The possible ban is not unconnected to the judgment of the court in Jos against the new NFF President. FIFA has always told the football bodies in all countries to settle disputes outside the civil courts.

If not for Isa Hayatu, Nigeria would have been banned by FIFA last weekend. But for the CAF President who pleaded with the world football for Nigeria to at least play the final of the AWC with Cameroun in Namibia, FIFA decided to extend the possible ban to this week.

On the judiciary being the third arm of government, where do we situate this in relation to Buhari, as a military Head of State (1984-1985) or as a civilian President?
In miliitary rule, there is no third arm (judiciary). There are just the Supreme Military Council (Armed Forces Ruling Council used by Babangida/ Provincial Ruling Council used by Abacha) and the Federal Executive Council. The work done by the judiciary in democracy is done by a special tribunal under the military.
Buhari as a civilian President will make sure bodies like EFCC and ICPC are revived.

Buhari never sentenced anybody, but only set up the tribunal/commission that sentenced them.

It's Jonathan that should be told this because Buhari is winning him in 2015. He should be aware of what Buhari/Idiagbon did to the politicians in the second republic (1979-1983): They were sentenced to various terms imprisonment on the grounds of corruption. Umaru Dikko who escaped to London abducted and put in a crate to be taken to Nigeria for trial, but fortunate for him he was rescued.

Have you seen the calendar used in Ethiopia? It's behind the Gregorian calendar we're used to.

Yesterday, Saturday was actually the beginning of the new year in the Islamic calendar. Being a weekend, as it's with other public holidays, the first day of the working week, Monday will be observed as the holiday.

It's unfortunate PDP e-rats are promoting Jonathan but just after smearing Buhari's image. It's like not marketing one's products but just telling customers how bad the products of one's rival are.

I don't expect any right thinking Niger Deltan to vote for Jonathan. He has over four years yet the East-West Road is in bad shape. Removing him in 2015 is a task that must be carried out by all.
