Like I said, the subsidy is in another thread. When you lump them all into one, people may not get all the message. We gotta break them by piece
Good strategy. There are a billion and one things to be said about this indescribably inept and corrupt government. We'd take them bit by bit so those partially handicapped upstairs can keep pace.

I wonder why he hasn't responded to my post.

The more I see post like these, the more I'm made to believe that APC got nothing to offer as far as economic development is concerned.

Every government have a peculiar kind of challenge. Challenge of international trade as it affect world economic activities and the Nigerian economy.
Using international reserves as a yardstick to economic performance without considering other economic indices prior to GEJ administration is laughable.

High external reserve with poor economic indices is as good as nothing.
@ Paragraph 1. Do you mind highlighting the developmental strides PDP/Jonathan has recorded in the last 5years??

@ 2. This is laughable. When Jonathan was going about all over the country promising an eldorado in 2011, was he oblivious of the "economic" indices within and without the country?? Didn't he realise that they weigh heavily on one's ability to make deliveries on promises?? Was he ignorant of the facts as they were or he was just lying or he was just dumb??

@3. Ok, if we were to excuse him on the external reserve, and take him on on the prevailing economic indices (since an administration cannot solely be assessed on that), tell us, what is the average life expectancy of a Nigerian today? What is out per capita GDP/ PPP? What is the level of income disparity? What is the figure of our balance of trade? What is the standard of living of an average Nigerian (reminds me of a documentary where it was revealed that the standard of living of a German sustained by Welfare is more than that of an average American!! shocked). What is our infants mortality rate? What is the inflation rate? How about unemployment ratehuh Are these figures fancier than they were before Jo took overhuh

i dont understand how some Nigerians think, How can u expect Nigerian as africa biggest market and west Africa most powerfull country to not be alive to its responsibility, it in Nigerian best interest to see that the Military hnd over power to Civil government and that d west African Nation did not degenerate into war because it they do, Arms will follow from that Nation into Nigerian state and into hands of BH which will lead to d escalation of Violence and Bloodshed.

for those that are saying dat mr.President shldnt hv visited, what if their is war in that country and Mortar, missile and other grade A weapon fall into d hands of BH, they will immediately hold d whole north and Push south wich may fall within months, another question is how did Isis bcame so powerful? its because they infiltrate hotspot(war zone) and catcher away grade A weapon which we shld not allow BH to hv.

pls Nigerians b4 u call ur president Names pls think first and know that he took that action as a Good president that understand that economic prosperity grows in d same Environment where peace stays.
Shame on you!!!

Nigeria's government's responsibility is principally to the Nigerian people and NO ONE ELSE!! The Constitution of the FRN says so!

Gosh, I hate it that I'm even dignifying this post with a response!

I really wished you didn't bring this link up because it clearly nullifies everything you had written. While GEJ haven't performed to expectation, it is uncharitable to pass the burden created by many decades of under-development in this country on him.
You are being clever by half. This line of yours was exactly the crux of the thread some member created yesterday; passing the buck of Jonathan's misrule to his predecessors.

What exactly do you guys suppose we can blame Jonathan for?? Are the figures of our foreign reserves prettier than they were when he took over in 2010?? In 2011 alone the reserves dipped by a whopping $3.5billion! How much savings has Jonathan made year on year since he was sworn into office?? Do the figures of these savings give any hint of fiscal prudence especially when juxtaposed with those of his immediate predecessors huh

Away from that, since in your books the problems precede Jonathan's administration, hence cannot be blamed on him, tell us, can we blame him for losing swathes of territories to a gang of marauding terrorists?? If I can remember correctly, there has never been a moment in our vastly checkered history where a square meter of land was lost to some violent secessionist groups, now we've lost a number of local governments and counting!

What a shameless gang of lairs.

Power generation reached this and that point, yet when you go out to get some stuff done in town, you get nauseous with fumes from generators and almost get deaf from the noise coming from the same. I've been spending no less than N1500 every 30hrs to fuel my generator!!

This government has lost all credibility honestly. Even the rodents in Aso Rock can pick out the lies in every story they tell us.

The electorates are just like pawns in the game of chess, easily sacrifices to protect the Officials. Thesame situation obtains worldwide but Nigeria's is just simply barbaric!!

Same thoughts coursed through my mind the other day a picture of Fayose's sons were uploaded here. People went; "wow, see fweshness", "hmm, doro hansome", "awww, cute dudes", "kai, money good oo", "god punish poverty". These "handsome, fwesh, good looking and cute" guys are the people you would never find in the streets causing trouble during, before or after elections, cos their lives cannot be put on the line for whatever reason! When politicians stir up violence you can't find them in the streets wielding sticks, throwing rocks, carrying placards or waving green leaves! You can't find them snatching ballot boxes from polling units. Hell, if possible they wouldn't be allowed to breath the same air that has been "contaminated" buy the breaths of you and I. They sit in their fortified bunkers and watch us rip ourselves apart over chaos they instigated.

Such a pity Nigerians can't see the handwriting on the wall.
Politics › Re: No President Resigns During War, Jonathan Tells APC by omenka(m): 6:26am On Nov 07, 2014
No president does but I guess there are presidents that travel to other countries to pre-empt an impending war when their own country is at war.

Wow!! What a presidency.

Useless fo.ool

Continue to create posts.
Very typical, just like your lord; hound a man for exposing corruption.

Whenever I think about Jonathan and the manner in which he manages the country's wealth, all I remember are Amanpour's words in the interview she had with him when he attended a meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Below was her question:

Obviously you sit atop massive reserves of natural gas
and that leads me to the whole issue of corruption
which you say you are trying to tackle. And when
people look at Nigeria and see all your wealth, they
say, “Oh my goodness! This is a country that is stealing
and bleeding itself dry.”
Even your own minister, your
minister of finance, has talked about, you know, just
this past April, perhaps 400,000 barrels of oil a day
simply being stolen, simply disappearing without any
account. One of your ministers has said that the level
of theft from the country, from the government,
amounts to about $7bn a year. That’s still a problem,
isn’t it?
And Jonathan's awesome reply was:

In fact when you talk about crude oil stealing, yes
I agree with you. Frankly speaking, we want
international community to support Nigeria. Because
this stolen crude is being bought by refineries abroad
and they know the crude was stolen. The world must
condemn what is wrong. The stolen crude is refined
abroad, is not refined in Nigeria.
People around the president know deep down he should have absolutely no business whatsoever with leadership.

Op, may you live long.

What gets to me the most is Jo's knack for shifting goal posts and passing buck. In his books, the smart guy is that who never accepts any faults or wrongdoing. He's oblivious of the universal truth that no man is without blemish. No sooner does one accuse him of a wrong deed before they spring into defence mode, like programmed robots.

Such a damn shame we have to put up to him for another coupla months since we have a largely ineffective legislature!!
