Well, a few things come to mind... If its changing to something like 1990, 198ish year or one very far away date, that might be the cmos battery.
If its changing withing a few hour, typically +/- 8hours, that might be auto time settings / daylight savings / regional settings....you can take a look in your control panel for that...
