Mumusaphire: Hmmmm. But sentiment aside, is it only south west and north we have in this country? When they are arranging this from d beginning, it should have been to south east. Obasanjo spent 8 years, yaradua, 3 years, Jonathan, 5 years, buhari is about to spend 8 years, so why not allow IBO also to be president. I know if they can be allow to rule us, Nigeria can be a better place. Let forget about media lies and focus on reality. Media are doing a lot of damages in this country than good when they knew if they posted fake news about someone, nothing will happen. How many times u hear about about northern elite on media? They know how to play it under G. But everytime, they painting other region bad. Before u come to my mention, let me remind u that, ómó Yòrubaà àtààtà nì mí.... God bless Nigeria Exactly. Well said! |

AshiwajuFoward: Abegi. Nobody denied SE anything. They were waiting for others to gift them the presidency without doing the needful. The SE grassroots are dominated by bigots and secessionists, while their elite are a spineless lot. They were expecting the likes of Tinubu to champion their cause for the presidency, the same people they lambast unceasingly online daily. Did Tinubu have it easy in his quest for the presidential ticket? Imagine the opposition he himself went through politically before he triumphed at the just concluded primaries, yet some hate-filled ibos somewhere expect him to fight for them to become president. Una never ready. Tinubu spent a lot. Bribing and doing unhealthy things to get the presidential slot. Is that doing a lot. And should we encourage this in our political space. Mortgaging our future and that of our children for pecuniary gains. But clinching the ticket is not a guarantee to win the presidential elections next year. Unity of middle belt and southern entities will guarantee the victory of Tinubu. Not ethnic bantering. The North will rally round behind Atiku to ensure power stays in the North. |

APCnaPDP: Biafra will not come, you can cry from now to the end of the world, you won’t get Biafra. This article is highly unnecessary, build bridges and not this. Get your people involved in politics, let them get PVCs, increase or inflate your voting strength and people will take you seriously. Tinubu won because he worked for it, no one gets anything on a platter.
You have your people scattered all over Nigeria, go and work on your region, become a force and see how your outlook changes. If you like threaten Nigeria with Biafra , you won’t get it. Comments coming from a misguided mascot/Tinubu supporter. You should be ignored! |

TheFacelessMan: Someone who mercilessly beat a President + Vice president + Senate President at the same time needs no region but the ones he deems fit.
"Recognize a real Don when you see one" Biggie Smalls said. But Tinubu needs unity of the South to survive. Playing along the trajectory of division won't help him. It's sad the south is sharply divided along ethnic and party lines. |

LegendHero: Ohaneze Ndigbo are conglomerate of fools. Asiwaju should not dignify them with a reply.
Same Ohaneze are damn scared to criticize Atiku even tho they got more right to presidency in APC than PDP.
I only pity the minor Yorubas that are forming woke to please the Ibos. These guys main goal is to keep the Yoruba man down, they don’t hate the Northerners, they are only bitter about the Yorubas because they can’t beat the Yoruba in the South in anything.
They are congratulating Ibo aspirants in APC lol, same aspirants that sold their birthright and couldn’t muster more than 20 delegate vote collectively from their region.
I will wait for them to retract the statement because I don’t trust Sowore newspaper. I am not surprised with your verbose because of your attachment to Tinubu. Read the communiqué again and gauge the grouse against APC. Ditto PDP. As ethnic evanchist, you're free to say anything. After all, opinion is universally free. |

bennybuhari: https://independent.ng/swaga-asks-atiku-to-get-ready-says-tinubu-coming-with-full-force/ SWAGA has done a good job. At least, ensuring Tinubu clinch Presidential ticket. It's an achievement. But the presidential election is a different ball game. Securing the Presidency is not going to be easy because of primordial considerations. The northern governors supporting Tinubu, a Southerner, will play along the trajectory of northern presidency. So, they will ensure their brother, Atiku, wins and power comes back to North. That's the problem at hand. |

You think Tinubu will clinch the Presidency? Wishful thinking! I bet you in the election proper in February 2023, Tinubu shall be disgraced. Rigging he is a master art, shall be taken care of. So,how does he win? The end justifies the means. Tinubu could try but can't win. His dubious antecedents speaks volumes. |

Someone who can’t even win his home state for the party want the president to impose him as the party’s presidential candidate despite his unpopularity. Is that how democracy works? Nonsense. Address the issues raised. Not the messenger. Don't be blighted by ethnic bigotry. The man is right. So much injustice in the polity. Our federalism is a warped one. Take note. |

Faiththatworks: I remember my lst post on Nairaland last year when I registered,I was emphatic in saying only a mad southern will go and queue behind another Northern in 2023. I was sure both major political parties,APC and PDP will at least cede their presidential candidate to the South, but it's now very obvious the PDP has fully ceded its brain to the North. Back to the matter, last week I posted that I had ported to the side of Asiwaju and some very deluded folks on Nairaland Rained insults on me,these neophytes who don't understand Nigeria politics replied with all manner of insults but I was very sure the signs were there for an Asiwaju Victory. Now Asiwaju has won with a landslide, for those OBItuary people,ur candidate will be defeated 30 mins into the election. I still don't understand why the PDP didn't zone its presidency to the South, SHAME ON ANY SOUTHERNER WHO QUEUES BEHIND ATIKU As for the APC, we move to crushing that serial contester, Abubakar Atiku.
