This was a message, not an attack, they knew most of the drones will be intercepted

Iran has been saying it for two weeks that they would retaliate, they also informed turkey 72 hours before the attack, turkey is a NATO country

If their intention was to cause maximum damage, they would have launched a surprise attack without informing anybody using hypersonic and ballistic missiles which are much more deadlier and they travel faster than cruise missiles and drones.

By broadcasting everything, it gave USA, Israel and allies ample of time to get their fighter jets into the air to intercept those missiles

Israel will never inform you if they want to strike, the reason most of their attacks are always successful

The message is look, we are not afraid of you and we can hit you as well

Religion / Re: How To Dealing With Church Sleepers Respectfully by OmoGomesIlorin: 9:50pm On Mar 06
Waking someone who is sleeping in church is a matter that requires sensitivity and discernment. Here are several reasons why you might choose not to wake someone who is sleeping during a church service:

1. Respect for Personal Space: - Waking someone abruptly may invade their personal space. Respecting individuals' privacy and allowing them to rest without interruption demonstrates consideration.

2. Spiritual Reflection: - Some individuals may be engaging in spiritual reflection or prayer while appearing to be asleep. Interrupting this private moment may disrupt their connection with the divine.

3. Health or Fatigue: - The person may be dealing with health issues or extreme fatigue. Waking them could add stress or discomfort, and it's essential to consider their well-being.

4. Emotional Distress: - Individuals going through emotional distress may find solace in the quiet and contemplative atmosphere of a church. Waking them might not be helpful in such situations.

5. Age or Physical Condition: - Elderly individuals or those with physical conditions might need more rest. Waking them might be physically challenging or cause disorientation.

6. Cultural or Religious Practices: - Some cultures or religious traditions may view moments of rest or contemplation during a service as acceptable. It's crucial to respect diverse perspectives and practices.

7. Potential Embarrassment: - Waking someone in a public setting, especially if they were unaware they were dozing off, may lead to embarrassment. Consider the impact on their emotional state.

8. Temporary Fatigue: - It's possible that the person is temporarily fatigued and will naturally wake up on their own. For short naps, allowing them to awaken naturally may be the most considerate approach.

9. Worship Style Differences: - Different individuals engage with worship in various ways. Some may prefer to close their eyes and meditate, and waking them may disrupt their worship style.

10. Judgment-Free Approach: - Adopting a non-judgmental attitude is crucial. Assuming the best about someone's intentions and considering that they may have valid reasons for appearing asleep can foster a more compassionate approach.

In general, it's advisable to exercise empathy and discretion when deciding whether to wake someone in a church setting. If waking them seems necessary, consider doing so discreetly and with kindness, taking into account the specific circumstances and the potential impact on the individual's experience.
Religion / Re: How To Dealing With Church Sleepers Respectfully by OmoGomesIlorin: 9:49pm On Mar 06
If you're looking for practical tips to avoid falling asleep in church, here are ten suggestions:

1. Adequate Sleep: - Ensure you get sufficient sleep the night before attending church. A well-rested body and mind are less likely to succumb to drowsiness.

2. Stay Hydrated: - Dehydration can contribute to fatigue. Drink enough water before and during the service to stay alert.

3. Engage with the Sermon: - Actively listen to the sermon and engage with the message. Taking notes or mentally reflecting on the content can help maintain focus.

4. Participate in Worship: - Singing, praying, and participating in worship activities can help keep your mind and body active, reducing the likelihood of falling asleep.

5. Sit Near the Front: - Sitting closer to the front of the church can create a sense of accountability and engagement. It may help you feel more connected to the service.

6. Vary Your Posture: - Change your posture regularly. If you start to feel drowsy, shift in your seat, stand up discreetly, or stretch to stay awake.

7. Bring a Snack: - Eating a small, healthy snack before or during the service can provide a subtle energy boost and help combat drowsiness.

8. Engage in Conversations: - If appropriate, engage in brief conversations with fellow attendees during breaks or greetings. Social interaction can help keep you alert.

9. Choose an Active Role: - Volunteer for a role in the church, such as reading scripture, leading a prayer, or participating in a ministry. Being actively involved can increase your sense of responsibility and engagement.

10. Accountability Partner: - Attend church with a friend or family member and agree to keep each other accountable for staying awake and engaged during the service.

Remember that everyone may experience moments of fatigue, and it's normal. These tips are meant to enhance your engagement with the service and help you stay alert. If you consistently struggle with staying awake, it might be helpful to evaluate your overall sleep habits and consider seeking medical advice if needed.
Religion / How To Dealing With Church Sleepers Respectfully by OmoGomesIlorin: 9:48pm On Mar 06
People may fall asleep in church for various reasons, and it's important to approach this with understanding and empathy. Here are ten possible reasons why individuals might doze off during a church service:

1. Fatigue: - Lack of sleep or physical exhaustion can lead to drowsiness during a church service. Individuals with busy schedules or demanding lifestyles may struggle to stay awake.

2. Health Issues: - People dealing with health conditions or medications that induce drowsiness may find it challenging to stay awake during a lengthy church service.

3. Monotonous or Lengthy Sermons: - If a sermon is excessively long or delivered in a monotonous manner, attendees may struggle to stay engaged, resulting in drowsiness.

4. Early Morning Services: - Morning services, especially early ones, may coincide with people's natural circadian rhythms, making it more difficult for them to stay awake.

5. Comfortable Environment: - The calming environment of a church, with soft lighting and sometimes soothing music, can unintentionally contribute to a sense of relaxation that may lead to drowsiness.

6. Mental Stress or Overwhelm: - Individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, or overwhelming life circumstances may find it challenging to stay focused during a church service, leading to fatigue.

7. Lack of Interest or Engagement: - If the content of the service fails to engage individuals or if they feel disconnected from the message, they may struggle to stay awake.

8. Routine Behavior: - Some people may have developed a habit of falling asleep during quiet, contemplative moments, and this behavior may carry over into a church setting.

9. Sleep Disorders: - Those with sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea or insomnia, may find it difficult to stay awake in any environment, including church.

10. Physical Discomfort: - Uncomfortable seating arrangements or other physical discomforts in the church setting may contribute to drowsiness.

It's crucial to approach this issue with compassion and understanding, as individuals may not intentionally fall asleep during a church service. Encouraging a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, considering the timing of services, and being mindful of individuals' needs can contribute to a more alert and participative congregation.

OP, your opinions are valid but I have come to realise that the quest for money and power has killed the conscience and Patriotism in a greater percentage of Nigerians.

All the opportunities you outlined can only work when we have more people with a sense of Patriotism and Consciousness to do the right things. But unfortunately the reverse is the case.

Honestly, the young people that suppose to think and solve Nigeria's problem by setting MSME, go into small to micro-production but choose to be lazy mentally. Food staples are getting expensive because locally-made alternatives cannot be found anywhere.

Ordinary recycling to keep the community clean can turn someone financially stable, GenZ are not talking about it only to JAPA to go and wash toilet over there

Reconsidering the Call to Japa: A Counter Perspective
Rejoinder to 11 Reasons Why You Must Japa From Nigeria
https://www.nairaland.com/7936687/11-reasons-why-must-japa#127418405

The recent post enumerating 11 reasons to encourage individuals to "Japa" from Nigeria presents a one-sided view of the situation. While acknowledging the challenges facing the nation, it is essential to consider a more balanced perspective before making such a life-altering decision. Below are my counterarguments to the points presented:

1. Diverse Futures in Nigeria:
The assertion that the future in Nigeria is uniformly bleak oversimplifies the complexity of the nation. Nigeria has a diverse and growing economy, with numerous success stories in various sectors. By actively participating in and contributing to the local economy, individuals can positively impact their own and their families' futures.

2. Access to Quality Life in Nigeria:
Nigeria does face challenges, but it also offers opportunities for a quality life. Investments in education, healthcare, and security are underway, and many individuals are successfully navigating these systems. Emigrating is not the only path to a fulfilling life.

3. Poverty Beyond Borders:
Generalizing that everyone who leaves Nigeria escapes poverty oversimplifies the multifaceted nature of economic challenges. Many Nigerians living abroad face their own financial struggles, and success is not guaranteed solely by leaving the country.

4. Life and Spiritual Fulfillment:
Suggesting that all life and spiritual problems end upon leaving Nigeria oversimplifies the human experience. People's beliefs and challenges vary, and attributing them solely to nationality is reductionist.

5. Prosperity Through Hard Work:
Success is not exclusive to geographical location. Hard work can lead to prosperity in any part of the world. Painting Nigeria as a place where success is only luck undermines the efforts of many hardworking individuals in the country.

6. Japa as Paradise:
Romanticizing emigration as paradise oversimplifies the challenges faced by immigrants in adapting to new environments. Success abroad often requires significant effort, resilience, and adaptation.

7. Trending vs. Critical Decision:
Making life-altering decisions based on trends may not be the most prudent approach. Trends are transient, and considering individual circumstances and goals is crucial in making such a significant decision.

8. Individual Paths and Success:
Labeling those who stay in Nigeria as failures oversimplifies success and happiness. Many individuals find fulfillment and success by contributing to the development of their home country.

9. Due Diligence and Informed Choices:
Ignoring due diligence when deciding to emigrate is risky. Thorough research and understanding of the destination country are essential to make informed decisions that align with personal goals and values.

10. Remaining Population in Nigeria:
Exaggerating the number of people who have emigrated may not accurately represent the current situation. Many Nigerians choose to stay and contribute positively to the nation's growth.

11. Life Expectancy and Mortality Rates:
Associating life expectancy solely with geographical location oversimplifies the factors influencing mortality rates. Health, lifestyle, and access to healthcare are significant contributors that vary globally. There locals who still live above 80 years.

In conclusion, the decision to emigrate is deeply personal and should be based on a comprehensive understanding of individual goals, circumstances, and the evolving landscape of the home country. Painting an entire nation with a broad brush may not capture the diverse experiences and opportunities available within it.
