenes as these we are talking about could be analysed??

We don't even have a reliable population database!!

What have or leader been doing since 1960??

This is so depressing.

@ 1. People are being killed in what is meant to be their safe havens. It is our hope the killers are apprehended and dealt with accordingly.

@ 2. We don't know, neither do you. That is why we are saying we should refrain from making such dangerous generalisations as tagging them Fulanis.

Someone says "Buhari's people are killing your people and that is who you are asking us to support."

You see, that is the picture these events are meant to point in our minds, reason why "Fulani" must be attached to all incidences of clashes involving herdsmen!!

They desire us to hate Buhari because "his people" are "killing people".

Comments like this makes the incidences all the more suspicious!

Bro, no be their love I dey look for and I really no care if they like me. What I care about is TRUTH. Once I seek it and speak it, I'm at peace with myself and that very important. If one can't be at peace with oneself, how can they be at peace with the environment which encompasses their neighbour??

Check this out. Today, a thread was created regarding one regurgitated propaganda of Buhari having an agenda to "islamise" (I wonder what that even means) Nigeria and posted a pic of Julian Assange bearing a foreign newspaper that carried the news, the UK guardian.

I did a quick google search, brought out the original picture in which the newspaper he held bore, rather, a story of the war in Afghanistan and where the portrait of Buhari was placed, there was a picture of a US soldier!! The picture was a complete photoshop and the story totally false!!

After posting both pictures side by side, showing the thread is a satanic lie, someone completely ignored the fact the op lied and photoshoped a picture of Assange and rather attacked me over my post!!

Tell me my brother, if na you, wetin you go tell that kind person??

Well done Omenka for this brilliant piece. For an insight into how sinister the press can get regarding this issue, kindly peruse the thread I created yesterday https://www.nairaland.com/3080254/rejoinder-sultan-condemned-herdsmen-attacks

The fact remains that those that seek to gain political capital from the utterly condemnable atrocities of the criminal herdsmen will continue to be disappointed because nothing they try can change their present unfavorable and frankly laughable political circumstances.

The frustrated ones using the attacks as a cover to cast aspersions on the President and profile his people are the most pitiable because PMB will continue to be President, and Fulanis will continue to be Fulanis - providing the meat and leather that feeds them and contributes significantly to the economy that sustains them.
The comments in that thread you referenced in your article shows how twisted the minds of these people have become.

Could you believe NO ONE noticed or made reference to the strong condemnation issued by the Sultan over the atrocities and the fact that he called on security agencies to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice- all they cared about was that the Sultan dared to say NOT ALL Fulanis are criminals!!

My question is, what offence did the Sultan commit condemning the crimes, calling for the criminals to be dealt with and insisting not ALL the tribesmen are criminals (which is a statement of truth) that they had to heap such insults on him??

Just look at their comments here, more insults and little or no show of intelligent engagement except the attempt by Luvinhobby for which I'm pleasantly shocked. cheesy

No Vanguard or local media, print or electronic designated Fulani herdsmen 2nd most deadly terror group globally, the international community did.

Name any other tribe commonly associated with nomadic cattle rearing aside the Fulanis.

Which other nomadic cattlle rearing 'tribe' is known for attaching higher premium to cows life than human life?

Defending a people who came out openly to justify their violent aggression with the loss of their cattle lives is very contradictory.

Numerous tribes & people groups from Edo, Delta, Enugu, Kogi, Benue, Ondo, Kaduna, Taraba, Ogun & Adamawa had at various times, more recently attributed rape, kidnaps & wanton killings to Fulani herdsmen must have done that out of an 'amazing' national lying synchronisation that deserves global applause.

Please tell me Chief Olu Falae who had direct personal encounter with those monsters as a kidnap victim must be telling a Septugenarian lie of immense proportion.
You guys should stop trying too hard to sell a lie. At no point did any "international community" designate Fulani Herdsmen as "2nd most deadly" terrorist organisation. What GTI said was Fulani Militant Group but you guys and the press have twisted it to "Fulani herdsmen"

www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/global-terrorism-index-nigerian-fulani-militants-named-as-fourth-deadliest-terror-group-in-world-a6739851.html

So, since one encounter allegedly confirms they are Fulanis, it means the rest unconfirmed incidents were carried out by fulanis also?? Is that what you are saying??

Are all drug related crimes committed by Igbos?? The answer is an emphatic NO!!

Criminal profiling never helps any community mr. That is the message I'm passing across.

My view is that attributing support of pmb and this administration to the invasion of the so called " fulani herdsmen" is a stalking horse for the so called " Islamic agenda" argument. Where did these herdsmen suddenly appear from? Who arms them? Who do they sell cows to- is it the same people they kill?

The question to be asked is " whose interests do these events serve, especially so early in this admin's life? Why is this happening at the very same time that the BH threat is receding? Things are often not what they appear to be.

We all have our biases but this should not blind us from asking ourselves hard and searching questions.

Nigeria belongs to us all and we should beware of fifth columnists who profit from disorder, suspicion the break down of relationships and society
And the bold is exactly part of the problem- people making it appear as though these events just "suddenly" started occurring because Buhari, a Fulani man, is the president. Have you been in Nigeria or you just arrived?? Who told you the herdsmen just "suddenly" started appearinghuh

As per the international body you talked about- can I hold you to your word?? Can we say their opinion is totally indisputable?? Do we agree we WILL ALWAYS accept whatever they say as truth regardless of how unpalatable they are??

Let's for the purpose of argument agree to wha they said- does it then mean that all attacks carried out by herdsmen are done by Fulani herdsmenhuh

unfortunately for you Igbo traders unlike the Fulani herdsmen throw money around and dont look for free land to do business..so even if a city or community decides to set aside a land for Igbo traders to build shops ( dont see that happening anywhere anyway since locals also are interested in Igbos parting with their money for land) it will not stop the capitalistic ones in that town or communities from parting with their land not set aside for igbos shops because they also will want the Igbo money..it is simply biz...fulani herdsmen I am not sure are too interested in paying for land and grazing only on that land
That is the reason why I said if the Senators can't accept such a proposal, they can/will no longer talk about some damn grazing bill and the matter would effectively be put to rest.

Omenka. Too long. Not worth reading. I read the first few lines and realised ur parents/people must have contributed to ur loss of geometric reasoning. In their bid to make Fulanis appear abrasive, they succeeded in making them mysterious with superhero powers though diabolical by telling u they could change men into livestocks. This had the effect of making u see them as sort of supernatural. You held them in high esteem subconsciously. I hate to burst ur bubble, they are confirmed Fulani herfsmen. They don't deny it, why do u feel the need to deny it for them?
The way I look at u, if they rape ur wife and daughter, u will blame ur wife and daughter for being at the right place at the wrong time.

Keep contradicting urself.

As a child, u got to know the fulani men by their facial appearances, their long braided hairs, their mode of dressing and all that, but in your rush to justify the dastardly acts perpetrated by some fulani herdsmen, u went ahead to rubbish an eye witness encounter by a person who happened to get their inhumane act of destroying a farm land somewhere in abuja, by asking how the person got to know they are fulani herdsmen.

Well, the person got to know they are fulanis the same way u were able to distinguish them when u were a kid by their physical appearances and all that.

Regarding the knotty Grazing Reserve bill, I had this interesting idea I'd like to share.

Igbos, for instance, are known to be adept at commerce. Give them a cent today and they give you a dollar the next day. I was thinking, instead of getting too emotional about the bill trying to put it down with an emotional "they are attempting to take our lands" wail, why don't we suggest that areas across the country be specifically earmarked for Igbos to build shops and carry out their commerce?? cheesy. Think about it, if NASS rejects such a proposal, then they wouldn't even have the moral right to contemplate a grazing bill- and that cleverly KILLS IT without much noise- simple.

We need to be smart about these things.

Another incident worthy of note was the thread regarding cattle sighted in front of CBN. The comments on that thread were simply a disgusting evidence of how some people, for reason of an electoral defeat, have allowed hatred to dismember their conscience!

Hell, is cattle moving on our streets (much as it is wrong) a new thing?? How twisted are the minds of some people to think the are cattle passing in front of CBN because a Fulani man is today the president?? That is totally preposterous.

We've had some incidences of near collisions between cattle and aircraft on runways in the past and people took them for what they were- an accident luckily avoided. Imagine the image that would be painted if that happens today!!!

I see some bold caption like Fulani Herdsmen take over airports in Southern Nigeria!!!

Can't people see the pattern that is forming here??

Jeez.
