06 November 2014, Lagos - The Asset management company of Nigeria, AMCON, has handed over of Capital Oil Group to Ifeanyi Ubah, after amicable settlement of all outstanding issues between both parties.

The has also debunked what it described as “some false statements,” including sacking of some staff.

In a terse statement, by Kayode Lambo, AMCON’s spokesman, said “the insinuation that AMCON may have laid off staff is incorrect. Capital Oil may be referring to possible loss of jobs down its own supply chain that may have been affected when there was a stand-off while the court order obtained by Amcon was being contested by Capital Oil itself.”

An earlier statement by Lambo announcing the return of Capital Oil Group to Ubah, linked the development was sequel to “amicable settlement of all pending legal disputes between the parties.

“Cosequent upon this settlement, Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah will be resuming his role as the Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil and Gas Group.

“His resumption as the MD/CEO of Capital Oil/Gas brings to an end the management of Capital Oil/Gas by AMCON… “, the statement added.

constituted by President Goodluck Jonathan to re-
investigate the findings of the report of an earlier
investigation panel set up by the Ministry of Finance
on Fuel Subsidy payments valued at over N2 trillion.
Where was he absolved of fraudulently receiving subsidy payments in the report you quoted above??

OP,what proof do you have to show that it is GEJ that released Capital oil and gas to its owner,Ifeanyi Ubah?
AMCON operates under the thumb of the president without whose approval properties/assets of this nature can neither be confiscated nor relinquished.
One would simply be playing the ostrich by trying to absolve the president of involvement in this.

The Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON)
yesterday reinstated Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah as the Managing Di
rector/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Oil and Gas
(COG), nearly 17 months after it took over the assets and
management of the oil firm following a controversial loan
deal involving Access Bank and Coscharis Group.

The reinstatement of Ubah puts to rest the close to two
years management of the company by AMCON.
Ifeanyi Uba is the major financier and coordinator of TAN.

Why was capital oil returned back to him?? Why isn't he in jail??

Boko Haram Releases New Video On Captured Towns,
Shekau Seen Preaching To Locals

A new Boko Haram video obtained by AFP on Sunday shows militants on an armoured vehicle parading down a road in an unidentified town they apparently control and the group's leader Abubakar Shekau preaching to locals. In the 44-minute video, residents are also shown cheering the terrorists. In addition, Shekau is heard reiterating that there are no ongoing ceasefire talks with the government, and threatening to kill the man purported to be Boko Haram’s negotiator. He also expresses support for ISIS and other so-called caliphates, similar to the one he claims to have established in Nigeria. “To everyone living in Islamic Caliphate, we convey our greetings,” he said, specifically giving a shout out to “brethren” in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Shishan/Chechnya, Yemen, Somalia and “the Caliphate in Iraq and Syria.”

I don't trust these Americans. Hope they are not covertly arming the terrorists: load a plane with bombs and guns, pilot it to Boko Haram stronghold, and then deliberately subtly "crash" it covering up the actual purpose of the mission which is to deliver arms to Boko Haram to further distabilize the country.

Sadly, we have a bunch of clowns runing the country's intelligentsia.

God help us.

It was learned that a governorship aspirant on the platform of the APC, (name withheld) was being questioned by the police in connection with the killing.
This has been my grouse with law enforcement!! angry
What is wrong in naming a suspect?? Oh, I see what is wrong, he's likely a big man!!angry

Had this been about some poor guy who was accused of some petty crime, the police would have invited all media houses including CNN to the station, stripped the "suspect" down to his boxers only, chain him (if he's lucky, he gets handcuffs), make him sit on the ground, and have his name and pictures sent to all ends of the earth in 5seconds!!

Regardless of his political affiliation, the fullness of the wrath of the law must be brought to bear on those found guilty. No one has the right to take another man's life just like that!

Boko haram sponsors are walking free on the street of northern Nigeria and Buhari is seen as messiah while Ihejirika Who "show" boko haram "pepper" is being dragged to ICC.
Odefolio, why don't you go drag Buhari who is the major sponsor to courthuh

@post: ICC can go to hell in 7 different ways!! I hate what they represent and what they do! That court was set up simply to consider cases involving Africans, and some war criminals from some poor Balkan States, including some parts of Asia.

I was disgusted to my marrows when I read that ICC had declined to prosecute the case involving a Turkish Flotila (2011 incident) carrying aids bound for Gaza with dozens of activists on board, ten of whom died when the Flotila was boarded/raided by Israeli soldiers!! 10 unarmed CIVILIANS murdered in broad day light!!!

The court's president says after considering all the facts of the case, there is STONG EVIDENCE TO SUGGEST THAT ISRAEL COMMITTED WAR CRIMES but the court declines to prosecute the case!! Is Israel outside the jurisdiction of the courthuh What about George Bush and Tony Blair?? Just a couple of weeks back, they arm twisted Uhuru Kenyata, President of a sovereign nation, to appear before them yet they can't prosecute a single Israeli soldier, it is beyond them!! ICC represents the height of double standards and hypocrisy.

Not a fan of Ihejirika, neither am I a fan of Sheriff, but Fvck the ICC and their white supremacist agenda!! Let Africans handle their shiit domestically! angry

You still haven't answered my simple and innocuous question. Is it affordable to a man who earns 40K per month? I really want to know the economic strata of our society that can afford these wonderful houses built by Fashola.
For a suppermod what you are doing, blatantly showing your resentment for anything APC, is absolutely inappropriate mr.

I can't count the number of threads in the politics section which have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with politics, yet have been running on the board for weeks on end! No one's tampered with them!! Why were you so quick to transfer this into this dingy place where people hardly visit?? Haba!!

What is your fixation about people of 40k income range being able to afford the houses?? Is that what your take home is?? Do they look like round huts to you?? How many housing projects built by any governor across the country are affordable by 40k salary earners?? Would the post have landed on the fp or retained in the politics section had you been told it is affordable by that class of income earnershuh

I hate complaining about how some of you guys treat pro APC topics/issues because more often than not, what one gets is a ban rather than a redress. Imagine someone like Nqwakwe being brought back as a mod!! Isn't that just unbecoming of the admin??

If I were you, I'd restore this to its original section.
