President Jonathan plays politics with Maturity devoid of Bitterness!
Love his simple nature
Withdrawal of the Speaker's security simply because he left the president's party is maturity.

Endlessly hounding a Nigerian for revealing that he stole 20billion dollars is maturity.

Killing a security chief because he revealed the president's party is behind insurgency in the north is maturity.

Telling Nigerians who demand transparency in government "I don't give a damn" is maturity.

Threatening to sack lecturers for holding him to account for a deal he duly signed is maturity.

Etc etc etc are very mature moves by the president!!!

Yeye dey smell.

The above has exposed how d.umb this government is, in one line the mo.ron says the insurgents called for talks and in another line he says their line of command is not well defined. My question is; If you knew they are factionalized without a clearly defined line of command, why did you (federal government) go ahead to honour a cease fire knowing fully well you were talking to one of several factions?
It is unbelievable a government official actually said those words!! Just look at how Jonathan and his gang reason, yet fools come here to rant about age and religion!!

Sometimes I want to puke at the sight of these men. They are awfully irritating.

You know something...I am tired of Nigerians.

It seems that we are not willing to pay attention to the issues....rather we engage in inane and weird talk about religion and tribe and so on.

Let me tell you something about any Nigerian leader's attempt to Chrstianise or Islamise this country. It won't end well. And it would bite everyone in the back....elite and non-elite.

So, can we please GROW UP.....and discuss the issues here? Like our seriously oil dependent economy, and our lack of electrical power?
It is very irritating my brother. Religion, tribe and age became an issue since Jonathan started campaigning for re-election. Jonathan is completely damaged goods. Not a single tangible achievement he can place a finger on to sell himself to the electorates. He himself said in 2011, that if he can't fix the problem of power supply in 4years, then he is unworthy of being sent back to Aso Rock.
Politics › Re: History Of Nigerian Presidents & Their Religious Beliefs by omenka(m): 3:21pm On Nov 04, 2014
Op my God increase your wisdom a hundred folks!!

I said it yesterday, I'm repeating it again, all these talks about religion, age and region are absolutely nonsensical. That of religion is particularly nauseating due to its volatility. These antics never were issues, but had to became topical issues today since Jonathan and his gang have absolutely nothing tangible upon which to base their campaign. Dwelling on these frivolous considerations take the eyes of the electorates off the ball and indeed, the goal post!!

We've had numerous bad leaders in this country and the cut across both major faiths and tribes. So if you ask me, what one should be considering in making that choice of whom to led us beyond 2015 is the politician's antecedents and not their age, tribe, religion, or where they come from. Such considerations, to me, are supposed to be exclusive preserve of tauts and illiterates.

God bless the op.

Politics › Re: What To Do When A TANoid Posts His Lies-Simple Step by omenka(m): 2:28pm On Nov 04, 2014
What I have learnt over the years is that: when a lie is sufficiently repeated, over time, it starts assuming the shape of truth, especially if it is not challenged.

I have recommended what the op said before, but that tactic is a double edged sword: it could decapitate the lair in some instance and in others, the opposite.

Imagine the lies these saTANist bombard this board with on a daily basis. In some cases, if the lie is audacious enough, it attracts instant traffic from people with like minds as the op. These people's comments populate the zeroth, first, and second pages, and most visitors don't read beyond these pages. The mind of an undecided viewer and NL member tends to be swayed in the direction of the opinion of majority of the comments of the thread. In such a case, the truth is most likely to be tossed into the trash bin! So it is best that such articles be immediately countered before they grow bones. But then, how can one do this when one is busy facing their desks in the office or equipment in the work field?? Most of these saTANists are idle folks with nothing to go by besides their online presence!! Most of them are given stipends to post the things they post.

So by and large, I think I'd go with barcanista on this one. Or if I might make a recommendation, I'd say in order not to make such threads popular by commenting on them thereby keeping them hanging atop the rest of the important threads on the board, a counter thread should be opened as soon as any such thread is encountered, and appropriate mentions made so as to draw comments from right thinking folks in here.

Thanks.

Everyday they shout "Buhari will lose", yet they just can't seem to take a moment's rest off his case. This is the first time I've seen someone so "likely to fail" induce so much fear in an opponent.

Article after article, lies after lies, propaganda after propaganda, yet, the General's popularity waxes stronger!

Jonathan can already picture his wrists adorned with handcuffs and is so desperate to buy a couple more years of freedom by staying put in Aso Rock beyond 2015, an event whose likelyhood is as scanty as black hair on Soyinka's head!

Everyone can now clearly see why there has been a sudden surge in terrorist activities as General Buhari's popularity spikes. Someone is scared shitless of confronting the General at the polls!!

Nigeria has never had it worse.

I bet Oritsejafor finally took delivery of the weapons after his jet and the monies were released. Boko Haram appears to have regained their vitality.

I used to have high respect for tambuwal but with his recent "smart" attitude, I now count him as others. Same greedy and mischievous politicianundecided
You can add the respect you withdrew from him to that which you have for Jonathan for all he cares.

Jonathan thinks this is Rivers State House of Assembly or the Governors Forum where he commissions proxies to advance his uncanny agenda, an agenda that is at complete variance with the dictates of true democracy and all that saw him rise to where he is today.

Jonathan's recent misadventures will surely see him hit the ground limping and his political career put to sleep forever. Never seen a man who's made enemies with such ferocious zeal as him.

Tambuwal is going nowhere and Jonathan is going back his village. Perhaps he can go pastor that bribe Church Built by that Italian contractor (rest his soul) in Utuoke, and yes, he can take Oritsejafor with him.

I don't know what you mean by "what you are defending", but in case you need some heads up, I'm totally averse to religious politicking and scaremongering as practised by jonathan and his minions. It is too volatile a brand I wouldn't like to see it thrive in this country.

Why didn't any of these discussions arise under the regimes that preceded Jonathan'shuh Aren't we supposed to be discussing issues relating to economics and security given that they are the core issues that effect everyone right to the foetus in our mothers' and sisters' wombs?? Why the fixation on religion??

Keep me out of such discussions. Thanks.

how convenient is it for you to insult at will rather than present a counter argument, shame

all the people clamoring for the armnesty are supporters of APC, even though some were from PDP, they ran because Jonathan refused to let them have it as usual.

you see now that APC want to Islamise Nigeria because thats what boko haram also want. that's why they dared to present a Muslim Muslim ticket.

you may need to know that sharia and mosque is in the constitution but no Christianity or church. its a battle that started a very long time ago, wake up.

stop fighting a course you barely understand

you are just been used to push an idea you know little or nothing about, you really need to sleep over some coincidence if you have time
And while I await your response to the above post, I wanna make a passionate appeal: whenever you want to talk about religion in the politics board especially as regards people wanting to islamise the country, keep me out of it. It disgusts me.

When jonathan jumps from one church to another, from one country to another, kneeling and genuflecting before some so called men of God, no one raises any eye brow. No one says he wants to christianise Nigeria. When Jonathan attended a meeting of OIC, no one said anything. When he renewed our membership of OIC, again, no one said anything!! Why then are you people making all these noisehuh

I find this kind of politicking very irritating, and would really be grateful if you and your kind kept my name out of it.

Thank you.
